From now on, This place will be my next morning stop for my weekly dose of steak for breakfast. Fairly priced menu, and steak with the mushrooms and onion rings- soo good! I used to be regular at metuchen diner but will not come back anymore since metuchen diner significantly increased their prices. At metuchen diner, i used to order steak and 3 eggs for $14.99, and to my surprise at the time of this writing, they increased it to $19.99... heartbreaking...

This long-established Edison eatery is perfect for an inexpensive diner breakfast. But theres one real reason to go there -- the SOUP. Worth every penny, those homemade soups bring me to EFR every time someone in the house is sick, or the weather is cold, or Im just craving split pea, matzo ball, chicken noodle, or any other number of delicious flavors. Take 4 quarts home for $20 and thank me later.

This place is horrible , the pancakes arent homemade they use Aunt Jemimas pancake mix & water , yes I know because they told me. The home fries had no type of flavor what so ever, they use artificial eggs just like any other restaurant. Also our waitress was rude & their management sucks obviously get everything else on the money but your average breakfast food.

Their soups are the best around. Love the variety of pancakes and they add new ones often. Weve had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. Out of me and my 5 kids (19yo to 5yo) weve never had bad food here. The only thing that makes me uncomfortable are the booth seats. So old and sunken.

I am not sure how I missed this little gem of a place. Dont be intimidated by the place ALWAYS being jam packed! The food is sooooo worth it. Plenty of ladies on hand and always asking if they can get you anything. The soups are delicious!!! Fast, Friendly Service!!

If you see a lot of seniors in a place like this it tells you there has to be some good food. Hard to find good small restaurants like this now in days. Very busy location, fresh food, coming back for breakfast as the menu looks awesome.

Very good food get there early if you want breakfast though as they stop severing at 11 Monday thru Friday some breakfast items are sold thru 12 but not many. Friendly staff service is fast but again depending on when you go.

Whenever we visit my grandmother, we come here. Good food and fast service. Their soups are awesome and I always have to order their sweet potato fries. Only problem is the parking lot. Good luck finding a spot.
