Last minute shopping in Hagerstown yesterday. Saw reviews of Dolce Pizza and Restaurant - and dropped in. Immigrant woman, wearing a chefs hat and a smile, in a squeaky clean old piece of small town America. Outstanding four cheese pizza (this praise doesnt come easily from someone who married the pizza queen), great salad, and home-made donuts. Eclectic. Tables and chairs dont match, but covered with home-made Eastern European table cloths. Next time you are anywhere near Hagerstown - take the time to go off the beaten path and try this place. We intend to try the home cooked European entres next time - people next to us had them, and they looked outstanding as well.

This place was awesome!!! It is a small family owned place with 9 tables, and the food is so good they have no problem filling them. I was amazed people were not waiting in line to get in. Fast and super friendly service. The small rolls they start you with are great, and that quality continues right into the fried dough bits with powdered suger they bring you at the end of your meal. The sauce was great on the chicken and veal parmesan we had. We ordered a side of meatballs and another side of italian sausage, and both were great served in their wonderful sauce. We will be back often, and will be bringing friends.

Let me tell you I have dined at 5 star restaurants and I would put this place up against any of them. Do yourself a favor and stop in and see chef Juila and her sons. This is a moderately priced casual dinning experience is one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in my life!!!!!! After finding this place 4 weeks ago I have either dined in or had it delivered (free delivery) 6 times ordering something different each time and have never been disappointed!!!!! Food is always hot fresh and delicious. I will continue to be a customer as long as I live. Thanks chef Juila for sharing your wonderful gift of cooking!!!!

horrible food and filthy establishment. after eating this discusting food that we found something slimy inside on the meat and returning it for a refund only to have the woman that cant speak very good english be rude and out of hand nasty, then watching one of the male workers picking his nose while making food. she wouldnt give us a refund when we showed her there was something slimy in the sandwich, she offered to remake it but we refused especially after watching the man picking snot out of his nose, while making food, never again,,,,,,,,,,,

Stopped here for some take-out pizza while on vacation. Service was excellent. They were very patient while I decided and even brought me freshly baked bread while I waited. Ive never gotten such attention for a simple to-go order! Prices are very reasonable and all of the employees were super friendly. And our food was excellent! The only negative is that their menu isnt online, which almost made me go with someone else because we were looking for somewhere to deliver, but it was worth the drive over to see what they had to offer.

This is a really awesome place to eat some of the best Italian and Romanian dishes, period. Julia is both Owner and Chef. She takes a special pride in the preparation of your meal, making every dish to order with maximum T.L.C. Because of that, this is not the place to come if you are in a big hurry. But of you want an awesome dining experience, and can slow down enough to wait while she personally prepares your meal, you will be rewarded with a dining experience you will remember.

Do NOT judge the book by its cover! This place is very small and modest, but the atmosphere and food are great. The owners and staff are so friendly and warm, and you can tell that they really care about making sure that the patrons have a good experience. It feels like youve been invited to a family dinner, and theyve got lots of delicious food options! Id love to visit here as often as I can.

I stopped in here on a whim for lunch and boy am I glad I did! They gyro and fries were excellent, but the surprise warm roll appetizer (free) and fresh donuts at the end of the meal (also free) were incredible. Who does that for lunch anyways? Loved it. The service was also excellent and the owners were genuinely glad to have me. Highly recommend this place if you like hole-in-the-wall gems.

Delicious food! I especially like the chicken and rice and the chicken marsala, but nothing Ive ever had here has been bad. I appreciate the homey touches like freshly snipped herbs and the complimentary rolls and honey bread. The staff are genuinely friendly. The setting is a little shabby if you care about those things, but to me the scrumptious food more than makes up for it.

A small restaurant, but the owner is simply amazing. Great dishes of all kinds, including Italian, Eastern European (the owner is Romanian), to American. The food is always fresh and delicious. Huge fresh salad with entrees. No alcohol is served, but you can bring your own. If you eat there, donuts/fried dough with powdered sugar is served after the meal. Pretty inexpensive too.

Met friends for dinner yesterday, everyone loved Dolce. The food was delicious and the servers were warm, polite and professional. The server brought everyone a garlic roll to start and warm little donuts dripping with honey and powdered sugar for an after dinner treat. My husband and I are looking forward to coming back soon. wonderful. to finish the meal

This is my local pizza place but also visit periodically for sit down meal. Comfortable family run place, where I always feel welcome. Dole serves Italian food with some eastern European thrown in. It is always good, but caters to locals so dont expect a lot of spices or unusual flavors. Fresh, simple and served with love. And you always get a free desert.

Tremendous service and delicious food. We try to make a visit one a month driving from Frederick. I love the eggplant parm, mozzarella sticks (Im pretty sure the breading is homemade! :) and the soups which are homemade. Highly recommend Dolce Pizza!!!

A great restaurant just a little off the beaten path. Friendly staff and good food combine to make this a great place for dinner. While Italian and Greek are mainstays on the menu there are a few other Eastern European dishes available as well.

Excellent food. Had the Moussake and Moldavian Chicken and they were both delicious!! Its a tiny restaurant and fills up fast but worth the wait. Pizza is fantastic too.

Large pizza with one topping and Philly cheesesteak (with no fries) was $25. That seems expensive.izza was good but cheesesteak had very little flavor.
