Even with a Groupon discount making a dozen of these cost only $18 it was NOT worth the cost... They were all stale and tastes like they had set on the counter display drying out for 2 days before being sold.. If I would had paid the "advertised" price of almost $40 for these and not even my 6yo & 10yo would eat them because of how stale they are; I would have thrown them on the store front window.. I purchased this deal because I had a great experience about 4 or 5 years ago with a few larger cupcakes. Clearly, its gone downhill and I will never buy them again.. Not even for free.

Went in twice to get cupcakes for friends of mine on their birthday. Two different days but same time. Each time the cupcakes was dry and didnt taste good. I called after the second time to let them know what I thought and was given a excuse that coming in after 2:30 that the cupcakes will be dry sitting that long. No apologies no nothing. If Im going to pay that much for a cupcake then they better be good. The staff was friendly when I was in the store and the cupcakes looked pretty though.

We ordered cupcakes for my son and everything looked and tasted great until I found a hair baked into the cupcake I was eating. I understand that this type of thing can happen from time to time, but the response I received from the manager when I called was even more disappointing. He did not apologize or demonstrate any empathy...He even went so far as to ask me what the hair looked like. Because of his poor response to my concerns, we will not be using them again.

Gave this place a second chance...still disappointing. The chocolate cupcake had very little flavor, the frosting was bland and fake tasting. The worst part, was the actual cupcake. The top edge that wasnt covered in awful frosting, was rock hard and the rest was dry and unappealing. The quality is not up to par with the pricing. Very disappointed. I make better chocolate cake.

My mom had a baby shower cake made here and it was FANTASTIC! I picked out strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting and everyone was impressed with the density of the cake and the flavor of it all together. They even used a picture of our nursery theme to make our cake match! I wish I could post a photo, it was adorable. I cant wait to get more goodies from them.

I paid $40 dollars for a cake that I picked up today and it was decorated okay and mostly how I wanted it but the actual red velvet cake was so dry nobody wanted to eat it. And I feel like for $40 it should have been way better than a Walmart or Hy-Vee $20 cake but now I wish I would have went to Hy-Vee or Walmart and ordered it. Definitely not impressed.

Delicious cupcakes!!! This little shop makes everything from scratch. Their cupcakes are the traditional cupcake pan size. They are the perfect size for those moments when you need a sweet treat. No matter the flavor you choose, they will melt in your mouth and are a treat youll find yourself craving! The staff is extremely friendly and hospitable.

Absolutely fantastic service! I called from the UK to place my order for my American friends birthday and not only did they accommodate my additional requests, my friend said the cupcakes were absolutely delicious. Pluses-Big cupcake size, liked the fudge, staff was friendly and helpful. But we cant rave about the cupcakes, especially for the price. We try all these little bakeries we come across, but unfortunately, the cupcakes wont bring us back to this one.

We have used Star Cakes for birthday cakes, cupcakes and our wedding cake/cupcakes. They are fantastic to work with and produce beautiful and delicious treats at a more reasonable price than some in town. I would recommend!

Its ok. Compared to alexandris cupcakes which is almost right next door though they just dont compare. Cupcakes are smaller, they cost more, dont taste as good. Its an ok treat but at $2.60 each they could do better
