This is going to be a cursory review because I visited this place a month ago. But even though it was a long time ago, I vivdly remember the problems I encountered after my visit. Atmosphere and Aesthetic: Looked like a generic Chinese buffet place, but nothing really to complain about. All the food was in the center of the building so every customer got a chance to get what they wanted. Food: The food itself was below mediocre. Sushi was disgusting. Some of the hot plates were flavorless, dry, and/or swimming in grease. The selection of the ingredients for the hot pot was lacking. The hibachi grill was unmanned and lacked food. Not to mention that some, if not a majority of the foods in the entire restaratunt were mislabelled, even for the fountain drinks (I got a cup full of ginger ale to only find that it was sparkling water)! There were also drinks that had Chinese labels but no English translation. The only thing I couldnt complain about was the ice cream. Maintenece and cleanliness: It was a hell hole when I went here as dishes and utensils were NON-EXISTENT! there is supposed to be a table that would have all the bowls, utensils, cups and everything needed to eat at a restaurant, but that table was empty. The employees didnt even know what was going on. Unfortunately (or interestingly) my party was seated next to the kitchen door (which was loud and just an obnoxious place to be next to). But Everytime that door opened, there were PILES of unclean dishes on the table and floor of the sink. The situation got so dire that we noticed an employee washing dishes right outside of the door in a tub, right next to our table. The section for condiments and sauces was located exactly where the dishes were supposed to be and that station was not maintained at all. The food trays for the buffet faced the same ignorance as different foods were mixed in with each other. The bathroom itself didnt look too bad, until I went to wash my hands (youll see the picture). I was disgusted. Service: To be honest, with everything I said, I dont blame the servers for the atrocities listed above. Instead, I commend them for what they were trying to do. It was a busy day and this restaraunt recently opened. With the customers obviously looking disappointed and angry, the employees kept their cool and did their best to help everyone and run the infrastructuretructure in the background. All in all, it was one of my worst restaraunt experiences. From my night there, I wouldnt recommend it to my friends at all. But there is potential. It just seems a change in management can unlock a different future...

First of all - if you are not a hotpot crazy fan or just want to try some Chinese-style food, this will be a good place. They provide with a plenty kinds of food. All kind of tofu or tofu-made food could be found in the bar. Sausages and fish balls are also provided. However they only have sliced lamb and beef, without the specific category like leg or bone meat. Also all the meat seems like to have been frozen for months, not so fresh. And the frozen tofu is too solid, and the roll of dried tofu strips have a strange smell like what comes out from your uncleaned fridge, but it could also be the problem of the hotpot itself. -2 star if you are a crazy hotpot fan, like me. They also have many kinds of pot soup, including classic, spicy, half-and-half, also Thai-style, or Tomato. However they did not realize a serious problem with it: the soup tastes not cooked with the spices they put inside. I think they might only use hotpot seasoning bought from market, and put some random spices into it. The result is that after like half an hour your soup becomes tasteless, which is not a good experience. -1 star for all hungry customers. One great thing about this restaurant is the diversity of food. As I did not mentioned, they also provide with teppanyaki food. You could choose food and ask the cook to make it for you. I did not have a chance to try it, but Ive seen many customers go there just for the teppanyaki, so I assume its good. There are also sushi, and fruits provided. +1 star if you want to try something more than hotpot And the primary reason I recommend this place and give 4 star is the price. $21.90 for non-weekend dinners, and I dont know why they give me a 10% discount... Well. All inside! Including seasoning, drink, fruit, sushi, and everything inside. No other charges. Great price, and it deserves. +1 star if you want to save some money. Overall, this is a place you want to try, at least for once and then make decision. Hope that you could get a good eating experience in it.

Visited for dinner on 6/18/17 - Food quality was great however, severely understaffed. There is only one self serve soda machine which was empty on all flavors. There were no dishes to plate your buffet ingredients. Tables were left uncleaned well after a table has finished and departed. When paying the bill, it was a mission to find a waiter to cash me out. I had to go to the front and wait several minutes for a hostess to process my payment, even though I could have easily left without paying.

Its a good idea to have the choice of individual pot & big shared pot. The $25 for weekend dinner charge is fair... Soup base choices are also plenty.. Food materials are also plenty and of good quality. From a customer view, Ill say its worthy of your bucks... Pretty crowded recently. I can see that Rutgers Chinese students come here more & more...

I like the idea of personal pot and they have a huge variety of seafood for hot pot. A lot of people needed explanation of what hot pot is so I understand why some are giving it 1-2 stars. You would get your moneys worth if you came in mainly for hot pot and not hibachi or Chinese food buffet.

I like the hot pot here. Self service means lots of selections without any restrictions. Food quality is good, and seafoods are fresh in general. If the price for kids can come down a little, I definitely will give a 5 star. I would recommend this place to any friend that loves hot pot.

Sign outside said 16.95, went during lunch time, was def charged at least 20+per person without tip, but overall an ibteresting take on AYCE hot pot/sushi/hibachi grill, the sushi was limited on whatever the chef made because they dont take orders

Great concept, I love hot pot so much and I was looking for this kind of place all the time. The buffet has everything I want, and I can enjoy my little pot as well! Great place!

Place was clean, the staff was ice and the Wi-Fi was easy to connect. The food, however, was one, tasteless, two, lacking in vegetarian opinions, and three, lacking in deserts.

I found this place to be way more expensive then it should be. It is not better then the buffet in south plainfield and it is double the price. The food was decent.
