The food was good but thats where this review turns bad. The service we had was horrible. There was six of us and we all got soup with our meals. It took over 10 minutes since the first soup was delivered to when the last soup was delivered. My soup then was cold since we were waiting for everyone to get theirs. After the meal I asked for a take-home box for my food. There was still a lot left. She took my plate back into the kitchen and THREW IT OUT! I was not happy about this and I will NEVER return back to the Black Dog Cafe. It was a little too pricey and since I only got to eat half of my dinner it just cemented how much I dislike the service at the Black Dog Cafe. Would not recommend.

This quaint little restaurant serves great food at reasonable prices and BYOB is a big plus as well. The food is freshly prepared and artfully presented. Its one of our go to places and we enjoy the little side patio for outdoor eating in the warmer weather. The staff is very kind and tries hard to please. We have been there many times and have never been disappointed. Lots of great things to try, but red snapper, thai red curry salmon, honey walnut shrimp, and many of the beef dishes are favorites. Also they will try to accommodate your dietary needs and are very willing to make changes if they can.

Amazing little family run place in the heart of Skippack village. The portions are huge and great for sharing. I get takeout here a few times a month. They have a bit of a different spin on their pad Thai than most places but its phenomenal!!! Reasonably priced and BYOB if youre eating in. The staff is super friendly and the longest Ive ever waited for a food pickup was 30 minutes on a busy night. Highly recommend if youre looking for something affordable. A great place to get wine is up the street at the village wine cellar before coming in for dinner.

The food is great, which is why I brought my friends there. But the server, in a manner that was very unexpected and rude, withheld giving my friend her wonton soup that came with her meal, because she accidentally served us 3 salads instead of 2. Now, when a server makes an error like this, he or she should not punish the customer. It was not worth the lengthy, rude explanation, and ruined what could have been a wonderful meal and experience.

I honestly have not eaten here but I went in based on the advertisement that this was an asian fusion with many types of asian food. That is untrue- as this place has pretty much run of the mill Chinese only. I dont like Chinese so this mis information wasted my lunch hour and irritated me. Acpparently mostly take out. didnt look very clean and the front staff was not helpful. so i left

I have eaten at this restaurant many times over the last 6 years. Ive never, ever had a bad meal. Nor has anyone Ive ever taken ever complained about anything. The wait staff is always pleasant and efficient. The food is beautifully presented and is always delicious. Prices are extremely reasonable. This is hands down my favorite restaurant in the area!

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at the Black Dog Cafe. To start with the two young servers are a delight. They couldnt be more helpful. We were not rushed and we had time to enjoy a glass of wine in between courses. The food could not be better and their portions were well worth it. All and all it was a very enjoyable evening.

Everything there is good. The selection is pretty average but the individual items will most likely be the best youve had. Brought my brother-in-law from Oregon, who now asks to go there everytime he comes to visit. Service there is always polite and noninvasive, and the room feels like a cute tea house. Love this place

Pad Thai was mushy, had some sort of red coloring, no vegetables and was not pan fried. The pinneaple fried rice had no pineapple and was not fried. Probably the worst Asian food Ive had. I also tried the kung pow chicken and it was just average. Ive been here two other times but I keep forgetting what Ive tried.

Fantastic Thai curry! The best Ive had in Upper Bucks and Montgomery Counties. We came for lunch, sat on their shaded patio and cleaned every plate wishing for more. Our home is a drive, but this one meal made the trip worth while.

Im not the biggest fan of Chinese food! Having said that, Black Dog exceeded my expectations. My husband loves Chinese and this is the only place I will go with him. The Thai curry is my favorite!

Not much of a menu selection...waited too long for entrees. Horrible ownership & service. There are many other restaurants that would appreciate my business. Save your money.

My friend and I went to the black dat cafe in this summer. The food was okay, but my friends plate had a fly on her food. That is horrible experience. We wont come back anymore.
