Talk about a fall from grace! This deli has THE WORST customer service and quality control I have ever experienced, anywhere. We used to live around the block(and my wife still works near by), so we were customers for years. But the past few months, they have just fallen apart. We have even had conversations with them about it, and begged them to double check the orders before delivering. If you order for pickup, they almost certainly wont even start your order until you get there. If you order for delivery, triple their delivery time estimate and you still probably wont have food....you will more than likely have to call them to remind them to send it out. And when you get your food, guaranteed something is either missing or totally wrong. We even sent a kid to pick up our food the other day, and when the girl noticed it was the wrong order, the jackass argued with her that it was right and made her take it. Of course it was the wrong order and we had to go back. The only plus side to this place is IF you ever get your food, and IF its what you even ordered, their food is good. Yesterday was the final straw...I called up to order lunch for a few of us, and had to wait 5 minutes while the person whop answered found a pen. Then after placing the order, making him repeat it, explaining our recent bad experiences and asking him to please double check the order before sending it. He said no problem, they will deliver in 30-35 minutes. An hour and 15 minutes later, I called to ask about the food.....they hadnt even sent it yet. And as usual, when the food got there, there were things missing and other things completely wrong, even though the order was clearly written on the receipt that came with the order. All said and done, it was 2 hours to get all our food, my wife missed her opportunity to eat, and had to work all day in the heat without eating anything.

I wish I liked this deli because they deliver to my job and other office workers might realize how valuable a good, delivering deli can be. Sadly Locust Deli is only one of those things, they deliver but nothing is good about the food they bring... burnt, black toast with dirty foul tasting coffee. A stale roll with odd tasting butter which was thrown into the garbage. I can look past human mistakes like missing cheese and even a stale roll, but literally BLACK as ash toast... really? Come on Locust Avenue, you wouldnt feed this garbage to your family. Dont make me PAY for it! Have a little pride in what you make and if you mess up, dont be lazy.. It takes less than a minute to toast some bread. Despicable... This is not my first time to have a poor experience at this place, but it will certainly be my last.

Although the food is decent, the service is HORRIBLE. Our office is only a few blocks away yet it takes 2 hours to get our food and something is always missing. Today we paid by card and it took 4 separate phone calls for the person taking the order to get the numbers right & run the card through correctly. Not to mention an entire persons order was missing COMPLETELY.. On the upside, they added extra saltine crackers for the soup that was SUPPOSED to arrive so at least that held us over until the rest of the order arrived and hour later.. I wish I could leave this review with 0 stars however, google is making me add at least 1 to post it.

Everytime i go to this deli my food is wrong, Only deli i have ever bin too that makes you pay extra for sausage on a hungry man...Today they forgot the bacon, yesterday they forgot too give us one of the egg sandwitches we ordered and we didnt notice untill we got home. live right up the block but it takes them an hour and a half to deliever food on a normal day.

Fast and friendly service. Good food at good prices. EDIT: I went back for the first time in two months and it seems the place may have changed hands. The menus are now on TVs, there are several new faces behind the counter (still friendly, though), and the time it takes to get an order is much longer. I took a star away for that last one.

Deli Time

Horrible. Ham and cheese sandwich, and it had almost no meat on it. There was more cheese than there was ham. Cheese being the cheaper of the two, of course. If they skimp on something as simple as a ham and sandwich, where else are they cutting corners? First time there today...and the last time.

November 14, 2015 Great Catering experience, planned a party 60 people. Local American Legion Hall. Delivery and setup was on time. Food was great and more then enough. I would highly recommend this Deli for your catering needs. Excellent A++++ Thanks So Much.
