Although the food was yummy, our experience was a bit strange. There are signs posted in several places in the restaurant announcing: Private Property, Warning: Cameras in Use, Restroom is for Customers Only, No Outside Food or Drink in This Establishment- No Exceptions. One sign even went so far as to say that if you want to come in and just use the restroom, you will have to pay a $95 non-refundable deposit to cover the cost of the plumber to unclog the toilet- No Exceptions! It just rings of paranoia. Ironically, the restroom had a bit of graffiti on the back of the door. A young mother with a young child (he looked like he was potty training age) came in and asked to use the restroom. She was told that the restroom was for customers only. The young mother said she would buy a water- she was then told that it was for dine in customers only. It just seemed ridiculous! When I requested extra dressing for my large salad, I was told that it would cost $0.87 after tax. Although I was startled, I started to get the change from my purse. The waitress then seemed to do a bit of mental calculation and reasoned that since we were spending over $40 on dinner she would "comp" us the salad dressing. My 9 year old daughters loved the pizza! The signage was just a little intrusive and not welcoming- I felt like I was being watched to make sure I did not violate a policy.

This place... is BASICALLY Parrys, but the Vallejo location. From what ive heard, the chef here was also chef at the American Canyon location. So the food? AWESOME. I love this place! The food here is just excellent. No complaints whatsoever. Everything on the menu is just... awesome! This is probabaly due to the fact that they use authentic ingredients at here. No sir, this is no Dominos (which seems to have disappeared from Vallejo, mysteriously) or Pizza Hut... this is how pizza should be. The pastas are extremely tasty, and trust me, youll be left wanting more. Sandwiches, yikes, huge! You HAVE to try the meatball. Once you do, youll never go back to that cruddy Subway excuse for a meatball sub. Oh, and lets not forget about the Cannolis, Calzones, and Strombolis. Just absolutely authentic. An lets say... you have a big group coming over for the big game (be it football or the latest Dungeons & Dragons). You need to feed a bunch of people, and pizza is what you desire. What do to. Order the BIG GUN a day in advance. The big gun is a 32" pizza. Thats all I pretty much need to say. You do the math. All in all, this place is an awesome pizza establishment! If youre on that deathly hungry status, hit up Big Italian!

My wife and I went here tonight. As we were ordering our food the guy behind the counter (Alessandro) was rude and condescending to my wife while she was ordering, speaking to her like she was a child. She ordered the eggplant Parmesan with spaghetti. We paid in full before we got our food. When we got our food the eggplant was soggy drowning in sauce, the spaghetti was under cooked and still hard in the middle, the vegetables were under cooked in the soup and the spaghetti was brought out 2 minutes after the soup making you decide which one you would rather eat cold. When we brought it to their attention he ate off my wifes plate said that is how they make their food and only gave excuse after excuse for why everything was under cooked so we left hungry after that awful meal. We never asked for a discount at all which we should have since the prices have increased drastically over the years and the menu options have been cut in half. After being a customer here for years I feel like I will never dine here again. So customer beware, only eat here if you want terrible food and worse customer service.

This was our first time here and when I saw the good reviews I wanted to try it. So glad I did! Not the best location but worth going. Its not quite a regular restaurant as far as sitting down with a waitress taking your order. You place your order at the counter, pay and then sit down. The owner (I think) brought everything to our table. Service was quick! He is very personable and friendly. Food was delish and generous, and hot out of the oven. Salad was fresh and bread was warm served with oil and garlic. Prices are good! We will definately be back!

This is one of the best local eats places I have ever been to. My friends and I first walked in and were greeted by the owner(?) and he is so friendly and makes you feel as if you were at home. The portions are extremely large and well worth the money. Everything is fresh and handmade. Quite possibly the best piece of pizza Ive ever had. The canoli for dessert was to die for as well. All in all fantastic food and service and I will be sure to return any time I visit Vallejo again.

Ive been going to Evelyns in Fairfield for a while now so when I heard they had a partner here in Vallejo I was excited. I would say that the food was just as good as Evelyns. And one slice really filled me up! The place is much more spacious but lacks the clutter that gives Evelyns its cozy italian atmosphere. It feels more like an americanized Italian diner than a pizzeria. The servers are just as nice and pretty fast. I got my slice in less than five minutes.

This is by far the best pizza place i have ever eaten at in California. Everytime i find myself in Vallejo i am definitely going to make a stop at Big Italian. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the old man and we loved his style and his company and great ownership the entire time. Me and my friends were dumbfounded by how ridiculously amazing the food and service was. 10/10

The newer Vallejo hole-in-the-wall restaurant, like American Canyons Parrys, are offshoots of Evelyns in Fairfield, the previous owners of New York Pizza Kitchen. From my experience, the pizzas in Vallejo have a slight different flavor and toppings are very fresh.. These are one of the best pizzas I have ever had.. PERIOD. It is nice to have them so close to home.

Authentic Napolitano-style pizza. A true gem. The owner works the front of house, which afforded me an opportunity to talk with him while I waited for my order. Hes been in Vallejo for 26 years and loves his city. So... truly delicious, authentic pizza AND the owner lives locally and loves it??? THIS is the type of place I have no problem giving my money to!

The cheese slice I got was huge! Very tasty. The service was fast although business was a little slow. But the gentleman was very nice and gave great customer service. My only complaint .... No AC and it was warm. They did have big fans going so I appreciate the effort.

I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs & salad for two, wasnt expecting to receive such a large amount of food. Everything was fresh, hot & deliciously tasteful. I will be back to try the other offerings that they serve. Job well done and keep up the good work
