Been wanting to write this for a long time. Where do I start. So this is in an area that Des Planes, Park Ridge, and Niles all would rather not claim. Its technically unincorporated. It took me a year or so to finally go there after I noticed it getting home from I294 once. I finally gave in and went with a few friends. Again... the neighborhood left me confused. I was stunned. This bar has been here FAR before the neighborhood it now sits in. This place is awesome! Solid beer selection with an awesome outdoor backyard garden - that is so difficult to explain.You have to experience it. They have a pond, fireplace, lots of seating in amongst immaculate plantings. Count the bird houses. They are so cool. Ask about then. In the summer the garden is downright magical! (and I dont use that word lightly). You dont feel like your in Des Planes at all. (No offense to Des Planes, I like Des Planes, but ya know... Its Des Planes). Really awesome staff and owner - Lester. Clean, and all around, fun experience. Great customers too. In the summer the fire outside in the garden is sometimes just a social gathering place. Good Polish beer selection if your into big bottles, and the food is really, really, really good. Homemade. Try the Chili. Yes... they actually cook there. Its not reheated Sysco bar food in the frier. Its now our go to place in the area if we are going meet up with friends after work. Its a destination place now. In the summer I have friends that are willing to drive 30-40 minutes to just go there because of the garden.

Lived near this bar for years, but only recently started going here. Great little spot. The bartender was welcoming and professional. Drinks are well priced, and there is a food menu. There is one pool table. Great spot to hang out with friends and other patrons. The main attraction to me was the outdoor patio in the back. Great area to hang out, with plenty of outdoor seating to kick back and enjoy during the summer months. I would recommend others to visit.

This bar is by far the worst I have ever seen it is very noisy and smokey as well it makes your eyes tear the smoke is so thick. Pool balls go jumping across the table because the tavern is too small for pool table. They also have a no smoking section in the smokey joint. explain that they need a smoke eater. Also bartenders are very rude and your drink price keeps going up higher, the more buzzed you get......

I loved this place! So novelty. Once you walk in you get a sense of home. Walk out side and there is fire places...and plenty of seats to sit with a group of friends or with another person. Their food is amazing. I had the perogis if thats how you spell them and also the cheese burger! Delicious. I got the cheese and potato can I say yummmmmmm! Gotta check it out. You can also reserve some seating too!

One of most amazing places I have ever been to Its like a one big family. Regulars come there and on the walk in they remember what you ordered and ask of you would like the same thing or something else The moment you come in there for the first time you become a local, because there is no way you wont be coming back to this beautiful bar with the amazing garden :)

Local bar, great staff. If your lucky enough to have the proprietor cook you dinner, its a treat. Out of town from Boston and couldnt have asked for a better local neighborhood bar. Take the 10 min from OHare to experience the eclectic nature. The outdoor area is amazing. Fire pits, coy pond, grape vines... you wont find it elsewhere.

I cant believe what people are saying about this bar. I love this place! My boyfriend and I just moved here and its walking distance from our apartment. Everyone treats us really kindly and the ladies always make me really tasty drinks.

This has to be the coolest bar around. Drove by often on our way to the airport but we finally stopped in and now we go all the time. People are amazing and the place is adorable. The outside is so unique. Its such a find!

Great atmosphere, good beer and a Bocce league that plays every week out back. Whats not to love? The place is kept tidy and the service is good. I havent tried the food yet, but the rest deserves my 5 stars.

Awesome local hang out. There are a lot of regulars but the outside area is awesome! Make your own bonfires for free and just pay for drinks!
