I discovered Mushroom when I moved here. And although I do enjoy their sushi (their Chinese food however is below average), I cannot tell you how many times I have been disappointed with their service. A handful of times my order was delivered to me wrong and when I asked for them to change it, they would demand that in order to receive what I had ordered in the first place, I would need to go to them and bring back the wrong order for an exchange. I work from home watching children and leaving the house just isnt possible sometimes, so it infuriates me that they would even suggest such a thing. They also will nickle and dime you for everything as if their sushi pricing isnt already up there. If you want extra ginger, sauce or even brown rice, prepare to pay up to $2.00 more per roll. We frequently would order from them and yet they still showed us no care when we nicely explained to them on certain occasions that our order was wrong. Between a phone operator who refuses to listen properly when youre placing an order, not to mention a staff that never smiles, I have to say that their sushi isnt NEARLY good enough for such a display of poor customer service. I can recommend now a better selection of sushi restaurants in the area that will treat their paying customers properly and whose sushi are either comparable or significantly better. Avoid Mushroom if youre looking for a local sushi restaurant in which youre going to want to order from frequently.

Okay food, but do not treat their customers right. I went there twice. Once I went there and got some food. It was okay, but nothing more than that. A bit overpriced, however. I rated it as average. However, on my second trip, I was very disappointed. I asked for a small change for my order, and they refused. When I said I needed more time, the waitress didnt even bother coming back. We ended up leaving, both from the fact that they wouldnt make the small change, and didnt seem the care. The manager saw us walk out five minutes after coming in, and made no attempt to see what was wrong. I was expecting "Is something wrong", but nothing. This restaurant doesnt care for its customers, and with the plentiful amount of Japanese and Chinese restaurants on Long Island, theres no need to come here. For those who are in the area, I would recommend another restaurant called Fortune Garden that is nearby. Also Chinese/Japanese, but a better value and a MUCH friendlier staff.

My family has been coming here since I was a little boy, (20+ years), and all through growing up I absolutely loved this place, was my favorite Chinese/Japanese cuisine. Im sad to say that over the years the food just hasnt had quite the same quality, and to make matters worse, the owners have become very frugal with everything. The prices went up, they dont include noodles or condiments with anything unless you ask, then they charge you extra. Literally the only place Ive ever seen charge extra for noodles, and thats eat in as well. I dont know if maybe its the economy or what, but unfortunately I am looking to other places these days.

I have been eating sushi here for over 10 yrs and its by far the best sushi spot in the lindenhurst Babylon area. The service is exemplary, the restaurant has recently had a makeover and the decor is warm and welcoming. If you love love sushi this is the spot, everything is very fresh and Ive never had a bad experience. The hibachi experience is also very nice. The Chinese food is delicious especially for takeout. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great sushi especially. Prices are very reasonable.

Horrible service, horrible manager! Had ordered our drinks,appetizers, 3 orders were entered and only 2 came out. When confronted, they asked us do you want it? The order wasnt put in." NO apology, so we asked for the manger. She was VERY rude! She walked away without resolving the problem, NO apology from anybody. So we gave NO TIP! Never EVER to go there again EVER!!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE AND PLACE TO GO!!!!!!

Nasty phone etiquette.I wanted to find out if they were open for Christmas and talked to this extremely rude woman. By the time I got off the phone I didnt want to even give this place the opportunity to have my buisness. Any human being should know that a little kindness goes a long way but this woman obviously does not. Great way to loose potential customers.

We went today and the service was very poor.They also no longer serve noodles while you wait for your food.Since no one ever came to our table except to bring us our food we only gave the waiter a $2.00 tip.As we left he cursed at us in Chinese.VERY POOR SERVICE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!

Good food if you can endore the staffs nasty attitude. Just got off the phone and was refused delivery to my home in west babylon, the same town as their restaurant. Definitely disappointed and I do not feel very welcome or valued

When I first visited, I sat in the dining area and thought the service was fairly poor. However, the sushi chefs at the bar area are friendly and talkative, and are always attentive. I recommend a nice sushi lunch there.

Stale fried soft shell crab for spider roll and fake crab (crab stick) instead of snow crab on Godzilla roll which also had eel that was burnt. A lot of money for bad food. Wendys would have been better and cheaper!

The people here are far from friendly they all have nasty dispositions like they dont feel like serving you and the food is a hit or miss so if you dont feel like wasting money or time dont come here.
