I used to be a loyal LUCIANOS customer, and then I found out about LORENZOS. Sure, its twice as far from my house, but WOW, they make great pizza! (the best in the South Hills that I have had...) The WHITE PIZZA (try it with tomato and spinach) is the best Ive had ANYWHERE, and the WINGS are also made perfectly. Its a PIZZA PLACE, but they have a great margarita night on Thursdays, and even have some live entertainment on occasion that rocks. (Rusty Old Bikers Band?) Recently they have added some picnic tables. The outdoor seating is great, and you can really enjoy a nice breeze on a summer afternoon and some pizza and beer. Even if you arent super hungry, its the perfect place to stop, because they serve pizza by the slice. There are also some very good signature sandwiches, like the "FOCACCIACOLA" with authentic focaccia bread, Parma capicola, provolone, sauteed mushrooms, lettuce and tomatos! There are three taps, and its a good variety - light beer, regular beer (Molson Canadian) and "semi" special beer. (I think they can do a lot better than Magic Hat #9 for that "special" tap.) Pizza can only cook SO fast, so its typically a 20-25 minute wait for your pie, unless you order a slice, of course. There are no waitresses, because the dining room is very small, but the guys in the kitchen are great and make sure you are taken care of right away. Sorry Lucianos. I still love you, but I gravitate towards the BEST!

I have been dining at this fine establishment for years. From the moment you walk in, you feel as though youre in an authentic restaurant in the heart of Italy. The decor is absolutely breathtaking. They have photos of old Italian families, maps, popular culture, and different Pittsburgh sporting events. Their service and cuisine is top tier. They have a wide range of scrumptious Italian meals. From calzones, salads, wings, pizzas, etc. My favorite is their pizza. It will seem as though you died and went to heaven. It all starts the foundation: the dough. It is cooked exquisitely with a perfect ratio of chewy and crunchy. My taste buds explode with ecstasy each time I have the privilege of eating this pizza. Next is the sauce. It has a healthy balance of both sweetness and tanginess. The cheese exhibits a delectable texture that really makes the experience. The consistency of this pizza pie is truly astounding. The professional cooks here deliver an awe inspiring experience each and everytime. My big toe twitches at the thought of going to this restaurant. Do yourself a favor and go..yesterday!

The pizza tastes good, but the service here is getting consistently worse and worse. Weve had the guys working there literally throw things at us (receipt, pen to sign with) because we unknowingly showed up after their closing time to pick up a pizza. If someone calls at 5:45 to order and you close at 6:00, maybe you should tell them that you close in 15 minutes instead of acting hostile when they arrive to pay for their order. Its not like this shop has a website where they publicly post their hours. Then we had another experience with one of the delivery drivers unknowingly leaving a voice mail on my cellphone when he couldnt find our house. He was cursing and totally inappropriate. Good pizza isnt hard to find, but good customer service is invaluable, and I will not be giving my business to a place that treats their customers like this.
