Note up front : Cash only establishment, but has an ATM on site. Also, is a cell phone dead zone (at least for me on AT&T) so make sure to get on WiFi or step outside if you need to coordinate with friends. This restaurant and bar is part of my favorite local chain of restaurants (the Mountain/Southern Sun chain). Since it is outside of Boulder, it doesnt follow the "Sun" naming convention and instead relies on the street name. Given how Vine Street Pub (in the same chain) is on Vine Street, Longs Peak Pub is on Longs Peak Avenue. Simple enough! Walk inside and the atmosphere is immediately warm. The interior is remarkably similar to the Southern Sun, with wooden long picnic style tables, an outdoor seating area in the summer, and gorgeous chalk art behind the bar. Staff is friendly and always willing to help. Tips are split between staff, so if someone walks by it is more than acceptable to ask them for help rather than waiting for your primary server to return. Beers, wines, and some mixed drinks are available. Beers selection is definitely the focus, with a large variety of beers brewed by them and a rotating selection of guest beers. I highly recommend going during Stout Month (February) of you like dark beers. The selection rotates frequently and there are many delicious stouts to taste. Food is likewise excellent. Burgers and Tims Blackened Quesadilla are my typical go to options. Fries are notable and excellently seasoned, and are worth getting even as a side. Nachos are piled high and worth getting to share with a group of friends. Overall a great addition to the Longmont restaurant community. Great for sitting up at the bar to grab a pint and chat with the other patrons, or sitting down at a table to enjoy lunch or dinner with friends and family.

I love the original Mountain Sun in Boulder, but things seem to be changing...especially with this new one. First, XXX is no longer the same. It used to be one of my favorites, but they dont make it the same anymore. They should change the name because this new version is barely drinkable compared to years gone by. Second, if you are at an empty restaurant having lunch with family, you should not have to get up from your table and go to the bar to order a beer. We were there the day before Mothers Day and it was almost totally empty, but the waitstaff was gone. I couldnt flag down anyone so I went to the bar myself. Third is their outdated "no credit card policy". I can understand not wanting to pay credit card charges, but Cmon people, this is 2015. Get with the times! If you have to adjust your prices, then do so. I really wish I could love this place, but if you want better beer and better food, take a short walk across the street to the Pumphouse.

Got a bacon burger. It was subpar. Over cooked and dry. And the bun it came on was super dry and falling apart. These famous fries were decent but way under seasoned. The tortilla chips tasted like they came outta a bag but were tasty. The wife said her mushroom boom boom sandwich and salad were just "Alright..." The main bummer for me was the wings. Soggy and tasted burnt...which is super weird. We will be back to try some of the other items but not in the near future. Maybe next time Ill try the craft beer, maybe itll help the taste of the food. Oh if I could give one piece of advice...add salt.

Has an amazing variety of excellent beer and wine. Staff are super friendly, seem to really enjoy their jobs, and provide great service. They also are very knowledgeable about their variety of beers and offer suggestions along with tasting samples. The food is delicious and varied. Any suggestions you might have are encouraged and shared with the cooking staff. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great, relaxed atmosphere with friends and family. Its a gem around the corner! Be aware that they do not take credit cards but have an on site ATM.

Meh. Service is super slow every time. Last time we went both of our burgers came out with wrong toppings and meat was well done even though we asked for medium. Our beers never even made it to the table and we had to ask that they take them off the bill when it came. To their credit they gave us our entire check for free even tho we didnt actually complain. Still would rather it just be done right the first time. And the whole cash only thing is just dumb. Get with the times guys.

Who couldnt love this place?! They literally have something for everybody. A big plus for me is the super friendly staff and the kid friendly environment. Ive met with my mom groups there as well and my stout hounds in February! This place, and the other locations, are on point. The food selection is amazing, the Date Night burger, the beers are to cry for and you can mix, like a Death Berry. I could go on for hours about this place but alas, you have to try it yourself!

I love this place. As a property-value-refugee from Boulder, the Longs Peak spun & Taphouse is a welcome institution. Its busy, kinda loud, particular about the way things are done and yet its a culvert welcoming and dynamic space. Lots of young families and single bearded men to boot. Everybody is enjoying the casual and friendly atmosphere. Some are enjoying their very good craft beer and satisfying pub menu. Cmon down!

What can I say, where do I begin, such a great atmosphere and the waiters there are extremely helpful, their brews and selection is great and so is there food, definitely a nice restaurant to go to if your in the longmont area, Id highly recommend this place to everyone I know. :) thanks guys for a great experience. Gave a 10$ tip on a 40$ order and helped make a young mans/waiters night complete. Definitely worth it. :)

We had a fantastic experience at Longs Peak Pub! Our waiter, Chris, was super friendly, fast and efficient, and had great suggestions (specials) for our meals. The service was speedy and the food tasty, fresh and delicious. Of course the beer was the usual awesome Mountain Sun brew. Man, I love Colorado Kind Ale. I would highly recommend trying this relatively new Longmont location a try, you wont be disappointed! Yum!

This is a family-friendly restaurant where the restaurant splits the tips and they only take cash. They have a large board game shelf and a lot of beer options (not a full bar), so it seems like a place to come and stay for a while. The food is good, nothing extraordinary, but still tasty. A good place for a large group because they have long, picnic style tables, but it would be wise to make a reservation.

Great spot to take the family. Have been many time ms with kids in tow and had a great time. The food is great and it has a amazing selection of beer on tap. Large outdoor patio or long community tables make it a lively place for a meal. The y only take cash or local check so be prepared. There is an ATM on the corner less then a bock away. Have the steak sandwich, nachos, and of course some beer.

The food is good, not exceptional but its a pub. They have lots of vegetarian options and they understand gluten free, and the quality is solid. Mostly I love it for the feel - the staff are funny, friendly, efficient and kind. The artwork is vibrant and interesting. The other patrons seem happy and lively. I always leave happier than when I came in, and thats worth a lot in my book.
