I always love discovering new places. Especially pubs. Ive been to alot, so I have a pretty high standard. First: this is a self-proclaimed gastropub. I am not 100% sure what food qualifies them to be a novelty. Ive had the fish n chips. Yummy. Ive had their blue cheese burger. Super yummy. Ive seen their fish tacos....meh. Prices are very reasonable, but I am not seeing a signature dish. Their beer list is decent, they actually serve Boddingtons and Old Speckled Hen, which is pretty impressive. These are great draft beers. The service for me is conflicting. They are very nice yet they are slow as molasses. A lot of business people come in for lunch, so you should time yourself to an hour. It takes too long to get your check, your refill, your order in... This business has a lot of promise but their staff needs to step up and create that awesome experience. They also need to make good on their gastropub promise. The way I see it, its just a nice pub.

A nice lookin place - perhaps a wee bit plain (a pub without a dart board??) - in a great location. The fish n chips was outstanding. My gripe was that we ordered two beers, one a Hefeweizen (that was supposed to have overtones of cloves) and next, a clear craft brew with citrus notes. It was obvious that the beer kegs or taps were switched or incorrectly hooked up, as they were not as advertised. (I had never seen a clear "Hefeweizen" that tasted like oranges before.) When we called this to the bartenders attention he looked at us like we were kooks, but said he would check on it, but we never saw him do so. For a pub specializing in exotic, craft microbrews, one would think that making sure of correct keg-to-tap would be minimally important, wouldnt one? Well give London another shot, though, and do wish it well. Welcome to Monrovia!

We have been to many of the bars and restaurants on Myrtle Ave and unfortunately London is one of our least favorites, both of the times that we visited, we had hoped to order a certain ale that they had on tap, the waitress took our order and came back to inform us that they had just ran out of the two that we had ordered, we were fine with that and made a second choice. My beer was brought a few minutes later but she informed my fiancé that they no longer had the second one he ordered. He ended up just trying a random choice and was not pleased. We wont be visiting London for a while, if at all.

Good food...ok service....guess what, we spent about 15 minutes waiting for a table when 3/4 of the restaurant was empty....we spent over $100 for two guests and the owner did not even stop by the table for a "hello!?" I gave thanks and praise to the owners and the restaurant to the waiter and still no response from the staff. I scanned the place all night and the owner, both husband and wife stopped by all tables around us...hmmmm...maybe for the "older crowd" although a fireman and nurse in the area arent important enough i guess.....maybe not the place for MINORITIES!

Good food and drinks...But heres the thing. The menu they post on their website looks phenomenal...And we drove there expecting to have a menu somewhat similar...way off... We asked the server if perhaps there was another bar menu and she explained how outdated the online menu was. Which can often be expected except, the menu they currently have doesnt light a candle to the menu posted. Kinda felt like its probably not being updated for a reason. The online menu is defiantly worth the drive. The menu in house was totally not.

Bar was empty, had to wait 15 minutes before the waitress came over because she was too busy gossiping with the bartender. When she finally came she acted as if she was doing me a favor! They brought me the wrong beer. If I ask for a dark beer and the beer that comes is light color I know they did something wrong. Our food was cold. As the owner was leaving, I ask to speak to him to let him know of my experience he didnt care and walked out an stood in front of the bar for 15 min. then came back in and walked to the back.

Great place to relax & drink a few beers in downtown Monrovia. Friendly servers & bartenders. Upscale pub fare -- definitely better than your average bar food. Best selection of microbrews in town ... Jim (the owner) is discerning with what he puts on tap. Best scotch selection around. Solid and entertaining group of regulars, happy hour every day of the week, and activities pretty much every night. If youre looking for a spot in Monrovia, this place is hard to beat.

Been going there for their fish for about 5 years. Last night the waitress told us that they had changed their menu......Well....They changed the food also. The portion and what was served with it had shrunk! I used to travel over 2 communities to get there. I will not be going again. The waitress was pleasant and the service was good. I will miss this place. I guess they dont make enough off the booze to have good food anymore. BYE OLD FRIEND!

I ordered fish and chips and it was factory prepared fish. Soggy and tasteless. Taste like frozen dinner from a box. The beer was okay. I cant remember ever writing a negative thing about a place. But this site asked me because of location is next door to Merengue, where I ate two nights ago..now thats a religious experience! R U kidding? Cuban Potato Balls, Empanadas and a cold beer after Christmas Shopping!!! Awesummmm!!

I am a repeat customer, I think that alone lets you know what I think of this place; The service has always been great and the food is very tasty. For more insight, Tuesday nights happy hour is really something if youre a taco lover. They have numerous meats to choose from and theyre only a buck apiece. The drink special is margaritas. So if youre feeling like tacos and margaritas try this place on Tuesday nights.

Good food but added a glass of wine on our bill. When we told the waitress she argued about it. We asked to see the manager. She too had a very negative attitude but reluctantly took it off. With food and 5 drinks it came to about 100 dollars so I would have tiped 20% but gave no tip. We have lived in monrovia for 60 years and have never seen such an unprofessional attitude. W

I was at the opening and as a former resturanteur I can tell you they weathered the storm well. It is one of the hardest nights of your life and the pace is fast. I met the owners Monday night and they were very personable. Hard to rate a place on its first night. They will do well. The food was very good and the servers are very friendly. Whats not to like.

Disappointed that the online menu wasnt the same as when we got there. We picked this place over another based on the appetizer menu we saw online . When we got there and asked about the menu, they knew that it hadnt been updated online in a long time. Food and drinks were good, but there are definitely better options.
