This is def a local go to for delicious ice cream with unique flavor options. I have been going here for years and love bringing my kids when I can. Not the best seating outside for little kids as the area is always very very busy with cars but nice that there is seating at all. My gripe this visit was with the lack of understanding by the associate who helped us. I specifically asked about Nuts and to make sure what we ordered contained no nuts since my son is allergic but was dying for a brownie sundae. I should have avoided it but figured I would ask. He said no it didnt contain nuts. Sure enough, 10 mins after eating it my son got the tingling in his tongue and lips and hot really nervous. Nothing happened but it was more the scare. I should have just avoided the brownie but employees MUST KNOW WHATS IN THE FOOD!!! Thats all!

I honestly think this is the best ice cream I have ever tasted. They have many wonderful homemade tropical flavors and your old standbys as well! It makes it very hard to choose but they are very happy to give you tastes so you can make up your mind easier. Friendly service and very large portions make this even better! A scoop in a bowl there is at least double what the size is anywhere else, which is good because one scoop starts out at $4.69, but each additional scoop is just about $1.00 more. Plenty of free parking and late hours make it easy to go there.

Very welcoming atmosphere. There were so many unique flavors, some of I had never heard of e.g. Soursop, it was difficult to decide. I went with Guava, so delicious! I tasted Mango and Lychee, and both were awesome! We have been back several times and our experience has been consistently great. Note that the store has moved to fall hours and may close an hour earlier than the website shows.

Nice little ice cream shop. Delicious and unusual flavors, this place has fantastic ice cream. One of my favorite flavors of ice cream is ginger and thats just one of the flavors you wont find elsewhere. Another one I found that was fun on one of my visits was lucuma. They also have more common flavors but so far I havent had any ice cream that I didnt enjoy.

York Castle offers well done ice cream in a variety of unique flavors, and is well worth a visit when the sweet tooth calls. There are a lot of tropical fruit flavors of course - mamey sapote, soursop, and lucuma to name a few. My personal faves are the more aromatic ginger and rum raisin, as well as the boring-sounding but richly textured Grape nut.

What an adorable little ice cream shop. If this is your first time here, get the castle. Sample a few flavors, but please dont hold up the line. Hungry customers will be eyeballing you from behind. All the flavors are great. Try a few flavors you wouldnt ordinarily pick and be prepared to be pleasantly surprised.

Youre in for a fantastic treat when you go for ice cream here. So glad we stumbled across it after a visit to Rock Creek Park; now its a regular stop for us. The banana splits are the best Ive had. Ice cream is made in house, and the dark chocolate sauce is supremely decadent! Take the kids . . . you wont be sorry!

Amazing ice cream and great friendly service. They offer Unique and homemade flavors, and are patient enough to answer questions and let you try flavors although I dont think you can make a bad choice here. I got the Caribbean cherry and Swiss chocolate, they mix really well together.

This is by far one of the best ice cream shops I’ve been to. Amazing ice cream and great service from these guys. Passed by this place one hot afternoon with my kids and they really loved it. This place is definitely our new spot for awesome ice cream.

This is a very small Ice cream spot across from Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland. It has OK Ice Cream Cones but not Great. It is a very short walk from 2 Caribbean Restaurants (Cuban Corner & Island Pride) which is the only "pull" for me.

I love the homemade ice cream served here. (Lychee is my favorite) Its all hand made in the back and the owner originates from somewhere where making this stuff is their speciality. Definitely worth the prices.

Local place thats been open forever. Used to be the local favorite "Giffords" which closed in the 80s, and is staffed by the same people. The "Island Flavors" are hard to beat.
