+ cheap drinks + no cops + karaoke + ok food (but dont expect high quality anything) + (free) parking lot + easily accessible/ok for neighborhood bar (but there are way better ones if you live in the area...) + IF youre friends with management, they take care of you Cons: - no good wine :( - no dance floor - trashy clientele, many of which snorting coke on patio and/or inside bar - not enough wait staff - bar owners have too much control/are on-site entirely too often (led to decline in loyal regulars) - ice tastes funny - dirty hole-in-wall atmosphere, even after the remodel - floozy, inattentive bartenders - remodel (courtesy of "Bar Rescue") was complete waste; only difference was the superfluous/non-functional interior decorations to make the bar appear more "sporty". - not worth the far drive in from town

My wife and I recently relocated to Houston with my job and were looking for a new place to fill our koozies. We never watched Bar Rescue until finding out this place was on it, so we had no idea what we were getting into. We introduced ourselves as new locals and were warmly welcomed. We now know all the staff and are verbally welcomed each time we walk through the door. The owners are in the business working it everyday and are very pleasant people. This is reflected in their staff. Ive recently seen them put up with some obnoxious behavior from customers before asking them to leave. If you havent been, give them a shot. If you have and dont like it, its not for everyone. If you hate it, there are worse places people like you belong. Go there. Sit. Stay. Personally, I found my new local bar.

This bar has recently changed ownership, and we decided to stop by tonight. We let the 2 bartenders know that we were going to sit outside. They said okay. Well, let me tell you...we wsited over 15 minutes, and no one bothered to wait on us!!! When we walked back through the bar to leave, the bartenders just stared at us. There were very few customers, and I thought that was really odd for a Saturday night. Now, I know why. If you cannot get waited on, there are many other places to grab a cold beer and a bite to eat. When Dana and Justin owned the bar, the food was great, and the service was amazing. This used to be our favorite hangout. I am so sorry to see my favorite hang out going downhill. So sad, but I refuse to go any place where the staff do not care about their customers.

This place is the best! I have been living in Houston for about 8 years and have been to many...many bars (as I am a pool player). I can honestly say that this place is at the top of my list for the overall experience. Great Staff, Great Owner, Well Made Drinks, The Food is Amazing. Always freshly made.. 35cent wings on wednesdays... $1 Street Tacos on Tuesdays...Service is on point and the place is always clean (which is important to me). Being a pool player I even started my own APA League Team out of there as well as host tournaments...As you can tell by now.. I pretty much live there. lol.. I guarantee that this place will not disappoint... And if you do show up...Ill probably be there! Oh and...no...I dont work there...but I really do appreciate the existence of this bar and its staff.

Nice atmosphere. They do crawfish but the crawfish sucks. Dont waste your time. And the bartenders are rude. Melissa was her name. I repeatedly had to ask her for drinks and she would look at me, smirk, and then proceed to other guests. She was too busy socializing with another guy who seems she knows personally. I will never go back to this bar. Step your game up End Zone or hire bartenders that actually wanna work. **RESPONSE TO OWNER: I couldnt figure out how to respond to your response but I did not come to a manager because I was already frustrated and my brother wanted to leave as well so thats what we did. I dont know how to respond on here but if needed be my email is danedaneforter@gmail.**

I am from San Antonio and this is the 2nd time here and had to stop by again because of my previous experience. I had an awesome time the last time and wondered how that can be topped. But to my surprise, they took it to a whole another level. Customer Service -awesome... Food - Awesome... Staff - Professional. .. Patrons - Awesome (everybody knew each others name for the most part)... To sum it up... Awesome time before... Awesome time now.... and I know I will have an awesome time when I return to the city of Houston... This is the place to come by and chill for a bit.. "ILL BE BACK!" 4"sho

On Labor Day 2014, My husband and I came out to the bar from the Clear Lake area when it was still under the name Houston Sports Hub. We love Bar Rescue! And we had to check this place out. The service was AWESOME, the drinks were good, the appetizers were hot and tasty and Justin(the owner)came and spoke with us for quite some time. We got to take a picture with him in their boxing ring area. It was a blast! The bathrooms were super clean, everything looked nice. Id love to go back. I saw the episode on "Back to the Bar", and Im so glad everything is going well.

I clicked on their website, which has a massive add that reads "MENTION THIS ADD AND GET TWO FOR ONE DRINKS"! So I head over to try the place out. When I showed the add to the bartender, she looked scared and walked away. Then she got another bartender who told me that wasnt their website, huh? There is a massive pic of the bar in the background for crying out loud. They had pictures of bartenders who were working right in front of me. Not our website my ass. Just an incredibly uncomfortable moment, not something Id pay for, or return for. Very amateur.

Wow new owners they obviously dont care. Been going here for 2 years and everything was good. New owners the food went down hill but kept trying to give them a chance until tonight. Went by and told the waitress that we wanted to sit outside. She said okay after ten minutes with no menus or drinks and no wait staff coming out decided to leave. The staff did not even notice we left. This place is going down hill and it is really sad. I hate it because we use to go here once or twice a week Well now I must find a new place

Terrible service. After waiting ten minutes to get one beer I was told there was a minimum credit card amount. I gave $5 cash for a three dollar bottle beer and the girl behind the bar assumed incorrectly that she somehow deserves a two dollar tip. She just kept it and looked at me like I was retarded. Not how you run a good business. You get tipped for good service, not just because you showed up for work. Disappointed and not going back.

For anybody who has ever seen Bar Rescue and was curious enough to come here. We were certainly underwhelmed, expecting a buzzing, hopping place with a lot of energy and a big crowd - only to walk into an ordinary sorts bar being ran by one bartender. The food that has been hyped up was good, but definitely not legendary. Im not rushing back there, but if in the area will drop in.
