It is a very small mom and pop chain originating out of Arkansas. I originally ate at the Little Rock location--it was amazing! They mentioned they had a location "up north", so I asked where and they mentioned Cherry Hill. I knew I had to do the taste test and compare if it is even comparable. It tastes exactly the same. 6 different sauces to push everyones taste buds. I had the 1/2 chicken and my wife had the ribs. She is very skeptical of BBQ joints, but she loved her plate. Service was fast. Yes, there are only like 6 or 7 sides, but they arent winning awards for sides. I think the potato salad is good with baked beans. Definitely worth a try. Also, most importantly, its BYOB. I found that out after I arrived. They have bottle openers on the sides of the booths. Prices are a little high (9 bucks a plate). The wife said shell never eat Famous Daves again. Hope this review helps. Good eating.

When they first opened in Cherry Hill they were my new favorite rib spot. Not so much lately. I cant believe these recent reviews. Three months ago I had the worst order of ribs at this place. They were dry and charred. I had decided never to return. I returned today as I had a taste for ribs and I was in the neighborhood. I figured maybe last time was a fluke. This time would be different. They were worst. Dry and over cooked. 4 of 8 ribs were not edible. They had ran out of racks when just before I got my order so maybe they were old and sitting. Never again will I return. If you believe these other reviews and give them a try at least check your ribs before you leave. Mine were terrible.

The staff was incredibly friendly, so they should be commended for working in a place with close to no business. The best food that was there was the packaged crackers, which I used to get the after taste out of my mouth. When getting food, I would at least like it appearing fresh and maybe perhaps, a bit of steam coming it. Im pretty sure we had beef jerky on a plate with some heated up Bob Evans mac n cheese. Everything was dry enough to the point where I took it home so I could use it as sandpaper. Again, I commend your super friendly staff, as least something was worth the visit We are Chefs by profession.Owners need to be vigilare3

I got a pic of our slop. Not even a minute after we sat down, our food was right there served on red trays and black plastic plates that were divided 3 ways. The reviews on here have to be inside and ppl whove never had bbq. Maybe this place was good at one time, but now is crap. Been eating bbq for years now and one thing i learned, if theres no smoke ring eat at ur own disgression. My brisket looked like pot roast. My dad says, "if theres no cars outside, theres a reason why." And he even got a new learning lesson for himself as to why no cars are outside.

Just bad barbecue. Other reviews have never been so correct for bad reviews before. There is a reason no one is there around dinner time. The meat is dry. The cornbread and brisket was barely heated. The sides were mediocre at best. Just. Awful. I couldnt even get through a bit of the cornbread :(. On the plus side the cashier taking my order had a lot of energy for the restaurant, and I use that term loosely, being empty. She was super friendly and I commend her for her service. The Volcano sauce helped me get through half my order.

I lived in Little Rock for 10 years where I was able to have Whole Hog BBQ anytime I wanted - which was all the time. They are not what I would call a Mom and Pop operation - these guys spent years on the BBQ circuit honing their craft. We moved to PA in 2009 and tried every BBQ joint within 100 miles - nothing even came close. Then in 2013 Chris opened the Cherry Hill location and even though its just over an hour from where I live, it is worth the drive to once again have what I think is the best BBQ in NJ/PA.

Whole Hog Café is a very nice BBQ restaurant with greater potential. Its closest competition is directly down the street. What makes me give it 3 stars is there limit of "sides" selection. No mac&cheese, corn bread, hush puppies, or green beans. Im picky to potato salad and I really dont like mayonnaise, so even though their version seemed to be too much mayonnaise in my opinion...its actually good. This place is new and will probably add more to the menu from what I hear. I say its a good place to try.

Stopped in for take out for dinner. OMG my family loved it! Everything is slow cooked with a the best smokey flavor. The ribs were meaty yet fell off the bone. The half chicken was my favorite, it was smoky and moist. They gave me 3 different side sauces to try, the #3 was spicy with a vinegar flavor - to die for. Though the sides are very simple, they were all simply delicious, especially the baked beans, cole slaw and the best corn bread anywhere. I will be making this a regular stop.

My pulled chicken n pork were so dry. Like other reviews mentioned I would love to see my food with steam or at least looked hot. My husbands brisket n sausage were good tho. The brisket was moist n sausage was flavorful. I ended up eating out of my husbands plate. I rated this place with 3 stars cos the staffs were very friendly n my husbands food was ok. BTW with BBQ chicken it would be nice to offer dark or white meat n pulled or whole part. Pulled breast chicken is so dry.

The types off barbecue sauce available were very good but the food itself was mediocre at the very best, the meet was dry and clumpy, the frys were okay... But I guess my main problem is they self proclaim to be BBQ but they dont... Theirs a difference between BBQ and just smoking meat. To BBQ you have to glaze the meat while its cooking to make sure it absorbes the flavour... Giving me a choice of sauces and making me dump it on my food is not true barbecueing.

I consider myself a BBQ fancier. Final meal someday will be brisket beans corn bread and cobbler. The meat awesome straight off the plate. 7 sauces that Im aware of number 6 a mustard sauce that was just incredible. I surely recommend anyone looking for great barbecue and service. This is barbecue dont expect white tablecloths and fancy seating its about the food. they even have a coke freestyle machine. They just need a homemade fresh cobbler

This was the best barbecue place Ive been too. When they say "World Champion BBQ" they mean it. The building is very nice inside with plenty of seating including the private catering room which look awesome. The food was also very good. Especially their pulled pork. Whenever I go to a BBQ place, I always order pulled pork, and this is, by far, the best Ive had. This is a new place, but I hope they succeed as they have a great product.
