This particular location smells like urine, is dirty- food tastes horrible, screens crackle, cramped seating. Last night was the 2nd time in a week weve had issues with the way your theaters are run (2 different locations!)... Last Sunday (the 2nd) we went to your Hampton location to see Inkheart. We drove 35 minutes from home to see the movie. When we arrive were informed that it is NOT showing even though your website clearly said it was. We vowed never to go again to that location since we trusted your website- the clerk informed us that if we really wanted to see that particular movie or any movie to drive to the Regal cinema around the block. Directing us to a competitor, tacky. So last night my husband offered we take our sleeping son to see a movie that didnt involve cartoons. Were military meaning were new to the area and have yet to find a babysitter, we dont have options for getting a night of peace so we figured with him being asleep there wouldnt be any issues. We arrive at your Pembroke location to see the 9:45 showing of Yes, Man. We are told that our 5 year old is not allowed inside of the theater even though he was asleep. On your WEBSITE it says guests under 5 years old arent allowed but when we arrive at the theater it says guests under 6 years old arent allowed after 6 pm. An egregious error since we drove 30 minutes from our home YET AGAIN to another one of your theaters. Your website is so shoddy, seeing as your theaters cant maintain scheduled times that are posted. We will never go to any of your theaters again since you do nothing for customers, that in a poor economy, spend their hard earned money on gas to drive to your theaters for a night of relaxation and fun. We refuse to go to your Greenbrier location (which is 5 minutes from our home) because the bathrooms are not regularly cleaned and the smell of urine wafts out of the bathroom, into the game room, and into the back of the theaters. Absolutely deplorable. We also will not go to your Kemps River location as on two separate occasions we show up at your theater for scheduled times that we confirmed on your website and phone only to be told once we arrived that they started 45 minutes earlier. We were not offered any compensation for our troubles nor an apology from the management.

Its a great place to see a movie for a cheap price, but the service we had was horrible. My best friend and I took my daughter to see Rio 2. The movie was great. Our waiter on the other hand was not. We ordered 15 minutes before the movie started. Large bucket of popcorn with butter, 3 small drinks, and an order of soft pretzels with nacho cheese. We did not get served until 20 minutes into the movie. He did not bring any butter for the popcorn and when I tasted my tea, it tasted like someone had made it in a coffee pot. I pushed the button to alert him that we needed something. He never came back. I alerted another waiter as to our problem and he said he would let our server know. Another 15 minutes passed and the waiter I talked to brought us some butter and took away my tea/coffee. Another 15 minutes passed before I received a replacement drink from that second waiter and he apologized for our waiter not getting back to us. About 10 minutes before the movie was over, our original waiter shows up and asks if we need anything else.We all said no and he brought the bill. So we had cold popcorn by the time we got the melted butter for it, and I barely drank half of my replacement drink as the movie was nearly over before it came. Very disappointed, but I will give Greenbrier Cinema Cafe another try but if the same waiter shows up, I will request another one.

Mixed emotions. If youre going for a movie, the option to select your seating in advance is great for people with families who would like to sit together. It also has extraordinary comfortable seating and the theaters are clean and comfortable. Nice atmosphere. The service is hit-or-miss, but that has been my experience with any place staffed with teenagers. Not an ageist, just speaking from experience. Food is not so great. Unfortunately a couple bad experiences back to back with food, and my expectations were not particularly High to begin with so thats why 3 instead of 5. For instance, not comparing food to other places but just comparing food to other Cinema Cafe, they do a better job at the other locations than this particular one. But drinks are quick and good and fairly priced, as well as popcorn and other concessions. Definitely still better than a standard movie theater and would definitely recommend for a fun time. Maybe go out to dinner before going there.

I really enjoyed my time at the Cinema Cafe. It was my first visit and I was impressed. I went early in the day and my ticket was on $2.50. I had also purchased a groupon to get $20 worth of food for $10. I had to order extra food just to spend my $20 coupon. I took my two kids and they really enjoyed themselves. I ordered them a small popcorn package that came with a drink and a snack for just under $6 each. The atmosphere was great. The wait staff was on top of things, though I did have to wait until the movie started to get the service going. I even was able to order again mid movie. The seating was comfortable. It was an all around great experience. I will definitely be taking my family again. I spent a total of $17.50. I can spend this solo plus more at the theater across the street. The only reason I didnt give it five stars was because, it does not carry the latest titles, but with those prices its still worth the visit.

Cheap film tickets for some of the best titles (although you do have to wait until the DVD release is about a month away) and, I swear, some of the best pizza on Gods green earth. They shave the ham perfectly, and its the flawless level of crispy on the edges and juicy in the center. All their ingredients are easily gourmet-level. Everythings made to order, so expect a bit of a wait, but its fresh and comes out as youre enjoying whatevers playing. Takeout is permissible and recommended (the pizza, at least, reheats beautifully. Maybe not such a good idea for anything deep-fried). The theaters are rarely packed so youve got your pick of seats and almost never have to worry about noise levels from other people. If youre lucky you get the place all to yourself. If youre on a budget but still want to take the family/friend group out to something fun, do Cinema Cafe.

I was disappointed by the service. I was taking a friend out and I ordered a pitcher of bud light for us to share and when we finally got it 20-30 minutes later, it was flatter than water! I had it sent back and order the only other domestic they had, because I wanted to keep it cheap. They informed me they were completely out of it, so I had to order a more expensive beer, I did so thinking theyd at least have the decency to charge me for the domestic since I couldnt have that, being that one was undrinkable, and the other was unavailable...I was wrong. They overcooked our pizza and we asked for ranch to dip our pizza in. It took 40 minutes to get 4 cups of ranch and we had to ask four times. I love cinema cafe, but I was utterly disappointed.
