Farestart is a wonderful organization that does real good for the community as it employs young adults that often get services in the 2100 building and gives them an opportunity to get experience in the food service industry. The coffee is what draws many of its patrons and is inexpensive and well made. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the vibe is always cozy and relaxed. The drawbacks for me are the menu items that tend to be underwhelming and for the price not really a value. However, there is a small cold case with food for on the go so that definitely helps. It also offers orders ahead of time in case you are stopping by the 2100 for a training or event.

I love these ever since an old friend made them for us, but I find it hard to find in the stores. Naturally, I had to try this place. I was not disappointed. Tried a sweet and a savory trumpet...the maple cream butter and the ham and english cheese. Both were great. Only issue is to check the days theyre open. Make sure theyre open the day youre down there.

Great for lunch! The Thai veggie sandwich on wheat is my favorite, I must have ordered it once a week when I worked near there. Their coffee is good and the staff is all very friendly. Their sandwiches are made to order, so do be prepared to wait a few minutes, or call in your order for pick up.
