*** I am editing my review in response to the review left about me from the owner** I have never nor do I now work for or at Fireside pizza. I simply left a review on how I felt about a establishment that I ate at. After all that is what restaurant reviews are all about. Everything I stated was true, the original guy is not cooking any longer for what ever reason and the food is different there is no denying that. I was going to give them another try and see if they fixed the issues but after the way the owner responded I personally dont want to give a establishment like this any of my business and I will make sure our friends dont either. POOR customer service on top on disappointing food. This place used to be our favorite spot but lately the quality of food has been nothing that we were used to getting when we dined at Fireside . Im not sure what happened but we can see there has been a change in help and I think that is the issue.The guy that was there until recently knew what he was doing and our food always came out perfect. The quality of our pizza was subpar at best when we were there the other night, very disappointing. We used to rave about this place but no longer. Hopefully they do something to fix this otherwise Im afraid they will be losing a lot of customers , myself included.

We normally get our pizza and antipasta salad from fireside, but no longer will be going there... although we know the service has never been great we still went because of the food, but after last night we are officially done with fireside pizza... we ordered a pick up order of pizza, salad and wings. Told it was going to ready and 9:40 so we got there at around 9:40. We went in, was not busy at all, bartender was busy with a couple at the bar so we stood back to wait, a gentleman from the kitchen area acknowledged us and I saw that our order was sitting there. About 15 minutes go by and a group of girls come in and rudely push by us to sit at the bar, another guy from the back who was behind the bar that clearly saw us waiting there patiently acknowledges the girls and then the bartender who clearly saw us standing there over 10 minutes starts taking their order... so after being looked at multiple times and ignored for about 20-30 minutes by staff, my wife, myself and 2 daughters decided to leave and we will never be going back to fireside

Highly uncomfortable experience. This place was such a bummer. Waitress promised to be back with our water and menus but 25 minutes went by and I was more than ready to go. My boyfriend was really hungry so I agreed to go in and wait with him while he ordered a pizza to go. It took 30mins for the pizza and I had to endure the really mean gossip the waitresses and bartender had going on about all the customers. They even had some nasty things to say about me and how I was taking up space? They told us to wait in that spot! I was confused and hurt. Just nasty people with overpriced tiny pizza that was bland. I took two bites and was so unimpressed I ended up eating leftovers in my fridge. Totally ruined our night out. Another thing: someone ordered a beer but ended up leaving so a waitress came to the bartender who instructed her to put the beer in the fridge. She said the next time someone ordered that type of beer just give them the opened one in the fridge. EW? Flat, old, overpriced beer is not something I would want.

We were looking for local restaurants in Palm Harbor to support local business instead of eating at chain restaurants WE discovered this pizza place and just loved it! Had GF Pizza here for the 2nd time and it was delicious. All the pizzas are cooked in a wood fired oven! It gave my GF pizza that smokey flavor through and through. I dont know what the bad reviews are about because I like their food. On my first visit a while back I also tasted their speciality wings and they were great: skin was crisp and the meat tender! I like the smallness of the restaurant as well. Its very cozy and intimate. The servers are very friendly and their service is excellent. If you want good food, great service, and an intimate setting try this place. Youll love it!

We moved to the west coast of Florida, north Pinellas County area, about a year ago and had been searching to no avail for a pizza place that made our favorite pizza...a white pizza, fire-grilled, with artichoke hearts and sun-dried tomatoes! We hadnt even found any place that had both ingredients on hand! And then we found Fireside Pizza Cafe! They not only made an outstanding pizza just the way we like it, but also have a beautiful outside patio and a fantastic staff, too! We have been there about once a week since we finally found them! Oh, and by the way, stop by Coolside Gelato next door for the perfect ending to your evening!!! Uniques flavors made to creamy perfection!

Please disregard "Walt Adams" post. It is a phony post from a disgruntled ex-employee. There were several reviews posted on other sites the same day with the same wording. I don’t need to mention any names but by reading the reviews you can see where it is coming from. This is a small family owned restaurant & I assure you the food is the same quality it has always been. If anyone ever has a bad dining experience at Fireside please feel free to contact me directly. I am the owner & always at the restaurant. I realize it’s tacky to rate myself but this is the only option on this site to defend our hard work & reputation. Thank you for your continued support, Joe

Wood fired pizza at a unique mom & pop place. Good, sort of pizza you can fold in half and eat. Nice outside seating area, plus inside seating. Seems like this was a house converted to a restaurant. Large selection of beer. I had a difficult time hearing the person I was with. We were in a corner & I think it was a bit of an echo chamber. Noise abatement would be helpful. Service was friendly, but drink refills & wait for check longer than I expected. Got thirsty after one slice & ended up making my own water (aka sucking on ice). Not a huge deal, but is reason for 4 stars, not 5. Would definitely go back.

Fireside Pizza Cafe is by far my absolute favorite place for pizza and those yummy fireside wings! The atmosphere is very comfortable and very welcoming which adds to the great food. My husband and I have been coming here since they opened. The food has always been delicious even with the change of cooks (referring to a previous review on here). I find it hard to believe that someone would have something negative to say about Fireside, it has been a local favorite for quite some time. I highly recommend Fireside Pizza Cafe if your looking for some great wood-fired brick oven pizza and wings!!

We ordered a pizza with light cheese and received a pizza dripping in cheese. We ordered drinks and received wrong drinks (party of 4 not one of them was right) then had to wait a full 40 minutes (yes I checked my watch) for our server to return with the correct drinks. The place wasnt even busy, but the service was Awful and the pizza was BAD. The pizza had way too much cheese on it and was burnt on the top but the crust wasnt cooked thru (almost raw) so basically not edible. We asked for the check and left, we will not return
