The food was over priced and there was no quality control. My wife ordered a volcano rool and it was supposed to have spicy scallops on top and there wasnt one single scallop to be found. I ordered a Kani Salad to start and it was blan and boring. It was cucumber and imitation crab meat and it had no taste. This was our second time to try this plce because we thought maybe the first time was just a bad day for them, but nope... it was still bad. I talked to the manager and explained my issues with the food and he tried to make excuses. We tried telling him that weve ordered the Volcano roll from other places and weve always had scallops visible on top of the roll but he insisted that this was just different. This was different alright. Well never go back. I think other pople that like this place have either never experienced good Asian food, theyre uncultured or they have very low standards. Dont waste your money here!!!

I place this one star review after being served RAW chicken and management not caring at all and telling me "this happens sometimes". Since only a few pieces of my chicken were undercooked and pink in the center, this place did not want to refund my money and I had to argue for quite a while to finally get a refund. Its a shame because the food here is quite great and Ive been a customer for the past few months. A friend of mine was over when I ordered takeout one night and told me to never order from Tulip again as they used to be a server there and they said they never wash their glasses or plates with soap, they just wipe them down. I didnt believe it at first, but after seeing how they reacted with serving a customer raw chicken (like it was a normal thing that didnt matter at all) I wish I would have listened to him.

Great restaurant. There are two options. If you want Hibachi then you should make reservations. We only went to the Hibachi twice since they have opened. Its a good night out. The regular dining is good as well. My wife and I usually go there every Friday night with 2 to 6 people. My only problem is that on my Birthday they made me pay for a candle. So we spend $5,000 USD at the restaurant and they made me pay for $ 6.00 USD for something they give to every other customer for free. I am not happy!!!! I know its petty but it just really doesnt make me happy. FM

You know when you eat at a place, when it just came into town, and it was so good, you didnt want to tell your friends because you never wanted to stay in line line to eat? Well this is the place, and also my first post for anything. The buffet could be compared to any place in Vegas. I see someone bitched about the food being cold. If so, the will make it again and bring it to your table.The buffet was never cold, and the help is great. Wheather you are doing Hibachi, or buffet. You will be pleased

Zero Stars!! Hibachi chef was fine but dont bother. Satos is much more friendly. Service, specifically the short haired angry waitress is horrific. Asked for chopsticks and the waiter tossed them at me over another persons head. Asked for to-go containers and waitress threw them at us. They tried to pull my mothers plate from her while she had chopsticks in hand and was taking a bite. Embarrassing night out when trying to entertain someone with a nice meal. Never going back, not even for take out.

Hibachi dinner was far over priced and the performance was lackluster and boring at best. The other chef in the room was a bit better than the one we had, but Ive seen a much better performance from a hibachi in the middle of Maine. Youd think a place closer to a large metropolitan city like Boston would be able to find talented chefs especially at the prices this place charges. The food was decent but nothing too special.

This restaurant was bad from the second we walked in. I had a reservation for 6:30 and they were extremely rude when we went to the front desk. The lady walked to the table so fast we lost her. They were rushing us in and out of there. My chicken was rubbery and my steak was dry. Overall mediocre food. The salad was drowning in dressing and my soup was cold. The only good part was the rice.

I went to the Tulip Lounge and had dinner with friends on Saturday night 4/9/16 the food was great and the Chef that cooked out food in front of us was amazing but the waitress not so good we tipped the Chef when he was done and we also tipped the waitress which in return she said we didnt leave her enough money i thought that was very rude since we already tipped the Chef and tipped her.

Food can be ok. Do not believe there posted time of operation. Tried to call for takeout at around 10:25pm they are open till 12:pm I had the phone hung up on me three times in a row without a word being spoken on the other end. Since I was driving by them I stop ti try and just order the food at this time it was 10:35 and the kitchen had been closed and no food was available to buy.

Ive been going to tulip since it opened.. Used to be better,its still ok but not the same,bathrooms are not very clean which makes me wonder about the kitchen and other areas that customers cant see.. But drinks are still good And poopoo platters are huge But I wont get the sushi anymore last time I ordered sushi it smelled bad and I never ate it

The digs are pretty nice for an Asian restaurant and it has hibachi, but the Chinese food is your average corner Chinese restaurant quality. Ive had good service myself and maybe Ill bump this up if I enjoy the hibachi in the future, but as a standard Asian restaurant the several times Ive been there its mediocre.

I have only ordered take-out sushi but prices are great for the rolls & take-out sushi is best Ive had in stoneham so far! Their dinner combo (only tried the general gao chicken with white rice & crab Rangoon) is also so reasonably priced for any non-sushi tastebuds! Lots of food for great price. Thanks TULIP!

Service was extremely rude and unprofessional. The food was exceptional but the over all experience was horrible. We left a $60 tip and the waitress told us that we have to leave more. You will have to have thick skin when coming here. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone

The food selection was wonderful, but most of it was cold at the buffet at 1:30. The service was horrible. I asked for some sweet sauce and the girl told me it was at the buffet. So they expect a tip for doing nothing? Id go back, but no tip if treated like that again.
