Don’t be fooled by the older online reviews. Most reviews on Yelp within the last four months are 1 stars, and now you can add my 1-star review to the list! My husband made a reservation six days in advance via the Logan Inn’s website. There was a “Special Request” section, and he added that we were attending to see the band performing that night. He wrote that we’d like to be seated where the band is playing. The reservation listed both his phone number and email. The same day, I posted on their FB page that we were coming to have dinner while seeing the band scheduled, and I asked if the seating for dinner was near the music. No reply. The morning of the reservation, I called to inquire more. I said we had a reservation, but we were primarily coming to see the band. I asked if the seating was near the music. I was offered the tavern, where the music can be seen and heard, or the enclosed area around the tavern where the music can be heard. I said we wanted to see the band, so we’d like to be seated inside the tavern. I was told that she would add that to my reservation. We arrived (4 guests total) only to be seated in the enclosed area with a stone wall in our view. I explained that we had reserved a table in the tavern. We were told those tables were booked, and the girl who answered the phone should not have promised us tavern seating. Okay, but she did! We arrived expecting specific seating. Instead, we were moved to another table where two of our guests could see the band through a opening in the wall, and the other two could not. The request was made on the reservation six days prior and confirmed the morning of. If they were unable to accommodate, they could have called or emailed my husband to let him know. Once seated, we were promised the “best” waiter, and our first round of drinks were free. Much appreciated, but it only got worse. The menu online was different than the menu we were given, including the drinks. I chose a draft beer, and they had “just run out of it”. My husband ordered the crab cake, which was just that - ONE crab cake for $29! Another guest and myself ordered the pan-seared salmon, which we requested be broiled. It wasn’t. It’s no different than ordering meat raw vs. well done. We were never brought or even offered bread. No salt and pepper on the table! No water refills. My one guest ordered prime rib - I’ve never seen someone shake a table trying to cut so hard through a piece of meat. We weren’t offered dessert, we had to ask for the menu. After dessert, we waited over a half hour to be checked on. I then had to ask for the check. My husband said he was embarrassed that he brought our guests there. As we left, the manager that promised us the world gave me the dirtiest look. My husband and I worked in retail management for almost 40 years combined. We know how to treat people with respect. When you treat a customer like crap, expected a crappy review. Overpriced mediocre food, terrible service and staff. NEVER AGAIN.

I had a nice, leisurely lunch at the Logan Inn, just this very day. I didnt get "ripped-off" by paying $10 to park in the Logan Inn parking lot, I parked my car about a block away in one of the municipal parking lots. Twelve quarters (three dollars) bought me three hours of time. More than enough time to do the things I wanted to do. Okay, New Hope (the WHOLE Philadelphia area!) is in the grip of a heat wave, as we speak. Its the Fourth of July Weekend. I mean, ITS HOT!!! Im 61 years old, and hardly in shape, but the short walk to the Logan Inn was NO problem! Some "local" got bent out of shape because he HAD to pay $10 just to park his car? Get a life, buddy!! Inside the Inn, the air conditioning offered a nice, pleasant respite to the brutal heat, outside. The bartender, Holleen (I hope I spelled her name right!) was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and attentive. She supplied me with a menu, I ordered and then sat back and had a couple of Guinness draughts. Holleen kept me advised that the kitchen was "backed-up" (It IS the Fourth of July Weekend, after all!), and my order would be out, shortly. It was. Stuffed flounder, with crabmeat. Delicious! No rush. Holleen was working with another bartender, Ed. Another bartender, Sherry, was working the outside bar. All three bartenders were delightful! No problems, here! I think "some" disgruntled reviewers, here, bring the problems in with themselves. I really do. How can one reviewer report a pleasant experience, and the next one report a lousy experience? Im TOTALLY mystified! Id recommend the Logan Inn to anyone!!

On the whole it was a good experience. Not great but good. The Shrimp Bisque was very good as was the house salad with the balsamic dressing. Five out of the six dinners were very good but my son ordered a filet mignon with mushrooms medium rare. Unfortunately it came out as a butterfly filet mignon medium well. Where they got the butterfly filet from is a complete mystery to us because there was no such thing as a butterfly filet on the menu. Nevertheless it had to be sent back because it was way overdone anyway. Kind of put a damper on the whole meal because by the time the correct order came out the rest of us were pretty much done with our meals. Waiter was not the best. Phillip was his name. A litle rough around the edges. He started off by coughing at our table as he was reciting that evenings dinner specials. As he served our meals we were required to take them from his hand and place them down ourselves. Something a waiter should naturally do himself, shouldnt he? As he collected the plates when we were finished our meals, we were then required to hand the plates back to him. Very unusual for an upscale restaurant. Usually they have the busboys clear the tables when the meals are finished. Anyway these may be minor complaints for some people but he definitely took what could have been an excellent dining experience and turned it into a somewhat mediocre experience. The food was very good however. So if you are lucky enough not to get Phillip as a waiter you will probably enjoy your dining experience at the Logan Inn very much.

Stayed at the Logan Inn ... Memorial day weekend for 1 night. My friend wanted to go so she could experience the ghost that haunt the Inn. We only stayed for 1 night because it was pricy. Over 300$ Breakfast was included but if you didnt make it downstairs by 10 then you werent getting breakfast! So we missed it.. We went out and about during the day to shop and eat. Amazing stores and great food along the way. We went out for cocktails at night and chatted with a few locals about the Logan Inn. Very nice and fun people! We went back around 1 to get our ghosting on! Very creepy going into the Inn because it was rather dark and seemed everyone left for the night. That made me feel unsafe. We went around doing some recordings with our phones. We heard lots of moans. (Apparently from others staying...having sex!). We didnt experience anything going by room 6 (haunted by Emily) just feeling a coldness in temperature. We went up to our room sat on the bed and soon heard foot steps outside our door which of course freaked me out! After showering I went to bed. Didnt hear much of anything. I did feel something on my feet on top of the covers. Almost like something walking around on the bed. This constantly went on and kept waking me up! Not my friend! She was snoring away! We left some trinkets out in case the kids came to play but in the a.m. nothing was touched. I also brought the elf on the shelf along for the ride... but he was behaving! Definitely was a fun experience and I would recommend it for a night. (Had to go home and sleep).
