Overall the experience was disappointing. Our lunch started off on the right foot, good beer and fantastic drinks but thats where things took a turn despite being one of three tables in the place. I ordered the meatloaf, which while the sliver of meatloaf was good, the potatoes lacked any sort of seasoning, garlic, rosemary, in the least they could have been salted a little. The Cesar salad was good but Im not sure it was worth a $12 plate. My fiancee ordered the falafal sandwich which sounded good on paper. The sandwich came out and the chips and pickle were very good but again, the falafal wasnt seasoned, at all. There was a lot of tzatziki sauce on the sandwich as well. Needless to say my fiancee didnt eat more than a couple bites. The waitress never came back to ask us how everything was even when I was halfway through my meal when she dropped off the check and ran before anything could be said. When she came back a little while later to ask about drinks we ordered another round while my fiancee tried to pick apart the sandwich to find something she liked and the waitress never asked about our food. Finally we pay and the waitress asks us if we want to wrap it up, which both of us replied no. Still no question as to why both of us didnt want a sandwich with only three bites taken out of it. I know we should have called her over and complained ourselves but on the other hand it would have been nice to be asked if our food was okay at some point during our lunch. I would like to give dinner a try in the future but I know if I do, it will be without my financee.

Wedding Lunch - This review might be a little different, but I hope it will shed some light on what a versatile establishment the Deadhorse Hill restaurant really is. The Scene: My now husband and I decided we were just going to have a small wedding ceremony in Worcester, MA and then bring our family (25 in total) out to lunch. Keep it easy, keep it stress free. I reached out to Deadhorse hill about 6 weeks before our wedding date. Sean was very helpful in assuring us that they’d be able to accommodate us. His enthusiasm was appreciated. The Lead Up: Julia emailed with me back and fourth a number of times to set a menu. They were very open to new ideas, and we did throw a few items in that weren’t on the normal evening menu. Julia was very helpful in getting the details nailed down. She even had “Congratulations Zach & Jess” printed on our menus. Chef Jared creates some amazing meals and we were excited that they were so flexible. The Day: Everything went perfectly. The servers and bartender were very attentive and made themselves available the entire time. The food was fantastic, our families aren’t people who tend to venture out from the normal chain restaurants. They were raving about the food and drinks. The drink menu has something for everyone. Even a month later they’re still talking about how great lunch was. The entire event went seamlessly and we couldn’t have been happier. Deadhorse Hill were timely with their communication and executed a fantastic wedding lunch for us. We’ll be lifelong customers.

Friday at 6:30 with no reservations for two, eating here is expensive. You need to use paid parking at $10 to $15. Tip: make reservations. Hostess said all tables were reserved. Told space available at bar. Plenty of tables never filled throughout our mealtime. We left at 8:00 when it should have been jammed. Service at bar top notch, but exotic entrees were pricey. $26-$38. Equally exotic appetizers are $12-14. Odd for very casual dining. Told that food comes from local farmers and is organic generating the price tags. Was food tasty? I am known for not being a fussy eater & enjoy creative dishes, but I was disappointed with my tough lamb chops atop good tasting black rice.

lunch recently, smallish, very busy place near the courthouse on main street, attractive decor, large from windows and a beautiful maple bar, area is right side breakfast menu items and kitchen (open) and left side a long bar and other seating, drinks were very good, rubin sandwich was wonderful, home made fries very good as was the beet salad with a side of chicken salad, menu is short so you might want to take a peek before going and the dinner prices seem to escalate quite a bit.....service was excellent, nice place, very good food, pleasant service, glad we tried it!!!

I heard another patron say to one of the owners "thanks for coming to Worcester". That captures the sentiment exactly. Funky, creative, and delicious cocktails pair perfectly with the menu of wholy original dishes. My favorite dish so far has been the Softshell Crab Cantonese, followed at a close second by the Ribs. Luckily I went to dinner with four people and we had an excuse to order all four desserts on the menu which were all made from scratch in house. From my own experience I would have to +1 the comment I overheard. Thanks for coming to Worcester deadhorse hill.

Phenomenal from start to finish. Brad is honestly the most knowledgeable bar tender Ive ever had the pleasure of sitting in front of. We threw inhibition to the wind and placed our evening in his hands from drinks to food. ... all selections were at his discretion and exceeded any and all expectations. We also had the privilege of meeting one of the owners (Sean) who with a gracious attitude, humbly introduced himself as bar tender/dishwasher/server. If you havent been to deadhorse hill, you must make it a priority. We will certainly be back.

Deadhorse offers a small but diverse menu for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The menu changes often enough such that locals can return somewhat frequently without repetition. The drinks are great. I feel that the service and the food quality are slipping since Deadhorse first opened. My last two meals were meat dishes which were very carelessly prepared. Both times, the cut was 90% uninterrupted fat. The waitstaff seemed pretty indifferent.

One of the best start-to-finish meal experiences Ive had, and by far the best Ive had in Worcester! The softshell crab Cantonese was incredible. Even the house made sourdough with Maldon salt sprinkled on the butter was perfect. We went on the second day Deadhorse Hill was opened; the food and service were each so flawless, its as if it had already been there for years, and we were just late to discover it. Cant wait to go back.

Great food, great people, great atmosphere! Favorite place to go in our area now. The service is impeccable and make you feel so comfortable. The owner goes out of his way to make sure your night is going well. The server we had was amazing and knew every detail of the menu and drinks. The menu is always changing and the drink are different but delicious! Will always recommend this place! Definitely a hidden gem in Worcester!!

What an experience. The food here is outstanding, prices are steep but the quality of the food is well worth it. If you are looking for a special meal then you will find it here. Besides dinner, we recently enjoyed lunch here and the selections were top notch as well. The Chicken Parm sandwich was to die for and the Italian was outstanding as well. There are baked goods and coffee all day long. Try it youll like it!
