Will never eat there again. 1. Online experience: I was placing online order for carry out and was pleasantly surprised by prices almost half less than my favorite Blue fish restaurant in Ocean city. During checkout it prompted for a tip (in dine-in increments 15, 18, 20, 25%), so I did leave advanced 10% tip even though you dont have to tip for carryout orders, unless they did something extra for you (then its 10%). I just wanted to make sure Noone spits in my food. There were 2 options to pay - by cash or by credit card. I chose credit card and wasnt prompted to enter info. Since someone else was picking up my order, I had to call in. 2. Customer service : the gentleman on the phone was not nice at all, I barely convinced him there is no way I can pay in store aND need to give him my cc info over the phone. Guess what ? 10% advanced tip didnt give me any extra service, it took what was rightfully mine - I got no standard side of ginger or wasabi, which actually gives a kick to otherwise bland rice/fish meal. I only got one little cup of way watered down soy sauce, set of chopsticks and a napkin. WORST PART: HE PUT 1 HOT ROLL IN THE SAME BOX WITH 2 COLD ROLLS AND IT WAS ALL HOT BY THE TIME I GOT IT!!! Im not sushi/roll guru, but I think it could violate some health codes if you leave raw fish item sitting next to freshly fried roll. 3. Quality of food: even though I didnt go with specialty rolls , I picked the most fancy and flavorful rolls from the ones of roll menu. Didnt feel any flavor of all those extra fish, veggie items (maybe cause Noone gave me any wasabi and ginger and the soy sauce was as tasty as water) and the rice!!! It wasnt the rice you would normally put in sushi. That was like the worst quality regular white rice from the grocery store. It wasnt tasty and too crunchy, but when I sat down the next day to finish leftovers it turned into rock and I almost stuck in my throat. Im usually pretty tolerant and dont write any reviews much, but that was just too my things at once. I never ask to give me a free meal or talk to a manager (last Saturday my husband fished out big clod of hair out of salsa dip in a Mexican restaurant. Good he was not distracted at the time and did not send that chip in his mouth. And we didnt yell, just showed what we found to the waiter and tipped her as usual , 20-25%). And I cant get why people leave positive reviews. Theres nothing to like here beside the price I guess. I dont like sushi from China buffet places, but I think those were better than Sakura. Ive been to Sakura in west Ocean City and its way different and tastier. Again, Im not sushi snob, I can enjoy the most average once, but not that much below average served with bad service on the side Regards, Julia

Went to Sakura last night for the first time with the wife and another couple. Called a few days ahead to make reservations, then the day of the reservation to push it back an hour, and they gave us no problems. They had our table waiting for us but were fine when we decided to sit at the sushi bar. The two sushi chefs were skilled and efficient in their preparation and all the fish was delicious. We got 2 tri-color platters (tuna, salmon, yellowfin) and received 5 huge slabs of each fish on a well presented platter. We then moved on to Teryaki Veggies for the wife, which she got in a box with 6 California rolls, tempura shrimp and veggies, and some dumplings. We all received green salads and miso which was excellent. My friends fiance got a shrimp and chicken dish which was good, but had enough food for 4 ppl. We then moved on to the Salisbury Rolls-awesome RECOMMEND! Rainbow Roll, Phoenix Roll, and Ninja roll, all were amazing. After we ate and the staff saw how much we loved the sushi they told us about all you can eat specials daily for lunch and dinner. For all 4 of us with beers and sake our bill was under 150.00! Im sure it would have been much less if we were doing the all you can eat, but we were expecting to spend at least twice that. Great value, great food, great service! I work in the restaurant industry so this is big coming from me, I can usually find something I dont like, not at Sakura. Make sure to tip the chefs! And your servers! They just gained 4 regulars, and we live over an hour away!

Visited Sakura for lunch today, and it was pretty busy. The restaurant is pretty small, and its run by a small staff. Our server was very nice considering he was balancing 7-9 tables at once! We did have to wait to order and get our food, but it wasnt a bad wait. It just gave us a chance to take in all the little details like the individual lamps over the tables. We ordered off the lunch menu, and the two of us decided to get the 2 rolls and miso soup for $6.95. The rolls were the basic ones [East Roll, Snow Crab Roll, Salmon & Avocado, Eel & Avocado], so just good, fresh sushi. We were still a bit hungry, so we decided to order off the speciality roll menu and picked the Ninja Roll... and were SO HAPPY we did! Not only was it extremely tasty, the presentation was beautiful! So, overall, we were happy with our lunch and will visit again when were in the area.

Food is usually good, but I had a horrible experience. My boyfriend got the all you can eat special and I only wanted an appetizer, he gave me a bite of his plate and the woman working there was very angry thinking we were trying to eat for one all you can eat price... for the rest of the night she was partolling and circling our table and staring at us eat and talking angrily with other employees... all I can say is she did not get a good tip that night and never returning again...

In all the years I have eaten sushi it is by far the WORST sushi Ive ever had. I just went and picked up some to go rolls and quality is absolute trash. The ginger is rotten and smells like Lysol. The rolls are poorly executed and dont stay together. They fish is previously frozen and tastes awful. If I was at the restaurant, I would get up and walk out. I am so disappointed, I threw most of it out. I will never, ever go back to this place for any reason.

One of my favorite sushi places in Salisbury. The all-you-can-eat is amazing, and you can choose to to have 4 or 8 of the specialty rolls, and 3 or 6 of the normal rolls. It helps for wanting to try out different rolls. The family who run this place are extremely nice and always recognize us when we come in. We go at least once a week with just ourselves or our friends. HIGHLY recommend.

We tried to get a carryout order from this place. The guy was very rude with me on the phone and hung up on me before I could even complete the order. Im not even sure they understood what i was saying. I called back to confirm the order, they had it wrong. I canceled the order and they abruptly hung up on me again. We wont ever eat there.
