I am a chocolate SNOB! I came to Iowa because my husbands family lives there. They live right around the corner from the mall. My sis in law took me to this little candy store. IT WAS AWESOME!!! I went again on my next trip (it was caramel apple season) and oh my goodness..I just about bought out the store to take home to Florida. I cant even go into the store that starts with a "G" anymore (LOL), My favs are the caramal marshmallow bar and the caramel apple. Price is good, chocolate is great - I just need a store locally and life would be perfect!

My brother visits Betty Jane when he comes to Dubuque from the East Coast. The Ice cream, candies, etc have been excellent. This Thanksgiving the sealed box of gremlins were stale! The truffles hand boxed were fine. Please beware that the sealed box chocolates in our case were not good. I think it would be a good business practice to indicate on sealed boxes an expiration date to maintain quality control.

I absolutely love this place! We stop in every time we are back in Dubuque visiting. The chocolate is to die for and the staff is always kind and thoughtful. The product line has expanded in the past few years and I love it!

If you like candy and chocolate, this is the place to go in Dubuque. You cant leave without buying some gremlins. It should be illegal to go to Betty Janes without purchasing gremlins. They are goooood.

My mom used to take me here as a kid to pick out candy fruit slices. You can get a bag of them but cant pick out the ones you want anymore. Still a great place, love the gremlins.
