. . . Ive always been a big fan of their chicken fried steak with white gravy, fried fish portion, and macaroni and cheese. Also, they have delicious sweet tea, rich desserts, and a convenient drive-thru. The prices of their plates/platters (Traditions and Texas) have slightly increased/gone up over the past several years. However, its not as if I eat here "every week" so when I do go, I dont mind paying. . . . Sumptuous food that always leaves me hungry for more. ;-)

Lets see Im really not to sure where to start. Maybe considering the fact that Im obviously not a senior but the associate behind the serving line stated I couldnt not be served a senior plate. I didnt argue. The mashed potatoes are usually extra soggy, the baked chicken I had was a bit rough and red still. They are definitely slacking in the food preparation aspect. The service from the wait staff is probably better then the food.

I live an hour away and people always talk about how good Their food is so....I came to Tyler and seen this restaurant that looks like a nursing home.My food was terrible The dressing I Had was just Nasty and dressing is one of my favorite foods , I’m so disappointed because I wasted $22!Only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is because They had a really good Staff!

Traditions is a lovely cafeteria-style restaurant. If you are 50+ I suggest the senior platter which is a plate with smaller portions consisting of half an entree, vegetable and bread. Currently, it is $4.71. Watch the pricey drinks and desserts. If you drink water and skip the pecan pie, thats a pretty good deal.

My meal today was excellent. For several years we ate there two to three times a week. For a while they increased their prices and cut down on the portions. A balanced price and portion serving is a leading factor in being a successful restaurant. I think they have balanced it out lately.

Service from our waiter was nice but the food was NOT good. Everything was cold and nasty. The okra was cold and tasted like it had been sitting un grease all night. My food was cold. The other guests i was with, their food was cold. Just a very bad experience. I will not be going back.

They presented a very professional look. First impressions last a long while. They were prompt in serving the dinner. I was absolutely amazed at how quickly the 102 employees and guests were served. The food was delicious, hot, and plentiful. They made our evening most enjoyable.

Traditions is our families "go to" place to eat when we visit Tyler. The food is delicious, the staff efficient and courteous. It is everything that Lubys was 30 years ago when they were so busy you had to wait in line just to get in the door. 5 stars!!!

Im not a fan of Lubys so I was not a fan of a a glorified Lubys. I had the Bacon wrapped Chicken which looked like it was going to be really good but I was very disappointed. The server was not very attentive and they werent busy. I will never go back!

The ambiance was great. The entrée was good but the broccoli was brown and the roll was hard as a rock. Add time that very poor service. This was a place we came for quality food and excellent service. Things have really deteriorated.

This is a great locally owned restaurant. You go through the line and choose what you want from the many options they offer. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. It is quiet here and a great place for family gatherings.

This is a wonderful place to go if youre looking for an upscale Lubys with white tablecloths. Although it was a very formal name and exterior, you will find the interior to be much more casual and laid back than it seems.

We ordered a turkey for Thanksgiving. $75 for a pale, undercooked, tasteless bird. NEVER again. Normally the food is decent while dining but this was very disappointing.
