Charming historic cafe but the food left a lot to be desired. The tuna melt was luke warm at best and barely edible due to the strong taste of the tuna used, a might bit fishy. The salad that was ordered didnt offer much more than the sandwich. This place looks like it has been in business for a long time so maybe we just ordered the worst things on the menu but I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

The fresh bread is to die for, I love the chicken salad sandwich and the reubens. My mom says their spinach salad with raspberry vinaigrette is the best salad shes ever had. They have homemade soups and old-fashioned milkshakes too. Yummy! One thing is, its not a coffee shop anymore, although it used to be years back.

I had an all aboard sandwich. A variety of shredded meats, lettuce tomatoes, onions and cheese in two slices of home made bread. The clam chowder was the soup of the day, next to the remarkable sandwich it was good but not award winning. Highly recommended, hard to find, great eats.

My parents first ate here 4 years ago while in Lakeland with their RV and have come every year since. Whistle Stop in Plant City is a family run restaurant that offers homemade soups and sandwiches and lots more. I highly recommend the desserts.

The ambience is an eclectic mix of old and new, and the owner is extremely nice. Unfortunately the hours are sporadic, and theyre a cash only business. But if you catch them open and youre not in a hurry, their sandwiches and soups are excellent.

I love the Whistle Stop Cafe. It is part of historic Plant City. It is a family owned business. They know you by name after your first visit. Soups are homemade. My favorite is the Italian Wedding Soup.

Had a burger w cheese and bacon with chips and a pickle spear. Waitresses were very good and everyone is friendly. Aattack train passed by on the track next to Cafe while cashing out.
