Horrible service! Horrible manager, extremley rude! Food Ok AT BEST. We went there on a Wednesday night a few weeks ago, myself, my parents, my sister and her husband and daughter. We arrived in two shifts and apparently it took awhile for my parents and sister to get their drink order taken. Took even longer to actually get the drinks. My brother in law and I ordered drinks... and gain a long wait to get them. When finally got our drinks we asked about ordering food but our waitress said she would be right back....another long wait. Finally we had our order taken. Drinks were 2 for 1 so we all had two and by this time were were either empty or almost there so we ordered another round. For the rest of the meal we simply ordered another round when they delivered the drinks, this is how long it took to get drinks as we were by no means slamming beers here. Food wise we had ordered an appetizer which never seemed like it was coming. When I asked the waitress about our app she said she would check and magically she returned right away with our now cold appetizer, thus the food starts out unimpressive. For the 3 year old we ordered the Mac N Cheese off of the kids menu. If you have a child DONT order this unless your 3 year old has refined taste. Its simply a smaller version of their adult mac n cheese with smoked gouda in it. My niece was not eating it so we tried it, this one in fact not only had smoked gouda but whatever else they put in it was horrible, it was sour. My guess is they used bad cream or milk in it but it was absolutely bad. We brought up both points to the waitress she didnt seem to care. They did take it off of our bill eventually. Also did I forget to mention that it was about 97 degrees outside and while they only had some of the patio doors open basically it was about 85 degrees in the corner of the restaurant furthest from the patio and about 94 in the bar area. They need to take a serious look at the AC in this place, it was horrible in there. Then our first credit card of my parents was rejected. My mother gave another baffled by this and the second came back rejected. Both cards are clear and should have gone no problem. They then said the internet is down. So another 20 minutes goes by... we are now 3 hours into what should have been about an hour dinner max. We want to just leave but the manager has our credit card trying to run it. We go over to the bar where he is and this nimwit is just swiping the card over and over and over again. This guy was a piece of work.... I cant use the words I would like to describe the rudeness and attitude of this guy. They inform me that the internet is down adding that its down in all of MN and has been most of the day. Yep real piece of work, you see I work on a computer on the internet and had been all day long including right up till I left a house in Apple Valley to drive to this place. I aske why not use the manual card reader and be done with it, they cant find it... guess you should look for it then. Again this guy bothered me to the point I will never go back. Oh by the way even with the "downed internet" they did get the card to go through but had to split it into 2 separate runs of half the amount each time for some reason. I wont be back, my parents wont be back, my sisters family wont be back. No apologies from the manager when we mentioned the horrible service and slowness, just more excuses. Its as if they just dont care. This is the 3rd or 4th restaurant to be in this building and I wont be sad at all if it has the same fate as the previous ones as it appears to be managed similar to the previous ones. There are other much better Non big chain restaurants in Apple Valley. My parents will be going back to their favorite and reliable Rascals and Ill be going back to my favorite Panino Brothers. Id recommend Wild Bills over this place, service is far better.

My husband and I went here twice. Once on a Sunday night, a little later probably closer to 8:30-9 pm, on my birthday (service and food was great, there also was like 5 tables total, so it was not busy at all.) and once today during the Vikings game. Initially it wasnt busy. Maybe 5 people at the bar, 4 tables in the hightop bar section and maybe 6 tables out on the patio, as well as a few in the restaurant area. With at least 6 servers, a hostess, and bartender it was well staffed. That being said, our service was AWFUL. We got our drinks as asked for MAYBE a couple minutes. 15 minutes later our server finally made it back to take our order. We got the pretzels as an app, and boy was that a HUGE mistake. They are hard chewy and dry, the thin soupy "cheese" sauce is awful as is their honey mustard. (If you dont like horseradish.) I agree with the previous poster, go to Granite City if you want better pretzels. Or a movie theater, or the freezer section at the grocery store for the ones you microwave at home, even those are better than the stuff they served us. Both times I loved their french fries, they are reminiscent of the State Fair fries! I got the Blistering Hipster burger, and I LOVE spicy food and it was too much for me to handle all at once. It was good though! As long as you dont mind crying and having to blow your nose 15 times, stop eating until the pain in your mouth subsides... (I dont mind.) I look forward to the leftovers, my husband was underwhelmed with the regular Tap House Burger with cheddar and ate less than half of it before giving up from trying to force feed himself. The patio doors were wide open, which posed another issue. Flies, bees, and wind blowing cigarette smoke in from the patio. Not what we wanted to deal with. We definitely would wait until a time of day they do NOT have those doors (They are sliding doors along the entire length of a wall, so the bar area is basically missing a wall.) wide open. My word of advice? Stick with the specialties, the pit beef and pit pork. I got the Thai one the time before and was blown away with how awesome it was and my husband got a different pit pork with coleslaw on it, and loved his. Do not expect stellar service, though there are some awesome servers. We tipped our first one $10 because of his attentiveness to our beverages, which seems to be an issue at most restaurants. Beware of the apps. I doubt we will ever buy another appetizer from there again.

Drove FORTY MINUTES to attend tonights trivia night, only to be given the worst service Ive experienced from a waiter/waitress. Upon entering the establishment, my wife and I sat with another couple, who we are friends with. When our waiter ( Sara S ) arrived to our table, I ordered a beer, which was exceptional and my wife ordered cheese curds, which were edible. Now usually, your waiter/waitress should come back to your table after the first sip/first few bites and ask how the food is, to make sure you are satisfied... we got none of that from our waitress. After my beer, I asked the waitress if I could order a mixed drink. She responded by rolling her eyes and saying, "well yea.." I asked our waitress if I could get a Jack Daniels & Coke, the waitress didnt even acknowledge my request, she just walked away without a word. A few moments later, she came back with my drink. Let me just put this out there... Jack Daniels and Coke is my favorite drink, so I know how it should taste and how it should be made.. it doesnt take an astronaut to be able to make this drink. Anyways, she came back with the drink, placed it on the table and walked away, again, without saying anything. After trying the first sip of my drink, it did not taste like Jack Daniels & Coke, it only tasted like Jack Daniels. At this point, I waited calmly until she made her way towards my table. When I asked her to add more Coke, she rolled her eyes, but took the drink, coming back after a short moment with the drink. After the second try, it now tasted like watered down Jack Daniels, as if water was added to my drink. This time, I brought it to the bar tender and asked him to remake my drink because there didnt seem to be any Coke added in it, once my waitress heard me asking for a remake, she rudely said, "what, the first one wasnt good enough"? I didnt mind the issues with the taste of the drink as much as I minded how I was treated by my waitress, had her service been better, I wouldnt have made such a big deal about the drink. Like I said, my wife and I drove 40 minutes to have a fun night and a few drinks but instead we received by far the worst service out of all the restraunts/bars we visit. Was the food good? For the most part. Were the drinks good? For the most part. Was the service good? No, not at all. Will we be back? Not sure, probably not.
