Ive been to this Plano location twice, and both times wish I hadnt. The first time I just stopped by for a quick breakfast, not sure what to expect. I walked in, it was nice, and I was seated immediately. I ordered a chai latte, to start, and they brought me some muffin halves as an appetizer. I attempted to eat the muffin halves, but they were inedibley stale. Around the 30 minute mark they finally came back to take my order. I was so parched from the muffins I had to order a water because my latte had yet to arrive. 15 minutes after ordering my water I finally was able to was down the aweful muffins, and the waitress asked to take my order. having had only an hour for breakfast, and having waited 45 minutes for a latte that was still no where to be found, I declined breakfast, and asked for my latte to be "to-go." after 30 more minutes I finally received my latte and was on my way.... 15 minutes late for work. The latte was good, nothing to write home about, and certainly nothing to wait and hour and 15 minutes for, all the while a woman assures you that it will be "right out." Now I believe in second chances and giving people the benefit of the doubt. (plus this time I had 2 hours) so I went back, on my birthday. (Ill make this one short) This time I ordered food right off the bat, and a milk. Again, nasty inedible muffin halves, had to order water while waiting for milk. Sat and waited, sat and waited, finally got milk after about an hour. 30 minutes after the milk I got my food, the Chicken Fajita Breakfast Taco Plate Thing. it... was... AWFUL! So bland, and I was so hungry. It took me a while to put it in my face, just because it was so bad. I left over half of it, and for the first time in my life left food on my plate at a restaurant and did not ask for a "to-go" box. Waiting for my check was a mistake I was already out of time (which I told the waitress.) she gave me my check 20 minutes later, and again I was late to work. To give credit where credit is due, the food looked really good. but you cant eat looks.

This review is for the NorthPark Mall location.........my husband and I went there for dinner about 6 months ago. We were seated outside on the patio and waited there for about 15 minutes before the hostess walked by and asked if we had been served, offered a drink, etc. We told her "no" and she told us she would get a server for us. In the meantime, other guests were being seated near us and promptly being waited on. Another few minutes passed and still no server, nothing. Obviously, we walked out. On the way out my husband politely explained the situation to the manager. The manager asked how she could fix the problem. My husband said " you cant" and we left. I guess the manager didnt have the guts to offer us a comp or something to say they were sorry and we didnt need to beg for free food. My husband emailed the company and let them know of our experience. We received two gift certificates for free entrees to make up for our experience. Fast forward to July 29, 2014.........we decided to give this location another try. We were seated for dinner around 6:45 p.m. Remember, this is the NorthPark Mall location. The place was basically empty. We were seated and server but nothing spectacular. We both ordered the buffalo chicken salad- the salad was very good, but that place has too good of a menu and a cool interior not to be busy or to have poor service. The restroom was a mess and the bar was empty, no one sitting there, yet there was a line of empty/dirty drink glasses on the bar. There was literally about 10 people in the whole place. The food is good but overpriced, The menu is very unique but the idiots working there will put the mall location out of business. The Uptown location is always busy because its Uptown. Im not sure how the NorthPark location stays open. If it wasnt for free food, wed never go back. All I had to pay for was two drinks and a cup of soup and that was still $25. Royal dump, way overrated. Dont waste your time. Id rather eat at Chik Fil A in the food court!

Ive been here twice and Ive come away with a mix review. On the one hand, I think its awesome that instead of traditional starter bread that most restaurants turn out with, they give you an assortment of gourmet breads and cakes. Thats easily one of their best features as a restaurant. Dont ever take that away. Their food is hit and miss, however. I ordered their McKinney Avenue scramble one time, and then their Chicken and Waffles another. I thought the scramble was decent, but there definitely couldve been more pizazz to it. I feel like if I had those ingredients, I could have made it myself at home. It needed something more distinctive. The chicken and waffles were unlike any Ive ever had before. Ive never had jalapeno cheddar waffles before, and while it definitely added a distinctive element the scramble was missing, I dont know if the taste is quite to my palate. Overall though, the place is very nicely set up. Theres ample seating on their covered patio, which is nice on warm days, and theres also ample amount of room inside. Ive never been to their bar, but it looks very cool. You can probably expect at least a 30 minute wait there on most days though, so be prepared for that. Overall, I think Whiskey Cake down the road is better, but this place is definitely a nice spot to grab a cocktail and enjoy their complimentary bread/cakes!

I normally dont do reviews but I was just very surprised at the lack of service. I went in for a quiet brunch on my break about 6 months ago. Walked in and no one talked to me or said anything for over 5 minutes. Then I was seated, no one ever came to my table. I waited almost 20 minutes. At the 10 minute mark I got up and asked for some water and the lady said ya one sec. Then never came back. So I walked out. I tried it again today and the food was alright(really greasy) and the coffee was so bitter I couldnt even sip it, the entire time I was there not a single employee smiled at me, even my own server who approached me and said are you ready to order now or do you want me to come back when you decide. I asked her about one of the items on the menu and she shrugged. This is a small way to make people feel welcome, a simple smile, and there were about 15-20 employees walking around. I am very disappointed and will not return or recommend this restaurant to anyone I know.

Extremely disappointing. My wife and I went there for breakfast on a Wednesday it wasnt crowded, she ordered a mimosa to start off with and we waited. She had to ask twice again if the order was placed before it ever arrived. For food I ordered a basic breakfast with biscuits and the biscuit was not cooked l sent it back to the kitchen and shortly thy brought out another uncooked biscuit to replace it. The table next to us had the same issue with under cooked biscuits theirs was actually doughy inside. We had to get up and get our own tea refills as the waiter would disappear often. We told a manager about this and they brought us coupons for B1G1 entree on another visit, which means they sorry of care. But really if I am going to go somewhere and drop $45 for a basic breakfast I expect one the biscuit to be cooked and the best biscuit I ever had not just a half baked glob of biscuit dough and lousy service.
