It is a step in the right direction, but I have a few comments as an experienced barista. The containers that the beans were in are not airtight. The espresso was already ground up in the doser grinder (maybe from the day before). The use of an electric spice grinder for my pour over made me cringe. My brother and I (both currently baristas) got up to the counter and ordered espresso drinks. When I said doppio, Italian for double, the woman scoffed and said this was not Starbucks. Then my brother ordered a cappuccino, only to be told that they come in either a 12oz or 16oz, not a traditional 6oz. The kicker for these statements is that they had a poster showing proper traditional espresso drinks 6 feet from the front counter. Ive never before experienced a roaster that has access to wonderful green beans & over roasted most of it. We got 4 pour overs: Ethiopia Yerg, Tanzania PB, Brazil, & a Guatemala. The roast profiles of all of them are almost identical. Worked wonderfully for the Brazil, but was EXTREMELY dark for the other three. Overall, this is a great alternative for Starbucks. Though if you are looking for a good 3rd wave coffee shop, stay far away from this place.

Terrible place. Owner spent 30 minutes bitching about Starbucks. Then we got our food and left to go eat it at home. We had a hair in our sandwich and didnt know until we were back home eating it. The next day we came back and his friendly demeanor changed. He accused us of lying, told us not to come back. He wouldnt give us a refund, so we had to drive all the way back home and dig it out of the trash, and bring it back. He then prodded through the sandwich with his bare hands right on the front counter where the register was until he found the fabled hair we spoke of. Then he finally, silently and reluctantly, gave us the refund. the entire restaurant went silent and it was so painfully awkward. Dont bother going here. Overpriced, and gross. The sandwich was 9.50 and it wasnt even made to order, it was pre-made hours ago and what we did taste of it wasnt worth the money. Plus it was hairy. Yuck! I wish we could give this place 0 stars. The most unprofessional experience of our life.

WORST COFFEE SHOP I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. The so called "owner" Rick, lies to the customers about where he gets his coffee from and his pastry items. He treats his employees like absolute crap - belittling them, calling them names, talking to them with disrespect (even though they are demanding that their employees give them respect - riiiiiiiiight because that makes sense) - ALL IN FRONT OF THEIR CUSTOMERS! The business is not well kept at all, they are already fighting the mayor to keep open because they arent up to standards. He also treats the customers with no respect at all, talking to them as if they are so stupid. Gayla and Rick are the most passive-aggressive owners/people ever! I would NEVER recommend anyone to giving them even a penny. Sincerely, your conspiracy theory :) PS. I will be posting this review on all social outlets!

I was pleasantly surprised by this coffee shop. We were in Douglasville for a day and I wanted to get some coffee from a local store and Cabin Fever Roasters did not disappoint. I almost wish it was closer because I would totally go back. The iced coffee my friend had was so smooth and yummy even though she got it black. They use real pumpkin for their pumpkin spice lattes and melt down white chocolate shavings for their white hot chocolate. The owner was incredibly knowledgeable about the coffees and the amount of different coffees he had in store, and I was impressed with his explanations when he was training a new girl. Overall, it was fantastic and I would definitely go again when Im in Douglasville!

I/we have visited this shop many many times before tonight. Dessert and coffee were acceptable, but Rick the owner went on an un-provoked political/constitution rant while at the same time insulting me and all other teachers/educators for our part in destroying the youth of America. He was not satisfied until he roped my husband and I into defending our own political/racial/education/religious beliefs. It was very uncomfortable and very rude and unprofessional of him as the business owner. We finally left and regretted spending any money on this visit and all our past visits. I believe in supporting local business but will not give another dime to this one.

As someone who has lived all his life in Douglasville, this coffee shop is an absolute treasure. The owners are very knowledgable and welcoming, and the shop is comfortable and homey. As the sign suggests, they roast their own beans, and they use their years of experience to make the best cup of coffee any way you like it.

BEST baked goods in Douglasville!! The coconut cream cake is to die for! Just beware, their brewed coffee is gross. Their beans are great, their pour-overs are great, their French press is amazing... but their brewed coffee is disgusting. I get the cold-brew or chai latte almost every time and its always great!

The owner is a true aficionado of coffee. I enjoyed a French pressed Sumatra roasted there that morning, delicious Cuban sandwich, and chocolate espresso puck. Go there today! Friendly staff, wonderful experience.

Cool vibe and great place for an escape from the "hurry up and rush" I am surprised that more people dont stop and checkout this hangout. Also for a getup and go check out the Rocky mountain espresso shake.

Great coffee starts with the coffee bean, but even that can be ruined along the way to the cup. Rick has high standards for EVERY step of the process and the result is an amazing cup of coffee.

Their breakfast sandwiches are really good. Also, I love their hot tea. They have several choices of tea and it is served on a nice platter with a little cup and tea pot. Really nice touch...
