Open daily from 6am-2pm! When you first take a look at this strip of block, you feel like youre taken into a small town that has blocks and blocks of cute little boutique, think Solvang. Unfortunately, there is only one block of this adorable place and Egg Plantation has the majority of it! All breakfast is less than $10, but what you end up spending your money on is their delicious Bloody Mary. As you read from previous reviews from other yelpers are their Bloody, Bloody Mary!!! A friend of mine wasnt a Bloody Mary Girl before Egg Plantation, but this place has turn her around! So definitely try it or share it if youre a little unsure. They have two types, regular or spicy. The spicy one is not too spicy, so get it of youre not scared of a little heat!!! The Angelitas is their Peanut Butter French Toast that was a hit at our table! The dish basically has four slices of French toast and theyll have two slices jammed with peanut butter goo in the middle, yum! I had the Leah, which was three scrambled egg whites sautéed onions, garlic, tomatoes, black olives, spinach, basil, and feta. It comes with slices of avocado and toast on the side. I wasnt very impressed by the dish because it lacked flavor, did they forget the salt? The dish wasnt balanced as well, the ingredients felt bunched up in the mix. I wished the spread out the ingredients a little bit more when they laid it out on the pan. So, two star for that dish. The Crab Benedict was awesome! They gave a generous amount of crab cake in the middle and the spinach in between made the texture oh so good! The service, the price, the atmosphere, the food is awesome here! If you wanna take a date here, go! If you wanna catch up with girlfriends, go! And if you want to get wasted with Bloody Mary, go! So go, go, go and ENJOY!

08/26/17...Denver Omelet, Everything Bagel, side of fruit. (I got a plain bagel). The wait staff, like on previous visits, was superior to eateries in LA County. Atmosphere welcoming and cozy with three different seating areas. Denver Omelet too big to eat and Im a big eater. It was over-flowing with traditional yummy ingredients. If it could be improved, Id suggest the green peppers be sauteed longer to pair up with mid-caramelized onions. I appreciated that the cream cheese was room temp, so it was both easy to spread and much more flavorful. Fruit was as expected, though the watermelon may have been a day or two past "best" (or the fridge was just too cold the night before). This is a SCV institution and its easy to see why. I know Ill return again as will the elderly couple, the couple in their early 20s the table of 30-something biker-slash-all-night-revelers enjoying bottomless Sunday morning champagne.

Sorry to rain on everybodys parade, but here goes.. Yea, theres often a line outside which means that the place is popular amongst those who like to eat out Saturday and Sunday mornings. The food is OK, but how hard is it to make an omelette? How hard is it to ruin an omelette? Heres how to have a bad one. Just order the omelette with clams. I tried it and its the first time I couldnt finish an omelette in a restaurant. I didnt expect fresh shelled clams, but they tasted way too salty and just plain........old. Not good for any seafood. As to the service, its probably a bit better than Dennys, but your bill for the meal will reflect that. As to the clientele, well, its a bit too "churchy" and "republican" for my comfort. The coffee was so-so. Brewed a little weak for my taste. Anybody who claims "best omelette ever" simply doesnt get out much, or hasnt learned how to make an omelette at home. That is all.

My wife wanted to go here after reading all the good reviews. The first time was over an hour wait, the second time was 30 minutes . I orders the Denver omelet with hash browns, vanilla coffee and orange juice. My wife ordered filet (steak) eggs Benedict. The food tasted bland as If they used not even salt and pepper. Dennys tasted a lot better. I didnt like the atmosphere at all, we were near the entrance and many of people were standing three feet from my table looking down on me trying to eat my breakfast while there yelling at the top of their lungs like in a loud disco. Some people like this but I like to enjoy a quiet breakfast. Maybe at one time this was a nice quiet mom and pop breakfast place but those days are gone. I can afford to eat any place I want, but $42 for two people and this environment is not worth it to me.

I have very mixed feelings about this place. The food is amazing, dont get me wrong, but the wait is so ridiculously long that its such a pain to go there. Even having a reservation doesnt guarantee that you can plan your day accordingly because they dont seem to honor the time frame for which youve made your reservation. (We once didnt get seated and our orders taken for a full HOUR after our supposed reservation time. How is that even possible?) Bottom line... Dont go here with a set time in mind for when youd like to eat and/or when youd like to leave because youll be doing a lot of sitting around and waiting here.

This was the first time that my son and I had heard of this place, and we were prepared to wait a while to be seated (from having read the other reviews). It was about 30 minutes, and *definitely* worth the wait. Great omelets, burgers, soups, and a large selection of hot sauces. Only negatives: the soup took a while to arrive (after the other food), and the fact that they are only open for breakfast/lunch. Overall rating: 96/100.

Really liked the character of the restaurant. Very homey. There is a very nice outdoor patio area as well as indoor seating. We came on a Monday morning and it was packed! Might of been because it was during the holidays. We were seated fairly quickly. The service was excellent. Very friendly atmosphere. The omelets are two meals worth. There is a smaller option available. Coffee was great as well. We will definitely be back!

Beware!!!! I had breakfast here for the first time this past Friday after many recommendations from friends. Staff is friendly and nice environment BUT i got FOOD POISONING throwing up all weekend and my birthday weekend to top it off. If they have someone sick on staff/cooks they should not be allowed to work. I wasn not the only one 2 other ppl went this weekend and also got FOOD POISONING.

So many omelettes and eggs. Anything you can think of for a breakfast omelette they can make it. I like the various rooms inside and spaces out. There are so many choices my wife and I secretly ordered for each other to see what we would get for one another and to see how well we knew each others tastes. I really like the water mist for the outside areas on hot mornings.

Awesome food, tons of options in the menu, especially for omelets. Only disappointment was the hollandaise sauce, for a place that specializes in eggs I would have thought they could make the hollandaise via the double broiler method, but they use the lazier blender method instead. Still tastes good, but not what it could be. Overall Im very happy with their restaurant.
