Im no greenhorn when it comes to authentic Mexican food and this is the real deal. To my knowledge there hasnt been a local Mexican joint this good since the heyday of "La Mexicana" on 7th St. in Allentown many years ago. TT is VERY clean and cozy with Univision playing on the TV and most patrons I saw there would certainly know good Mexican cuisine, and if it wasnt - make it at home. Menudo is one of my litmus tests for any Mexican restaurant and theirs is to die for. Went back the day after my first visit it was that good. Next for me is the chile rellenos. The tacos tasted like something you would grab from a little stand in Guadalajara. As one other reviewer noted the guacamole was delicious. Sublime. It seemed many of the locals were ordering the fish special offered and I saw nothing but bones going back to the kitchen. High praise indeed. If you are looking to recapture the flavors you experienced on a vacation to Mexico or perhaps the taqueria you frequented while stationed outside of San Diego youve found it! PS - evidently Patel wouldnt know standards of quality, authentic Mexican food, or cleanliness for that matter, if it hit him over the head with a chapati.

the place was recommended from a good friend and decided to give it a whirl. we had driven out of town for the day and were 40 mimutes away. so we were hungry and we love our tacos and traveled everywhere to eat good tacos. PROS: -- drinks: horchata and Tamarindo (supersized at a great price $3) -- rice was nice and hot and fresh (that came on the side with my burrito) CONS: -- customer service (they said order out only an hour before they closed on Sunday) -- taco DE lenguas (not chewy as what I had expected before at another taco spot) -- overpriced just bummed because we eat out a lot and love our tacos. doesnt compare to our favorite spot we normally go to.

I have tried every Mexican restaurant within the surrounding 15 miles and this is the best by far! If you want to talk authentic Mexican, then you want this place! The menu is outstanding and the prices are cheap. It is the best guacamole I have ever had with chips. I love their burritos and quesadillas with either the green (hot) or red (medium) sauce. If you dont see it on the menu, they will cook to order. Great service as well. Looks a little questionable from the outside (not too bad though) but if you eat there, you wont regret it! If you like Mexican food, I highly recommend this place!

Ordered a steak burrito and a beef tounge taco. The steak burrito was delicious but a bit on the small side. Not sure if thats the average size for a burrito here in Pennsylvania but theyre usually bigger back home in Chicago. The taco de lengua took me back to my days in San Diego when I use to take a ride to Tijuana. Absolutely delicious. The red salsa was FIRE (really good). Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant. I might stop by again before I go back home :)

Moved here from the south west and MISSED mexican food...ANY mexican food. And then I went here....fantastic! Nothing else in this area except towards Philly or NYC had authentic mexican food. Local mexican restaurants (before I found this place) were just tex-mex. Its very nostalgic for me- a simple, fast, delicious mexican restaurant in a small space...very much like I ate in texas, california, and the non-street stalls in mexico! You want real mexican food? Go here! Run dont walk!

Moving here from Colorado, I was missing great Mexican food. This place serves authentic, simple, non-Tex-Mex food that you cant quite make at home. We tried their carnitas, carne asada, chorizo, and al pastor in burrito and tostada form, as well as their nachos especiale. We loved everything but the chorizo; it tasted heavily seasoned with cinnamon and was too sweet for my liking, but to each their own. Fresh tasting, made to order food, friendly staff, will definitely return!

Hands down. The food here is phenomenal. Its very good and has me coming back again and again. And again. I liked that they had Pineapple Soda (iced cold) in a bottle. The waiter was attentive. They also have take out which is a plus. To top things off, the prices are low. I was surprised to pay less than 20 for two people and for additional pineapple sodas (because I drink like fish). Go here. Eat their food. Youll be impressed.

Definitely now our local Mexican Food Resraurant! It was so delish and like everyone else says its authentic! Lime soda and Canitas burrito were outstanding (only ate half bc its so big & filling!) and my bf got 3 tacos that he said "wow" and "amazing" and "Im blown away" with each bite!

Ive only had the carne asada soft tacos and they are excellent and they are stuffed. My friends had the shrimp fajitas which is what they always have and theyre the ones that brought me. Very casual (its a taqueria!) And modestly priced. Youll go away very satisfied.

This place is amazing every single time I go in. The food is always fresh and authentic. There is no other place like this in the area. They are quick to serve you and the portions are huge. Its a must try.

Fantastic authentic Latino food expect to spend between $15 and $20 on your meal but the food is great. Service is good they serve chips and some kind of salsa before the meal comes out be careful it is spicy.

Great tacos! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food is definitely authentic and delicious. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for a great Mexican meal and not a typical chain restaurant

Great food! This place truly offers authentic, unadulterated, deliciously cooked Mexican food! We live in NYC and honestly you can hardly find a Mexican restaurant whose food beat Tacos La Mexicana.

The food here is delicious and very fresh. I have only eaten here once but would definitely go back again. Parking can be a pain if you cant find a spot right on the street.

I love this place! The food is consistently delicious and fresh. The best Mexican food around, for certain. The horchata is great and the platters are generous and flavorful.

Dining and restaurant smelled unpleasant. Food was plain, unsalted, not authentic. Went to this restaurant because of its <4 star rating. However it has food with no savor.

First time there and was impressed with the food. Definitely authentic. Would go again to try something else on the menu. I had the fajitas and would recommend them.
