二回目の訪問でチップが前回少なかったから15パーセントお願いしますと半強制的にチップをせがまれました。店は忙しく大したサービスは受けていません。前回の訪問を覚えられてたのもいやらしいですが、アメリカ人と日本人でいって女性の日本語がわかるわたしに狙ってくるあたり最低だと思いました。会計後、アメリカ人の友達がその従業員に言い返してくれましたが、お客にチップをせびるのは違法です。このお店には気をつけてください。

Was taken here by a friend while visiting LA on business. You basically have to be taken here because theres no way you would find it on your own. The food is simply fabulous -authentic, fresh ingredients, properly cooked, delicious. There were five of us and we ordered about 15 dishes to try. None disappointed. The hamachi kana (sp?) or yellowtail jowl, excellent. So is the black cod. The kimchee rice is a pleasant and tasty surprise, coming from a Japanese kitchen. There is parking behind the restaurant. Youll think you are in the wrong lot, but the small for to the left of the barbershop is the correct one. Consider yourself taken there. :-)

You can order small plates izakaya style or get one of the huge combo plates that seem to be popular for local families and couples. Modest with a real So. Cal / Gardena neighborhood feel, service is quick and friendly with a menu filled with many types of "teishoku" that include croquettes and tempura and grilled steaks covered in a teriyaki sauce. Did I mention how huge the portions are? If youve got a hunger, order the set menu. :) Its a good mix of dishes and styles for hungry people looking for accessible So. Cal Japanese food in a casual affordable setting.

This restaurant is owned by the same people who run Gardena Bowl’s restaurant, except the food is better. No matter when I come, this place is always packed (probably because the store is so tiny). The food is awesome and plated beautifully. I recommended everything on the menu! The happy hour is a great deal and you can’t get any better than $1 ice cold beers! I love their hot tea and have been searching for it in stores ever since.

If you want to eat an authentic Japanese food that costs for average people. this is it. the place is considered as Dinner "Shokudo"in Japanese. As a Japanese, this restaurant reminds me of Tokyos Shokudo in Oota-ku. Only the difference is the quantity, You get twice as much food as Tokyos restaurant. I would strongly recommend this an Old-fashioned Japanese dinner.

Love Azumas! They have huge plates, seriously huge. Theres not a ton of seating, so if you go at peak dinner hours there might be a wait. After 9pm they have great happy hour. Cheap Japanese beer by the pitcher, great Japanese appetizers like edamame. One of the best Japanese restaurants in the area for a great price and you get giant portions!

This is my one of my favorite places to go late at night. I love the traditional Japanese dishes they serve. I havent tried everything on the menu yet, but this places hasnt let me down. I recommend the combo plates. Portions are large enough to share and prices are good.

Theres is a lot of choices here. It offers sushi, yakitori, ramen, cutlet, pretty much everything thats typical for Japanese food. Last time I came, the cutlet was a little dry but portions was pretty decent though.
