So the office I work at tend to order coffee A LOT and we try to make it easy on both the person picking it up and the coffee shops. We used to order at Starbucks all the time, but after awhile the employees became rude and we noticed drinks would get messed up. I mean were ordering for 15+ people and to have at least 10 incorrect drinks every time.. One of the Starbucks we ordered at even told the person picking up our drinks that were no longer welcome there so we switched to Dutch Brothers. They have been nothing but amazing! Were ordering there almost 5 days a week thats how great the service is and theyre so quick getting all the drinks set and ready to go. Anyway, our office wanted to try something new that wasnt Starbucks or Dutch so we decided to try The Human Bean. Before getting the orders ready I tried calling them just to let them know a heavy list of orders will be coming their way the following day and if there was anything we could do to make their job easier let us know so we could help. Unfortunately, when I called an employee named Stacy answered and when she heard me ask for a fax number (because who knows, maybe they might have one) she hung up. I called again and was immediately hung up on. I called again 3-4 times and every time the phone would either ring until it gave out or I would get hung up on again. Even though the coffee is satisfying here, the service has so far been not one I would recommend. Service wise I would rate them a two because I find it highly disrespectful getting hung up on time after time.

I was horrified by the lineup of cars and was contemplating whether I will have time to get coffee and make it to work. I was surprised at how was the service was (3 cars ahead of me and I got to the window within 6mins!). My drink was ok, I thought maybe they mafe it wrong because the latte tasted more diluted with milk than usual (maybe tasted like a chai more than a latte). It was too late to ask for a remake. Anyway I think the fact that the baristas here take your order go make it and then inform another person as the cashier of that you got can cause some confusion on the orders. Service and friendliness of the baristas are great, as always.

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the HBO. Best coffee place ever. Any drink always tastes great, they will make any adjustments for you, always fast and friendly and I love the punch cards of course! Wish there was one in North Salem but maybe I just have to franchise myself to make it happen ;) So much better quality and value than starbucks or Dutch Bros, dont know why anyone with a HB close by wouldnt go there all the time!

The Human Bean is my go to coffee place. Its a shame there is only one in Salem. Its has a great variety and the baristas are always friendly. However the quality on their drinks can vary greatly somedays. It all depends. If you like something different than generic more expensive Starbucks than I would totally try out the Human Bean.

The staff is really nice, but my husbands coffee and my dirty chai both tasted like hot celery stock / very watery vegetable soup. It was a bizarre experience that left us giggling and confused. I wouldnt recommend it for a regular stop, but its definitely an experience.

Amazing coffee and even better service. No matter which Barista makes your coffee its consistently the same which is delicious. All the girls are super sweet and remember your drinks and just overall give amazing customer service which is so hard to find these days.

We moved to Stayton, so rarely get to enjoy their coffee anymore. The staff is always fantastically friendly and the caffeine portions are generous. We still make it a point to go here when were on that side of Salem. The coffee beans are great too!
