We have had several good meals here. They have some gluten free items on the menu, which is why we have gone there. The waitstaff is not trained in handling food allergies and how not to cross-contaminate the food. The waitress knew I ordered a gluten free meal and then said, "You want bread, right?" The bread she did bring for my husband was placed on the table next to my water glass so the bread crumbs went into my water - more than once. She did not get it, and she was training a new employee, so now the new employee has no idea how to handle a GF meal. The main dishes were served with the other plates of food leaking into my plate. Most restaurants will serve the allergy plate separately so that doesnt happen. Some restaurants will require the waitstaff to wash their hands between handling bread, other plates and a GF meal. Our seat was facing the kitchen, and probably the most disconcerting was watching the cook pick his teeth with his hands while he was cooking. The good news is the food is consistently good. This was probably our 12th visit. Unfortunately, from the entrance when the hostess places the bread-y menus on the clean silverware to the poorly handled leftover box, we may think again before returning. I wanted to send this to the restaurant management so they could improve their training, but there was no option to do so on the "contact us" tab.

I have had good experiences at Orzo in the distant past. I guess they must have either a new or very confused and rude staff there now. I suggested to my daughter that she meet her friends there as it was a good central location for them. Each person was served something that was not as described on the menu, and a compromise. One person asked for scallops instead of shrimp with her pasta. The waitress did not tell her it would cost more money. All in all the food was described as very inferior. When the bill came there was a large increase in price for the scallops, even though there was no mention of an upcharge. When the bill was questioned I hear the waitress was very rude about it. So the manager was contacted, who arrived at the table "shaking" she was so furious that someone had complained. I may not have every detail correct, but I am horrified that my daughter and her wonderful and very polite (AND NON COMPLAINING UNLESS THERE IS A GOOD CAUSE) friends were treated in such a rude way. WHY ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE RUDE WORKING WITH THE PUBLIC?...ALL THEY WILL DO IS LOSE BUSINESS FOR THIS ESTABLISHMENT...AND A BAD WORD TRAVELS FASTER THAN A GOOD ONE. I hope the owner reads this. I am sue there will be more. My whole family used to dine there; but no more.

Made a last minute reservation for a Saturday evening dinner for 16 people. Asked if that was something they could handle because I know the place isnt very big, and was told, "no problem." We arrived , got seated on time, waitress was excellent even though we only had the one for the entire table she did an awesome job, very attentive, polite and all the meals came out at the same time, and hot. Food as always, was excellent, bill was very reasonable. Honestly, things couldnt have gone better, everyone was amazed. I am a small business owner as well and whenever I read Google reviews, the negative reviews are from people that one, have a legitimate gripe, or 2, from people who are career complainers that have to complain about everything no matter what. Google Reviews should have a way for the business owners to respond to negative reviews, its only fair. A lot of times people will post negative comments because they didnt get "their" way. Well, thats my two cents worth and thanks to Orzo for a very enjoyable evenig.

In regards to New Years Eve Dining & Celebration offered by Orzos...my husband & I have never had such a disappointing evening @ your establishment!! We are long time customers & thought a nice meal & entertainment would be a great way to ring in the New Year & not too far from home. NOT!!! For starters: we had 7:30 reservations - we were not seated until almost 8:15; the food & drink were wonderful, as always, but our waitress was horrible! She took our wine glasses saying she d bring us fresh ones & never did!; & for the final disappointment, the D.J. that was supposed to start @ 9 pm didnt get started until after 10:30!!! By then my husband & I had enough - got out check & went home to ring in the New Year with Dick Clark!!! All we could say is that they (meaning you Orzos) are lucky your food is as good as it is because we probably would not be returning soon!!! (The 3 stars are for the food only.)

The food was fine - not spectacular. The portions were hearty. The staff leaves a lot to be desired. Our waitress was awkward and asked us numerous times if we wanted her to clear away any thing from the table (even while we were still eating the entrees). She then said that she was told that her tables were "messy" and proceeded to take away the waters we were still drinking. Our waitress had the potential to be good, but we had the feeling she was being micro-managed. The hostess was unfriendly and kept hovering near our table. Although the food was satisfying, the overall experience was uncomfortable and not worth the $80 bill for two people.

I ordered the sirloin tips and a caesar salad with chicken (gluten free) around noon time on Friday. The caesar salad came in 15 minutes and tasted good but the chicken was over cooked and un-seasoned. It took more than an HOUR for the sirloin tips to be ready and the resteraunt was not even close to being filled with customers. To add insult to injury, the sirloin tips were inedible. I was given 3 tiny peices of characoal when I ordered ot to be medium. The french fries were bland. Orzo Trattoria is a depressing excuse of a resteraunt when it comes to any type of meat whether it be chicken or sirloin. I suggest you do not come here.

I enjoy this restaurant and have in the past. My family and I must have went on an off day. Our server seemed a bit unsure of himself and what we was doing. My parents salad was dead (The lettuce was dead) and they were never asked what type of dressing they wanted. I ordered ginger ale but it turned out to be seltzer water. When I said something the server seemed be aware they were out of ginger ale already. Id still go back. Like I said it must have been an off day for them. Usually it isnt like this at all. My main course was delicious!

Although the food was fantastic I always get the same take out order 2 orders of linguini with sausage with arrabbiata sauce always good but this time they cut up my sausage so they can hide the fact that they only gave me 1 sausage instead of 1 in each plate im usually full but we are both still hungry now and I have to drive out of my way to go here so it looks like if they are cutting down on portions its not worth it to go i paid even more than usual this time also we live in new hampshire
