I really dont like this Ann Sather. Maybe its just this one place and the others are fine, but I have had too many shoddy experience with this place to ever give it another try. Where do I begin? The quality of food here is abysmal. Eggs Benedict came hot out of the kitchen with an entire half of an egg shell still crunched up all in the egg. Impossible to eat. On a separate occasion I ordered a "parfait" which I though was supposed to come a certain way that I think we all know and love, but instead I got 3 separate bowls. One with fruit, one with yogurt, one with dry, hard, oatmeal. I ordered a parfait and I got some "deconstructed" hassle that cost me about $10... on top of all this, the tables are incredibly too small and they pack people in there like sardines. Hardly enough room to eat on the table without thinking about brushing elbows with the stranger next to you. Even further, the glassware and tables are not ever clean. I have been sat at a dirty table both times I have been here and on one occasion I was served soapy water with chunks of food in it. Oh yeah, the cinnamon rolls taste like you guys got them at a drive thru. No wonder they come free with your $10 deconstructed parfait...

Ann Sathers is a great place to go for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. As many other people have mentioned, their cinnamon rolls are very good. They are the non-fried variety and are very fluffy and smothered in frosting. I often get requested to bring them in to work to share. Their dishes are all prepared fresh and are generous in size. Many come with 2 free sides, one of which can be 2 cinnamon rolls. Another very good side they have is the applesauce. Tart, sweet, and cinnamony, very tasty. My favorite breakfast item is the Bagel Breakfast special with a multigrain bagel. It is liek having one of their omelets on a bagel and you get two sides with it as well. One thing to be aware of if you come here for the first time is that there is often a line on the weekends. If you arrive closer to the opening or between the breakfast rush and brunch, you wont have to wait very long. If you get there after 10 am, expect a 10+ min wait at a minimum.

Went to the Granville location last weekend. I am a Chicago native now living in Colorado and havent been back to town in a few years. I was sad to see the Andersonville location closed. Our server was great, but otherwise I wouldnt go back. Even though the restaurant was 1/3 full, we had to wait to be seated until our full party was there. (I get that if its busy, but come on.) Also, the Swedish Pancakes were very thick and slightly gummy -- not the large, thin pancakes they used to serve, and certainly not Swedish pancakes. Eggs were undercooked. I was disappointed to introduce my young daughters to this version of Ann Sather. The other locations may be better but we certainly wont be back to this one.

Honestly I didnt expect much going in. But they had resh coffee and kept my cup full the entire time I was there; so off to a pretty good start. Then the venue surprised me. Pretty standard items for a breakfast place, but they also had sea food breakfast options which was a surprise. I had a personalised wrap from their "build your own" menu and it was phenomenal. As a side I had the cinnamon rolls which turns out are home made and everything was extremely fresh. If youre ever in the area, its the place to go for breakfast food. But you might walk right past it if youre not looking for the right design.

Ive been here many times and the service is typically good. This time my experience did not meet my previous experience. The waitress was a bit rude and mouthy. Had a smart ass response to my concerns. The fruit was days old. The strawberry had a dark and shriveled appearance and the kiwi was also shriveled from lack of moisture. It was clearly days old. When I brought this up, she said I should have told her in the beginning. I debated going to another place not far from here for breakfast, today I wish I had. Very dissappointed and dissatisfied. Ann Sather needs better trained staff.

Before my tennis lesson I needed to fill up, so we stopped in at the location on N Broadway and W Granville. This was my first time dining at Ann Sather, and I have to say it was tasty. I had the Smoked Norweigan Benedict with fruit, and sliced tomatoes. A personal preference, I would suggest to actually use smoked salmon, not grilled salmon. Otherwise the staff was attentive, considering we were one of the first customers to sit down. I didnt try the cinnamon rolls, but I am sure they are tasty. Enjoy!

Ann Sathers is definitely a must-try for any foodie or visitor to the Rogers Park area. Although its a bit overpriced for a college student like me, I dont mind splurging a little because I know Ill always get a delicious filling meal here with great service and a couple of cinnamon rolls to go. It gets very crowded on the weekends during brunch but they dont keep you waiting for long. If you want a quieter experience, pick a weekday!

Worst place I have ever been Denise is the worst waitress with lack of service and empathy. Food was awful the French toast was left moist and the "potato pancakes" are actually just terribly made and undercooked regular pancakes. Hash browns are actually house potatoes, and I ended up going to revival next door immediately because of how terrible it is. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone with tastebuds. It was horrendous.

Friday lunch time (not a busy day for them), there arent many people. A guy took my order. Then after 20mins waiting, he came back to me asking if I already got my order. WTF?! Cant you see? My table was still all clean and set. And you obviously youve my table when you were walking around pass by me. For some reason I think he missed to place my order in the kitchen. I was starving and need to head back to work.

Excellent breakfast food for a perfect Sunday brunch. This location as well as the others are packed for a reason, nonetheless they are worth the wait. I am a little disappointed that they do not serve the Monte Cristo at this location but everything else including the cinnamon rolls are as great as the original location. Completely recommend to anyone, even if youre from the city.

Good breakfasts, nothing special. Cinnamon rolls are served first (if thats your side dish) and they are good. The icing could use more flavor (vanilla) because it tastes too much like wet confectioners sugar. Not a cheap breakfast although portions are a good size. The fresh fruit is fresh with a nice variety. Service is fast and and friendly - all servers pitch in to help.

Love it!!! Ive been here like 5 times, the people there are really nice. I loved seating outside now that the summer is here, you get to watch the people go by while you enjoy a nice meal. Ive only eaten breakfast here, I liked the omelettes and the eggs and steak. But the thing I like the most is the cinnamon rolls, Ive taken a few to go.
