In A Nutshell: -Wow, Verge Restaurant & Lounge located inside the Toll House Hotel is Los Gatos is quite a find! -The open layout combined w/ the friendly staff make the setting especially comfortable. -We celebrated my mothers birthday, which I recommend you do here since it has plenty of seating & delicious food. -I think we ordered nearly everything on the menu - keep in mind there were only 5 of us. -Drinks started off w/ hot tea, Tequila Clase Azul, The Purple Lady & Grapefruit Basil. -The Beer & Bacon Flight was freaking awesome, each piece of bacon (turkey, pork beef & chocolate-covered) matched up perfectly w/ the paired beer - gonna come back again just for that alone. -The Wild Mushroom Cobbler was served a small red pot, it consisted of large slices of mushrooms in goat cheese, parmesan & cream w/ fresh biscuit. -The Crispy Brussels Sprouts was another dish that I will come for again. Its perfectly crispy & topped w/ deviled eggs that just can not go to waste! SO SO GOOD. -The Onion Dip has a clever presentation, which uses the outer layer of onion as a bowl & holds truffle oil, parmesan, fresh dill & caviar + served w/ house-made potato chips. -The Octopus & Pork Belly is yet another dish I will come back again for. The large pieces of octopus were perfectly cooked - nice & chewy & you just cant go wrong w/ big pieces of pork belly. -The Ahi Tuna Tartare & Pork Egg Rolls were good, not sure Id order those again, but definitely worth a try. -The Butternut Squash soup was served by having it poured into a flat bowl, just wish it stayed hotter longer. -The two salads: Mizuna & Frisee Salad and the Roasted Beet Salad were both good, better than average. -The Sea Bass was dish worth ordering and eating every day if you could. Its cooked to perfection here. -The Scallops were another dish worth eating daily & I really liked the deep-fried cauliflower. -The Hanger Steak was a little too red & meaty for me, so I probably wouldnt order it again. -Since it was my moms birthday, they brought out a complimentary piece of cheesecake, which we ate too fast before I could food porn it (sorry guys!). Overall, the service is great (never once had to call for anyone, they just kept coming back refilling water, etc...). The prices are also very good. Im on the "verge" of being a regular customer!

Upscale food and drink with an attitude that falls off the bottom of the radar. Remove it from your list of places to patronize unless you enjoy an evening of down-lifting experiences. Take a back-brace to reduce the injury from the ergonimocally dangerous bar stools. What an appalling start of a week.

Nice ambiance but I cant vouch for the food since most of it doesnt fit within my dietary restrictions. Good drinks although quite pricey. Also they are very limited on how they can split the check for large groups so be sure to ask ahead of time.

We had a fantastic time there. First, the service was implacable- really attentive, friendly and super fast. Most importantly, the food is great! All of the dishes we ordered were tasty, innovative and with a great combination of flavors.

They have a nice assortment of interesting entrees and appetizers. I like that the bread you get is a popover. The mushroom lasagna is excellent (and not really a lasagna at all).

Nice vibe, great staff specially the manager, and the food was fab. I would def. try the scallops and the passion fruit cocktail is great if u like a light sweet drink!
