The food and the restaurant are both beyond terrible...seeing all the nice reviews me and Frds stopped by this restaurant while driving back from Miami to our home.. The head chef was so rude and he was so disrespectful...no manners and no good customer service. We asked him to make our dal a bit mild and he came barging at us and said you ordered hot and its not my problem. People like this should never be allowed to operate the restaurant or even cook food.. This guys are just an insult to the Indian culture and the way we respect our customers. He treated us like beggars who were sharing 1 entree to 3 people.. shame on this restaurant and I would just tell one thing. If you want to behold your dignity and dont wanna get down to their cheap level...dont go to this restaurant...Dont fall for the nice comments here...as an Indian am ashamed that people like these in the restaurant make us look bad... we just walked away from the restaurant leaving our food untouched....If you are dan of Indian food guys this is not the place to go...you better have patience and pick one with atleast better customer service and not arrongant and head strong chefs....

I was lucky enough to discover this spot pretty soon after moving to the area a little over a year ago. Since then I have been back several times, and go as often as possible. Though the decor is a bit kitschy and just a little shabby, there is nothing wrong with it, though that is why Im only giving 4 stars. For the most part service has been good, just very cut and dry. Not overly friendly, but thats ok. The food is always wonderful, and as a big fan of Indian food, I dont say that easily. Ive eaten many things (though always vegetarian) from the menu and never been disappointed. I constantly recommend this spot, and plan on going there tonight!!!

We went there last night. There was no one greeting customers, so it took a few minutes to find out if it was ok to seat ourselves. After being seated we were served promptly and our server was amazing. I wasnt too fond of the other blond server who kept butting in. She asked if we needed to order after we had drinks and apps on the table. She also had my boyfriends card after he paid and she never should have touched it. The food was very good. I had never eaten Indian before so our server explained things very well to me. Nice to try something different in a town flooded with chain restaurants.

Ive been to a bunch of Indian restaurants all over the country and have usually enjoyed it a lot. I moved to Vero 3 years ago and have waited this long to try Taj Mahal.....I should have been here after 3 days!!! It is simply the best Indian I have had anywhere, everything the 3 of us had on the table was great, my Chicken Tikka Masala was one of the best things Ive ever eaten. The blend of spices was full of subtle curry flavors all blended so smoothly with nothing jumping out, the last bite I had was way better than the first, meaning a awesome meal. Dont wait 3 years. Go.

First when entering seemed to be a plant wholesale place but with tables we were happy to have found Indian food. Server was uptight and to the point no BS, maybe because of there food. We ordered 2 naan, 1 chicken tikka masala, 1 Bengali crab. Menu are confusing as Lunch menu do not cover everything but they make your favorites when asked. Bengali crab, unexpected came as a soup even though it was an appetizer. It tasted godly. We loved it. I would suggest this place to anyone driving between Orlando and Maimi

Horrible service. The waitress was incredibly rude to our table and to the table next to us. Her and the manger were talking about the table next to us, away from the table but it was audible from our tables. I asked for the spicy mango; she rudely says the mango chutney. I said no, repeated myself and pointed to the menu. She scoffed. The food was subpar/warm not hot. She brought us the check shortly after the food came out. Not worth your money. Upset I tipped her 20%. I will never eat there again.

The food here is amazing! Vero only has one Indian restaurant and we are fortunate that this is it. The owners are outstanding and often come around to the tables to check on customers. The only reason this place is not 5 stars is because of the revolving door on wait staff. With one exception every time we go the staff is new. The exception is very good, but it isnt a good thing when customers know the menu better than the employee!

The atmosphere is very calm and inviting of good conversation. The staff was friendly and made sure we had what we needed. The food... OoooooOo the food!!! Fantastic naan bread not greasy just perfect. I had the chicken tikka which was beautifully presented and lived up to its furnishing with an amazing taste and just the right amount of heat (hot)!

Sad they serve Halal. Its wrong to tell your customers different. I have a religious food restriction too but its funny how Hindu owned businesses can see thru that and not serve that crap. The owners are rude and could care less. Ive already called better business bureau.

Delicious food. The best I Indian restaurant (based in food) in the area. The chicken korma & chicken tikka Masala are the best I have had anywhere. I had friends visiting from New York where Indian restaurants are a plenty, & even they raves about the food.

The smell of bleach was overwhelming when I entered. I dont know why they decided to mop the entrance with extra strong bleach right at opening time. The mango lassi had a fluorescent Orange color and seemed to be made from powder.
