Just stopped by this place for lunch. Shameful ! The starters we had were so bad, we decided to cancel the meal, the waitress insisted on us staying and offered our starters for free, I told her that we were not interested to try the food further and told her the food was simply disgusting. She did not seem too bothered and did not object to my comments. We paid our starters but when we got into our car, the "cook"came out, chased us, threatened to call the police, asked us not to come back, would we ever come back ???? He looked so angry and mean, and cooks truly mean disgusting food. This place is to be avoided, the food quality is beyond appalling... and the service is terrible.

This use to be our go-to restaurant. We ate here almost weekly even though the food was moderate and the service was poor but the portions were good and the prices fair and decor very good. BUT of recent the prices went SKY HIGH the portions got small, the food got, at times, terrible and we no longer eat here. Such a shame to see a restaurant go into such a decline! Its a management problem that could be corrected and I implore them to go back to the portion sizes that they use to have, put into place a little quality control and drop their prices a bit so expectations arent so high.

Its really too bad its some of the worst service in the Woodstock area. The food is ok, but… On a date with my fiancé recently, my food arrived 10 minutes before hers, by the time her food arrived, mine was cold. My beer glass was dirty. Last summer, I witnessed a waitress cleaning a table outside with the left over water from a glass a client had not finished. Lovely. Not friendly waitressing staff is fine, rude is something else. Vote with your dollars, dont go there.

Great American-style Chinese food for the area, and you cant beat the beautiful setting. Reasonably priced for dining in, though its definitely not a cheap take-out spot if youre looking for that (they do take-out, its just not cheap!) We love the scallion pancake, eggplant with garlic sauce and the soup with chewy rice cakes. I think its best to stick to the normal Cantonese dishes and have found that most things on the specialties menu are underwhelming and overpriced.

The food was horrible. The shrimp in the coconut shrimp tasted rotten and when we informed the server she said we were wrong because it just arrived that day. The scallion pancake was great, but our entrees were disgusting. Orange chicken = big hunks of deep fried flour with almost no chicken and doused in a sickeningly sweet gloopy sauce. All this accompanied by a rude server and the sounds of employees screaming at each other. Steer clear of this place.

6 pm and its a hot night. No AC, good thing the hosts of the UCWN brought some of their own fans! We were served family style, sauted vegetables, cous-cous and beef, lamb and chicken kebobs. Personally I never tasted any lamb but everything was very tasty and the meats were tender. Nice space, worth a try to see what the regular menu is like.

My wife and I had an interesting experience. We ordered a round of the fried tofu... it was well over cooked and tasted sour and dried out at best. We ordered the Mongolian Lamb, and it was just, okay. Our waiter ignored us the entire time, except when it came to presenting us the check. Not sure what just happened...?

Having traveled a lot in Asia - particularly China - I can say that the Little Bear restaurant has one of the best Chinese cuisines in the USA that I have tasted. Furthermore, the prices are very moderate - perhaps one of the less expensive places to eat in Woodstock. A delight! and overlooking a beautiful stream.

We took out super picky 4 year old here for dinner. She devoured the wonton soup. I got a chewy rice cake soup and found it to be addictive and my husband has been talking about their cold noodles all day. We are going back there today for lunch! Fantastic, home made food that my mom would make if she was Chinese!

$13.55 for a small, single-serving takeout of orange chicken with soggy broccoli that was NOT the best orange chicken I ever had for that price. Highway robbery! Very impersonal service anymore too. Kind of on the rude/abrupt side. Ive just spent my last dollar there, thats for sure.

Sitting stream-side with friends and family eating delicious Chinese food which tastes "clean" (delicious and fresh, not swimming in a sauce) is a great way to spend a weekend evening, but make a reservation as this place gets busy!!!!

Cheap bite, good for Chinese food in the area but that isnt saying much. Nice atmosphere, on the water seating. Service is stiff, tea is good. Recommend only if a big fan of Chinese take out.

I like it. The food seems to me to be of high quality, the service is functional but not friendly, and they do everything pretty well. Nothing is stellar but everything is OK

The food is standard Americanized Chinese fare in small, overpriced portions. The furnishings are beautiful but does not make the food taste any better.

I find Little Bear cozy & relaxing. The food is authentic and consistently good. Im also a big fan of take out here which is hard to find in Woodstock

too expensive for your average "Asian" eatery. The food is passable.
