- Presentation: Outstanding. Gorgeous layout and colors. Everything always looks highly appetizing. - Atmosphere: Trendy! Comfortable, quiet enough during slower hours, though Im sure sound carries strongly when its busy. Good layout, not cramped. - Price: Fair. Entrees were at expected levels, low teens to lower. Apps were reasonably priced too. - Service: EXCELLENT. Highly attentive and knowledgeable staff. Both professional and with good natured attitudes. I was disappointed that they were out of seaweed salad. - Flavor: Fair. Not as bold as many authentic Asian restaurants. They did Japanese fairly well and held the base notes of Vietnamese and Korean, but lacked the boldness in many areas. Not bad food by any means, but I ordered a side of kimchi (one of the BEST kimchis Ive ever had!) and gojuchang just to make up the missing elements. Korean beef lacked any sweetness, which was unusual, though not entirely unpleasant and the ramen was nice and dense with a broth flavorful on its own. Id definitely go back. I want to see what else they can do and I enjoyed the visit.

I dont give out 5-star reviews unless its for something special. Domo is something special. First, the food was fantastic -- it was hard to choose, but my wife and I split the kimchee fries, steamed buns, and Domo ramen. Typically getting appetizers at a restaurant is a risk, the portions are too small that you cant taste them, or too big so it is a meal on its own. What hey serve are perfect sizes to get you excited for what is next, combined with yum. The cocktail menu is pretty fun, there were about three or four drinks I wanted to try. Lots of things that you arent going to find anyplace else - green tea vodka, squash flavors, a selection of ginger. The prices are in cocktail range, but they are worth it. Strong, but not overpowering. Somebody down there knows how to make a drink. Normally I skip dessert but my wife wanted to try the Banana Lumpia. Its a banana, coated in an egg roll, and covered with caramel and peanuts. Does this come in IV form? I could eat it all night. Final review: Worth the visit.

I really wanted to like this place. Disappointed across the board, food and service, terrible. I have visited more than once to sample different parts of their menu. What I have found it is the food is bland at best. Their ramen (we tried a few) noodles were ok, broth blah, the only thing it had going for it was the spiciness in one of our bowls. Their sandwichs lacked any flavor, even with the pickled garnish and mayo. (tried the fried chix, their version of a hamburger, and the steamed buns were OK, Eggrolls nothing to write home about) What they did master was the texture just a big miss on flavor. Service, aside from the waitress messing up the order (could have been the cooks..?) and then screwed up how the bill was split (between 2 people), were nice enough. Place was empty every time I visited, that should tell you something. I would rather drive the extra mile to Masu (OK ramen) or one of the other ramen houses (like Ramen Kazama) also Pricing for this below average mediocre meal is priced high.

We had the Domo Ramen and the Kimchee Ramen. I enjoyed both. Not a ramen expert by any means, but wasnt sure where the bad reviews were coming from. The broth in both ramens was the chicken/pork broth which was very flavorful and the right amount of saltiness. There was plenty of veggies and noodles in both as well and a perfectly cooked egg on top. My critiques are that pork belly in the Domo Ramen was really fatty, I wouldnt have been able to eat it. And my Kimchee Ramen should have been a little spicier. It also had less than a spoonful of meat in the whole bowl. I also didnt like the egg roll, it was pure meat. I think that is Vietnamese style, but Im not a fan. I also think the required 20% tip is pretty steep. I generally tip 20% if I had great service, not as a baseline. Great beer selection, craft cocktails, and a few wines, although we ordered 2 beers that they were out of but that they hadnt taken off the menu. It took until our third try for them to have the beer we ordered.

We had the best brussel sprouts Ive eaten anywhere here. They were a little salty, and sweet, and seared just right. My fiance and I ate the entire bowl. I would go back just to eat the brussel sprouts and enjoy their delightful bar offerings. I had the compadre cocktail with dinner, and it was like a margarita only better, and went really well with all the other flavors! We also got the fried cauliflower (good) and the SUH hamburger. The burger was different; we liked it, but I wouldnt recommend it as a "safe" burger option for the less dining adventurous. Im excited to try the wings and some ramen next time. The inside is beautiful, theyve really put a lot of work into the decor. Lots of wood, a huge blackboard with the beer and menu options listed. Plenty of parking out back. Definitely a great addition to the dining options in northeast.

I live in the neighborhood and have been wanting to try this place for a long time. I had the miso ramen and it was just ok. Usually Im picking up the bowl to slurp up every last bit of broth, but this was too salty and spicy that it blew out my palate and i tasted nothing. I wish any restaurant knew how to cook vegetables well. If youre ordering a veggie item it means you typically like the taste of vegetables and they dont need to be hidden under a bunch of grease, salt, and spice as the brussel sprouts were. A well roasted and lightly seasoned plate of brussel sprouts would have been appreciated. They seemed under staffed and scattered. Had some drinking and painting event going on that seemed like a bad idea taking up tons of tables that could have been paying customers. Sad to say i wont be back.

Compared to any Asian fusion I have had in SF, this place lets you believe that you have found another gem here... You read the menu and get excited, and then your food comes out and its just not that flavorful. Most bibimbop bowls I have had are more flavorful, same review from 3 others I dined with. The wings were good! The crispy spring rolls totally fine, and the steamed buns - meh. I think the apps menu may be better, but not sure. I want this place to be amazing, but it really wasnt. I will try again; and I never know if Minnesotans are just too afraid of strong flavors and chefs accommodate the market, or if thats how they perceive the dishes being at their best. For me, not very exciting.

This guy is a joke, he wants to be David Chang without putting in the actual effort to be David Chang. Hes stolen ideas from everyone hes had working for him and even steals ideas from the people he interviews. Hes NEVER in his own restaurant yet takes credit for everything his employees work hard to accomplish. Anyone under the delusion that this guy knows anything about food needs to understand that he knows absolutely nothing. Anything good theyve had there was good only because of the people that ACTUALLY make the food. This guy is a fraud and no one in the world should waste their time let alone hard earned dollars at this foolish establishment.
