We have been there multiple times with friends and family and ordered on few occasions for corporate and private events.Best place to dine-in or order any catering services from them and definitely your expectations will never go wrong Excellent Food , very different and tasty authentic South Indian food from what we get in other restaurants. Service was obsolutely great, even on busy days they are well trained staff to handle the crowd. Hardly any waiting time unless until it is fully packed but you will find a spot very soon. Special attraction is Buffet serve to your tables and making your seated comfortable ...so that you enjoy your meal without obstruction !! They changed the regular Buffet style and set a new standard for better. Welcome drink is relishing and calms you down and get your apetite ready . First in my list for sure is Haleem..my goodness it is literally melting in my mouth...completely made with good quality ingredients and need less to appreciate the effort put in by chefs and also management for contributing to its continuation. Unlimited varieties and multiple servings of veg and non veg staters. My special mention would be the sea food starters like prawns and fish items...very appealing and tasty and fine crafted look. So is kababs be it chicken or Goat. I didnt get a chance to try the veg starters most of the time as I am already filled up but defnitely they should be good too..!! Goat Biryani is one of my other favourites too. They blend the spices to perfection for a very delicious outcome. Chicken biriyani is also a must try dish. Naans are very soft and go well with any of the gravy curries like Chicken /Goat or Paneer/Mutter combination. Deserts will really give you satiety and pleasant feeling to end of the meal. My special mention here is Kaddu ka Kheer which will be like unstoppable when you are full already. We can defnitely try other options like Badusha and Rice Kheer which are again tasty. Paan would be a special attraction/addition if they can add it to their menu... just my feeling..!!! Defnitely they deserve a 5star .. a special stand out from rest of the cuisines in Quality and service .. Good luck team..!!

Haleem: is good biryani: disappointed us. Not up to the mark. Service: disgusting, we were in with friends for dining by 9.35 pm which is 25 minutes prior the closing time 10 pm and they denied serving us saying they are closed for the day. They compromised us for a Togo order. Then suddenly a guy walks in with a white women and they allowed them for dining. God seriously..!!! I dont know what to call this. Before we digest this, they allowed another bunch of people for dinning. feeling Annoyed, when my friend enquired at reception they said they are their friends, so what???? If they can serve them why cant us??? Then suddenly after 15 minutes of waiting for our Togo order another surprise, they said they are out of goat biryani. Wait, it was after we waited patiently for 15 minutes they said this to us. WTF....!!!! This pissed us off more now. After an argument they gave us the goat biryani. God knows from where they got that. Seems like they reserved that too for their friends. If its for them why to run a business??? Theres no manager or supervisor there. Its like bunch of ppl running this restaurant in a partnership without any basic common sense and knowledge of handling. Everyone was behaving like a manager there. DEAR PISTA HOUSE, please improve your service qualities atleast for the name sake.

Though the biryani flavor was wonderful. The service needs a lot of improvement. However it is very very spicy, I need to come home and drink loads of yogurt to offset it. If you have kids, better find a different place. What could have done differently? 1. Weekends only have buffet, that too, "to the table buffet". The front desk should inform this atleast while seating. Currently, even the online menu do not mention this clearly 2. "To the table buffet" is a nice option. But need to have enough servers, to address the tables 3. Even kids of 3 years old are considered a full buffet, consumers and charged $16. This is just outrageous!! Altogether this place just looks like beta test for a restaurant for me, now. Just hold on until they improvise

I had some great and some terrible experiences here. The first few times I was here, the Biryani was very authentic and fresh. The last few times, the Biryani was terrible and tasted like curry mixed in some rice. They were open until 4AM on the weekend during Ramzan season but they ran out of food by 1 or 2 AM. We drove all the way to the restaurant just get turned down as they ran out of food. This happened twice. Their Haleem was consistently good but cant say the same for their Biryani. I wish I could have given it 3 or 4 stars but their food has been terribly inconsistent and service is non existent.

What can I say that everybody doesnt already know? The weekend lunch is really good, where they serve all courses right to your table. BUt lets talk about why we are really here, wont we? Yup, talking about Haleem. I have been trying to get the same taste of Haleem that I used to get back home during Ramadan, and every restaurant was a disaapointment. Not Pista House. It is the closest taste to the authentic Haleem. I am pretty sure they dont cook it the right way, and probably take shortcuts, but I am fine. Solid 4, just for the Haleem!

This is a most frustrated buffet I never had before , food was ok but service was super super super slow , I asked one of the waiter to serve mutton biryani , someone came with cold very cold mutton biryani , I asked him again to heat it and bring it back hot, they took 15 minutes to serve that meanwhile I asked them 4 times for the same dumb mutton biryani, mutton biryani was horrible, I never had such uncooked mutton biryani in my life so far, owners thought that this way food is not getting wasted and I feel that this buffet is waste

Recent visit to this restaurant for the lunch buffet was a bad experience. Quality of the food has dropped compared to what it was an year ago. After they closed their branch in sunnyvale, decided to go to milpitas. Bad service. Nobody cares to seat you. Atleast 10 waiters kept passing me and none of them have started serving food to me until I yelled at them. hara bara kababs were cold. manchuria was almost about to spoil. Curries and naan were average. stones in biryani rice. Attached picture Dessert mysore pak was ok.

Best haleem Ive had in USA. Its almost as good as in Hyderabad, India. The lunch buffet is usually very tasty, but is not very consistent with the taste. It mainly has Hyderbadi cuisine based dishes which I love, but Ive also seen people who do not appreciate the same taste as much. If you have your expectations set properly, it is a must try place for lunch buffet. What makes it different from other Indian lunch buffets is that you will be served all the dishes from the pan right in to your plate by the servers.

The charm and goodness of this place is all gone I feel . Had gone with a couple of families there over the weekend for the lunch buffet and was very very disappointed . The folks who serve do not care what they get and how they get . Quality had dipped considerably . They didnt even serve me the dessert mentioned on the menu . The overpriced 17$ per person was okay because of the way they used to make you feel . Now that is gone as well . Not going to this place again and waste the money .
