I work in the area and tried this place for after work drinks a few times... Never again. Atmosphere is fine, but the wait staff is the literal worst. Slow, lazy... walked around my friend and I for 10 minutes without acknowledging our presence. Got my friends order wrong when they finally did take our orders and bring our drinks. Charged us regular prices during happy hour. My hummus plate took 45 minutes (not exaggerating) to come and the bartender acted like I was inconveniencing him when I asked if it was still coming because I had to leave soon. It took another 15 to come after that. Its hummus and pita bread — not a three course meal. Ive been a server and a bartender and these problems are just pure laziness. For $13 cocktails, I expect at least mediocre service. The drinks were good, though, so at least theres that. This is a horrible way to greet out of town tourists that are looking to explore our wonderful city. If this bar were my only experience in Louisville, I would not be very inclined to come back.

Our friends brought us here from out of town to show off this old, beautiful historic bar...a real gem in Louisville. SURPRISE! the hilton has crapped all over it and turned it into a bad imitation of a farm-to-table style restaurant, complete with bathroom tiling on the bar, canned lighting and lots of LED TVs. Outstanding in its genericness. Somewhere F. Scott Fitzgerald is weeping. Cocktails and service were fine.

This is an historical bar in an historical hotel. The decor is mellow and inviting but also anticeptic feeling like they were trying too hard. The spirits list is extensive. Yet this failed to win me over. Service is so-so and the tables were a bit chintzy. A hundred years ago this place was probably amazing. Today its just another a hotel bar that has a HUGE bourbon list only because its in downtown Louisville.

Stopped in for an afternoon cocktail while touring around downtown. The hotel bar had traditional, sophisticated feel/atmosphere. Manhatten left a bit to be desired considering its a bourbon town. Typical hotel prices with drinks at $13.

They had every year of Pappy you could imagine. Not quite as elaborate as you might expect from the hotel that the Great Gatsby was imagined in, but still pretty cool.

I tried to upload a picture of two glasses of Weller 12 - you cant find this anywhere. Google it. Fantastic bar, great menu, terrific bartenders....

Our waitress dropped off a menu, and we never saw her again. So we left and will not return although we are staying at the Seelbach hotel.
