We were a constant customer of Shiraz, not because of the food or service. Their service is very poor, they do not offer you good service at all. Food is ok is not great for the price you pay. But, we are frequently visitor because our little girl loves kabob. They are several reasons: 1- Food is always late. 2- The attendants and waiters are not fast in pick up the food. 3- To much rice not enough meat and no vegetables. 4- To many customers at the same time, no enough people to handle all the tables. Mean delay on food and payment. 5- Most of the time the food is cold and grease. 6- In general they are very poor in everything. The final complain became when making arrangements for parties. Like ordering a cake, they change the prices at the last minute and charge more for small portions. This happen to me last week when ordering a cake for my little one BP. The arrangement was $35 for half sheet. My surprise was that they did not make the half sheet, they did a 1/4 of a sheet and charge $50. When complain, they reason given was the strawberries were expensive. The point was given, but I got insulted by the waiter who is the manager’s daughter. Finally, I had decided not to come back to Shiraz. PS: My personal recommendation, please do not try and order the cake from this place, it can be a nightmare.

We are always up north visiting my parents in San Ramon, which causes us to be out here every other weekend. One of our favorite places to always stop at for lunch is Shiraz. Not only is the service here top notch, but it feels as if your walking into a familys members home - the staff is always attentive and welcoming. My all time recommendation is the Koobideh Kebab. The meat literally melts in your mouth (Im drooling thinking about it!). I have never had fresher Koobideh then the one served here. My husband loves the Chicken Kebab as well, which I have also enjoyed. But I must say, the Koobideh will always have first place in my book. Another favorite dish of ours is their Mast-o-Khiyar. We always start off with a dish of this and hummus. I love to dip my pita into the Mast-o-Khiyar then scoop up some rice- seriously delicious! It goes with every dish, which is great since we all order a different type of meat. I look forward to visiting here every month. Hands down, this is the best authentic Persian food out there. This will always be our first choice when deciding what to get for lunch.

It was the first time my friend and I went there and our food was terrible. We went at around 4:00 PM and they gave us the dinner menu with more expensive prices; no other customers were there, only us. I ordered the Koubideh Kabob and the meat smelled and it was terrible. The kabob was not freshly made and it was not even hot when they brought it to my table. The plate had little rice and I was surprised that for the price they charge why they serve so little. The service was also very bad. I needed water and no one came to my table so I had to walk up and pour water for myself from a jar that the waiter had left at the front. Expensive and terrible food. If someone had written a review and I knew, I would have never gone there.

This place is amazing and a must go to restaurant. Ive been here a couple of times before when I still ate chicken and beef, but today I wanted to try and see if they served salmon kebab since Im a pescatarian now--and they did! It was so good. The fish was cooked perfectly and had 2 slices of juicy lemons on the side as well. There was already so much flavor in the fish but I always love adding lemon in my fish. The water is also really delightful. They added oranges and lemons in the water before pouring them in our glass cup so we could have a nice taste instead of actually squeezing lemon into my water. Im so happy, and the waitress was so nice too. I will be coming back more often now that I know that there is salmon kebab!

Having the opportunity to travel for work, I crossed the paths of this gem of a restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm & welcoming staff, the atmosphere was inviting and the chatter among patrons boisterous and happy. I decided on the Chicken Soltani, and the amazing barley soup which is served daily, as a starter. Yogurt dip ( masto-Khiyar) was a treat in itself. I left with a satisfied pallet, a full belly and an extra bowl of Barley Soup for later in the evening. Thank you for the wonderful experience. Recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next trip!

Its hard to find a good Persian restaurant so I was excited to give this a try after a good friend said it was her favorite spot. I ordered the ground beef kebob and basmati rice with real saffron. It was done absolutely perfectly. For dessert I had saffron pistachio ice cream that they actually make there locally. I love pistachio ice cream and the saffron added such a nice touch. Its something I would definitely come back for again and again. The service was great and I liked the ambiance. I foresee many future meals at this gem!

Service was ZERO Order was not taken properly Order was wrong Lamb chops were horrible Chicken and Beef Kabobs were dry and not fresh I would not recommend this place to anyone... Waste of time and Money. Frankly i dont care about the cost and ambiance if the taste is worth it but in this case taste was worst... I have had better and on top of that the service was horrible, i had to ask them to take the order, ask them to correct the order, serving was horrible, no concept of customer service.

Good service but most importantly AWESOME food!! I absolutely love the taste of persian food. The Chicken kabob is citrus-ey and delicious (The Koobideh is great too) and i love how they serve the crunchy crust at the bottom of the rice cooker on top of the rice with a sprinkle of saffron. The chocolate cake they serve for dessert is sweet, rich and amazing (and im not really a chocolate fan). Ive been here 4 times and havent once been disappointed :)

Me and my friends go there to eat Persian food.Persian food is a little different than Afghan food. Mariam always greets us with a smile .She reminds me of the Iranian hospitality. There kabobs are never dry .The meat is juicy and tender. Quantity is very good. The environment is friendly and a little Iranian touch that reminds me of Persian music ,poetry and art.The water is served with basil, lemon and mint.I finish my meal with awarm qahva (tea) .
