Delicious food, a cultural experience! I think the negative ratings are based mostly on a cultural misunderstanding that this isnt a standard American restaurant with standard restaurant service. Given that, youll have a much less confusing first experience knowing that: you seat yourself (remove your shoes if you sit in a booth), you have to go up to the counter to ask for an English menu and you order there as well, you walk up to the fridge to grab your own tea/drinks, dont expect them to give extra bowls/plates/silverware for sharing unless you ask, and you go up to the counter to pay. We first came here on a whim and got the gist of how service works here after a couple visits. When we first came, we generally just pointed at random menu items and if they had the ingredients they needed, we ordered it. Like many small businesses, their inventory varies so not everything is always in stock. If you can get over the fact that the service isnt what youd typically receive in a standard restaurant, I personally found this to be a delicious, immersive experience. The Samsy (minced beef and onion meat pie in a flaky pastry), Plov (lamb fried rice with salad and lamb kabobs), and Turkish black tea (you go up to the counter and dispense it yourself) are absolutely amazing and are great dishes to try if youve never had food from Central Asia. I feel like Im visiting a foreign country when we eat here and the food is delicious, so we keep coming back!

Im giving 3 stars because: 1) they need a sign that its a self service 2) the person who takes the order needs to inform the guest that they can get their tea or soft drinks them self at least tell them where 3) prices needs to be set so you know how much you paying for your order My husband and I sat there for a while until I got up and asked how their little system works.....even though I did order a tea....the lady didnt even bother telling me that I will have to go get/make my own tea!

No one greeted us or even gave us menus. Got up to get our own menus and waited to get waters but nothing. Awkward setting, no service, and overall unwelcoming. Was excited to try the food
