The pizza is good. Theyre so simply made, they really cant be messed up. The staff is generally good. But when it comes to pick up....Today, they gave one guys pizza to another customer. Then, one mumbling worker handed me two pizzas--I let him know Id only ordered one. So, based on this and past experiences, they need to work on being more organized once the pizzas are cooked and ready for pick up. --Update 8/2/17. I went in there today after work. Strangely the place was pretty empty. Before I ordered, I asked if they had bags for the pizzas. I was told yes. So I ordered, waited to pay (as they seemed short-staffed). Then I asked for a bag. The cashier said something about the bag not being big enough for the pizza. I explained I was told they had the larger bags. (Id been shopping and needed to have a bag for the pizza to get it and my other bags on the bus.) I paid. And then asked the pizza maker if there were large bags. The cashier then yells across the store to another worker, "She keep talking about she was here before and they gave her a large bag." The "she" was me, and she sounded so ignorant. I told her as much. You just dont talk about a customer that way. Especially in front of the customer. She didnt seem to know better, poor thing. Talking like shes hanging out on her front stoop or something. Then another worker appeared and simply handed me a large bag. Simple All that nonsense for a bag. That cashier turned a simple thing into an event, in a very low-class way. So Im done with Blaze Pizza. Today was simply stupid. I dont spend my $ where people dont know how to treat customers. Or dont know what a large bag is. Duh.

Excellent location! Right next to Starbucks if you want some coffee to go with (which I always do), not to mention a very pretty location (prudential has done a great job of making the area look green despite being in the heart of brick city). I love the pizza here. its a choose-your-own-toppings type of place, and the pies are crazy cheap. Theres only one available size, which is less of an issue than youd think, its just about 12-14" I think. The toppings themselves are always fresh and delicious as well (no wilted veggies here!) The staff are very upbeat and kind, and the managers are pretty sharp. One downside is that the music is always distracting loud, but thats not a problem if youre stuffing your face the whole time. Sadly they dont deliver, but you cant have everything I guess.

Man, this place is the BOMB!! Delicious pie with unlimited toppings on a thin crust for just under $9 bucks. Has a unique taste, much better than Dominos or Pizza hut. Only draw backs are... they only offer one size and the unique lemonade they offer, Im not a fan, so I opt for the regular fountain drinks. Ate there numerous times and noticed the staff is friendly and professional. The manager (Gus) walked around and asked customers whether they enjoyed their pizza? I thought that was engaging and great customer service. Located in the heart of downtown, across from Military Park and next to the Nike store, you gotta check out BLAZE PIZZA because its "HOT" and "ON FIRE"! Bravo!!! FIVE STARS!!

On my honeymoon with my bride. We are at Newark on a flight layover, we stopped in for supper. The food was awesome. It was the least greasy pizza I have ever had. The people were nice. There was homeless man that came in two different times while we were there (thats Newark). He basically saw some out of towners and he tried saying anything that would make us give him something. I felt bad, but I also knew he was trying to take advantage of us. We give a lot to charity, and we arent well off or anything, but we do not like to be taken advantage of. My point is that their staff knew the guy by name and within 30 seconds were at our table very calmly escorting the man out. They were great.

I have been to Blaze 3 times and every times the employees are extremely rude and super unfriendly. They make you feel unwelcomed and as if they are doing you a huge favor. The only nice person there is the guy who greets you and asks for your name and order. Other then that as you continue down the line it seems to get ruder and ruder as you go even the cashier has an attitude problem. The pizza is not that great. The thin crust is usually burnt and tastes burnt. I then tried the high rise, there is nothing high about the high rise since it still looks very thin. Also, i got my pie and some of the ingredients were not cooked properly. Terrible service, horrible employees and crappy pizza.

Awesome experience today. Fridays are super busy and we threw a monkey wrench in and went in and ordered 15 different pizzas for the office right at Noon. Sorry! I have to say we were treated splendidly by the manager and the workers. Each station along the way we received smiles and that guy at the end of the line doing all that slicing, matching orders and boxing had an outstanding attitude. He was all smiles and so nice to every customer. I have been here a few times before and I certainly will be back. Thanks for the delicious food and service with a smile.

Ive been to this location 3 times and each time the staff is so nice and pleasant...even at 10:30am when i pick up my lunch before going to the office. Today I had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Guy, who made a great pizza. He was assisted by Bryant, Quetta and Sean....all of whom were great as usual! I love this place! Its nice and clean (yayyy!) and the pizza is delish! Thanks to everyone who works there for making Blaze pizza a comfortable and appealing place to eat in our great city of Newark! ...i think I might even go back tomorrow :)

This was my first time at Blaze Pizza. The set up was convenient, and the food was made quickly. I liked the alternative drink options, as they carried more than just Coke products. That being said, I felt sick after eating one of the pizzas (the vegetarian option). The menu describes the options as creative, but many of the combinations lack ingenuity. The service was average, and the Subway setup confusing to the customer and staff. Check the menu first to see if this is right for you, but the cheap price may be enough for some.
