Decor: Mumbai grill is a place which is not fancy as other Indian restaurants. They dont have those chandeliers or fancy couches. This place is actually split in 2 sections. One is a butcher house for lambs and goats and the restaurant is another section. Dont worry the place is clean. Food: Awesome is the word that would define the food at Mumbai Grill. Being an Indian, Ive a very good idea on how good Indian food should taste like. The food in this place is simply amazing. The curries that you find here might a bit greasy but the food tastes really good. Try the following dishes which are my favorites: Lamb chops, Goat Biryani, Peshawari Goat Karahi (hot & spicy). The meat is tender since these are fresh. All meat found here is halal (Muslim religious way of butchering). Hope this review helps !!

I decided to try this place after the reviews they got, but first impression is everything. When I arrived to get my food a guy walked in before me and they just handed him my food which the lady informed me of. I was like wow because the wait time was ridiculous in the first place, so they re-made my food and I let that mishap go but when I got home my chicken was RAW . I call them up about this around 20:45 they told me they were closed, I said your sign says 9 pm so I show back asking for a refund they refused instead let me choose a new item off their menu. I couldnt eat their food and I will never eat here again , I will stick with Indian Garden downtown their food is a lot better than any Indian restaurant in Greenwood, IN. Also they never apologize for this .

First of all the lady greeting us at the entrance did a terrible job. We were standing there for five minutes before she came and asked what we wanted. We asked if there was a buffet or alacart and she kept staring at us .. then reluctantly she asked us to sit down. The food :_ we ordered biryani , pander kadai n roti n daal. The most souless food I have eaten in ages! N the worst biryani Ive ever tasted. Will never visit again. If anyone is looking for good Indian food... Please avoid this place ...

Very horrible service. The lady serving us was very rude that she asked us to grab a coke which she should be getting it. They do not refill the glass with water and we had to call them every time we needed some water. I think restaurant should consider hiring some professional waiters. The taste of the food keeps reducing with every visit. I have ordered Goat Biryani yesterday and all i got was Biryani with meatless goat bones.

Update Worst management/food/service. This place used to be good. Its getting bad I believe (when it comes to customer service/food quality) Complained several times regarding the food. ignorant staff/management. Edit: (after 7 months) 1⭐️ Edit: (after 1 year) 1/5 for the food. 1/5 for the ambience 0/5 for service Overall, I believe this place is really messed up.

A lovely taste of Northern Indian cooking. The garlic naan is amazing and the egg biryani was a real treat. We also enjoyed the mixed grill for the variety of meats. Be warned that much of the food is above the typical "mild" level of American food and order accordingly. The owner even treated us to a mango drink that was like dessert in a glass. Wonderful!

I ordered a goat biryani and chicken biryani, as I was recommended by my collegues to try out, frankly those who say the biryani is best here may not have tried a good place or had authentic biryani ever! Both Biryanis were horrible in taste, goat pieces were only bones, no were authentic, all commercial dalda based only to make money. Please avoid.

Food taste is average . Very few vegetarian options. Samosa was over fried bhatura was also over fried. Chutney is charged extra. Raita was watery and the curd was not at all sour. Ambience is poor with no decoration water served in faded plastic tumblers. Only 1 waiter who was quite forgetful

Decor is plain, service is super friendly with a crew of cool and light-spirited Indian guys. Food is fantastic (maybe a dash heavy) with vibrant complex flavors that i have never tasted before in Indian food. Price can end up being a little high because the rice is an additional side for $4.

This is hands down the best tasting Pakistani (despite the name, the owner is actually pakistani and served zabiha meat) restaurant I have been to in the US. The biryani here had the authentic pakistani taste without doubt. Worth it even if you have to drive an hour to get here.

When I walked in they showed me to my table. I sat there for about 20 minutes and no one bothered to ask if I was ready to order. The place was almost empty when I was there. If you dont care about me as a customer, I dont care to spend my money there. I got up and walked away.

The food is good I admit, but the service is absolutely terrible ! you will probably not receive a warm welcome and the waiter will not take you to your table and you should expect some issue with the services. However, as I stated before the food is great

I usually dont write reviews but for this restaurant I thought I should. This is by far one of the best Desi restaurants in midwest. All the items I have tried so far have been amazing. Its not pricey and serving portions are really good. Highly recommend.

Serves really tasty Indian food. The only thing they could improve is being more welcoming to their guests. Overall, this is the best Indian food I had so far. Would surely recommend this place to anyone looking for some real taste of India.

Raw food, not properly cooked. Taste was good but we couldnt even finish eating the food as it was too raw. Lamb chomps and tandoori chicken was raw and kofta was not a kofta it looked more like gulaab jamun.

The only great thing about this restaurant is its food. They are ignorant about everything else. But if you are not fond of the ambiance and quick service go there and enjoy the yummy Indian taste.

Great, authentic Indian fare - they even have an authentic Tandoori grill installed. The flavors and spices are incredible and every dish is a winner. Try the goat karahi, samosas, and naan

Excellent vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Lamb Kabobs were by far my favorite. Palak Paneer and Biryani were also good. Watch out for small bones in the meat dishes.

Best Indian restaurant I ever been to. Great food always. I only took off one star because they dont put enough meat in their dishes (comparing to the price)

Beef curry was just ok in taste and goat curry the same but Ill highly recommend goat biryani in Indy. Not comparing outside Indy. Its ok sitting arrangement.

Had goat karahi and naan, authentic Indian taste and fast service. The place is small but the food is authentic.. they can improve on their interiors though
