First let me say, that I never write reviews on restaurants, however, this restaurant is so bad, that I had to write one. I went to this location on Tuesday, first the décor in this establishment is bottom shelf, you are basically sitting on patio chairs and tables, no type of decoration on the walls. This location has been open for a while and the owners have yet to remove the name of the previous restaurant from the windows. The steps to go into the location and the deck, looks like the wood is rotted, the owners have yet to replace the wood...really?? Now the food and service, me and my friend go inside and sit at these patio/low end tables and chairs and get a paper menu that looks like it came out of someones pocket, crumpled and old. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my friend ordered the chicken and eggs, we also ordered two soft drinks. I finished my drink and was looking for the server to come, however, the server did not come and check on us. I saw another server and asked her for a refill, the server then proceeded to ask me who my waitress was instead of refilling my drink. Finally another server came and took my empty glass and took my friends glass, which was still half full and returned with both glasses full. At the end of the meal, we got our bill and saw that they charge for refills; 1) if you charge for refills you should state that to your customer, 2) my friend did not ask for a refill and his glass was half full, the server topped off his glass and charged him for a second drink. Now for the food, both of our meals were lackluster, lacked flavor and were generic. Specifically, my shrimp were overcooked and were tough, the entire dish was oily and lacked flavor. I will never go back to this location, all the reviews that rate this place as good with good food, have to have been posted by the owner and his friends. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!! FYI...I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THIS PLACE ZERO STARS, HOWEVER, IT WAS NOT AN OPTION. In Reply to Owner: First of all my review was not spiteful, it was the truth and my personal experience at your restaurant. Also, my review was not inaccurate, others will surely post of their experience and your poor wait staff to confirm my experience. Second of all, you claim to have a Food Network Chef; Chef Sammy Davis, is not a Food Network Chef, he has merely been on two episodes of "Chopped", a show I watch frequently. Please do not inaccurately, portray your chef as being from the Food Network,

Good Morning, unfortunately my dining experience was the worse ever for restaurants in quite sometime. I have no problem with spending good money for good food, but the establishment should match the price. The concept is good, however the location sucks!!! You need a compass and a map to find this place. The wait staff was unprofessional, slow and confused. The décor looked nice, but eating on patio furniture was a joke for the prices they charge. Please invest in better furniture. I almost left to eat in my car for comfort (seriously). If I was paying McDonalds prices that would have been fine, but even McDonalds has better seating. I had the chicken and biscuits; the chicken was saltyyyyyyy......I had to pop a high blood pressure pill when I left and drink plenty of water. Watch out!! this place charges full price to refill fountain soft drinks, they dont mention it and they will take a half empty glass and refill it and charge you full price. I never even asked to have my glass topped off, so I thought that was nice that she wanted to do so without being asked, until I found out she was charging me for an additional full glass (that was ridiculous) Its not even a specialty drink. The sign out front is labeled "Swahilie" This is why it took me so long to find the place....Please get a new sign, that is so unprofessional. The stairs coming into the restaurant are old and rotted wood...someone is going to get hurt. I have plenty of friends and family that reside in this county and I am disappointed in this place. I am hoping for this restaurant owner to pay attention to my post and make some improvements so minority owned businesses wont continue to always get a bad "rap". The parking lot is the worse. Im sure its not up to county code...please do something with the parking lot. I dont need to describe the conditions, just go there and try to park and youll see exactly what I mean. Most people wont take the time to write a review; but I do. This place gets 1 star...THEY NEED HELP...They have potential, but they seem to lack restaurant experience no matter how much experience they think they have...I dont have mercy when Im paying good money...and what happened to the chicken and waffle dish I heard about. I didnt see that on the menu and thats what I came in for. Sincerely, Concerned Customer

I read some really great reviews about this place; both here and on yelp. I ordered the "Deep Fried Salmon Hash Neopolitan style". I can very much say that I was disappointed. I honestly wanted to try this place after reading all the hype and also knowing the Chef is well known as he was on the TV show, "Chopped". My food was really unpleasant. The deep fried Salmon was VERY salty and it also was not crunchy at all. The breading used to fry the fish was way too salty which in turn caused it to be salty... Ughh! The Spinach was a mess. I wished the Chef could have pitied me a little and sprinkled some salt or pepper or something as the spinach was very bland. It was as if they just boiled it in water and that was it. No salt, pepper, curry..... just absolutely Nothing! Or maybe I missed the memo of eating the salty salmon and the bland spinach at the exact same time and then allow the two extremes to come together in my mouth. The Hash Brown too was another disaster. No flavor at all. I had to rely on the little cheese to give it some flavor of some sort. From the pictures I had seen, I thought my food too would have a substantial amount of the cajun cream sauce. I can honestly say I recieved 1 tablespoon of the sauce; if even that. The food was dry! The banana cupcakes were okay. I just wish they had those little containers with compartments so the cakes hold in place. Instead, they put one little cupcake in a large container. Then by the time you get back to your office or your home, the cakes are mushed with cream everywhere as they slide from side to side. Also, the parking there is horrendous! The owner of the restaurant needs to rectify that QUICKLY! The staff were friendly and inviting. Im a little bit conflicted because I dont know if I should never patronize them ever again OR give them another chance by trying a different dish. Hmmm!

Milk and Honey is busy. Really good but BUSY. I went to eat and waited to be seated. Almost most the staff did not acknowledge me but 1 person. My server acknowledged me last after he he passed me 5 time a before he said hi Ill be with you and passed me again several more times before he actually came to me. The tables are close together and there are not many in the small building. That being said when the server was able to get to me he gave a me an oreo cupcake which was super moist and tasty and I LOVE cake. And took off the cranberry juice I ordered. I ordered the salmon with cheesy hash browns and greens. It was delicious. They pour this creamy creole sauce over top. If your watching your weight dont eat here. You could see the oil and grease from everything. Did that stop me, heck no! Absolutely delicious. It was $17 which was on the cheaper end of their brunch menu options but better than I thought. Really great food not great service when its busy. What I like is on the menu they let you know "We guarantee great food. Everything else is up to chance" great food it was. Good luck!
