We visited this restaurant because of a Miami Herald Dealsaver promotion and now i see why they were on there . We walked into the restaurant and despite being trendy and nicely decorated, it was humid and damp inside which wasnt good. Once we were sat, we immediately saw a roach crawling up the wall in the corner behind my friends seat and a waiter came by immediately to kill it. We asked him if this was normal and he was like oh yes as this is miami, we are on the first floor and that it could have been worse because he has previously seen much larger roaches outside before. In no form did this make it any better so we let him know and waited to see if they apologized or something only to be told that no one was forcing us to be there and that we could leave if we wanted. It was late by then so we stayed (unfortunately). I decided to order a miso soup and a rainbow roll ( which was less expensive and not on the menu). By the way, most of their rolls are $16 and above and are tiny. My miso soup tasted like old fish/seaweed and the tuna on top of my rainbow roll had a weird/discolored reddish color (i didnt eat it). I returned the soup to an obnoxious waitress which we observed on several occasions turn around after placing an order and rolling her eyes.( My husband and i ordered; a miso soup, one roll, a fried rice and 2 drinks and paid $55).This place is very stuck-up, which is strange given that its some random high-end wannabe sushi joint off of SW 8th street in little havana. There is so much better sushi in miami for much less or if not, the same price but with larger portions and much better sushi-grade quality. I couldnt help but laugh when I was leaving and I overheard a couple say "oh wow, i guess its an expensive night out for dinner tonight. " Save yourself the hassle and checkout; Sakura (gables), POC, Sushi rock, Suski maki, Mikan or even Iron sushi ( which isnt that great) before you come to this place!

Mr.Yum is the best!I went here this week and it was divine!I came on a weekday at about 6:00 there werent many people,so it was not crowded.Although its usually packed i prefer the quiet atmosphere. People complain about the neighborhood but honestly there is nothing wrong with it.If this place was in coral gables the menu would be 3 times more expensive. The place is modern, upbeat, clean, and very pleasant with excellent servers and service. They are extremely professional, nice the best ive had in all my restaurant experience. The food was=yummy!I had calamari and the batter was excellent and they were not greasy or soggy. The vegetable egg roll is also delish and fresh as well as the special rice. And the doughnuts are sooooo cool and very good as well!Highly recommend this place! TWO-THUMBS UP!

First, its a small place, prepare to wait for inside seating. Small parking, so must park on street and since calle ocho is a one way, prepare to walk or loop around 1 or 2 times. No reservations accepted "supposedly". We gave our name to wait and we were second in line to get table. I kid you not, a mercedes pulled up with some people and totally skipped two parties of 4 waiting. Some Miami Vice looking Chinese Manager with a 2 ft mohawk haircut and shirt button down sat them down. We asked a waitor are there reservations and he said no, the waiter complained for us to the manager and he said oh, that table is the only reserved one. That is the level of service, so stay away. Calle Ocho y Chino no pega LOL..

Food was great but the service was bit lacking. Our server didnt check on us often enough to see we were ready to leave. I presented a google offer for Mr. Yum and they said their computer couldnt take it. The coupon didnt expire until another 6 months! They said they couldnt do anything about. I was surprised and upset about that. They asked me if I could wait until the Owner comes which was in another hour but I thought that was ridiculous. They finally remedied it (somehow) before the owner came. Overall, it was disappointing about using the Groupon or Google offers at this place. They practically wasted my time waiting for my bill.

Some people recomended me this place like the 8th World Wonder,I am a chinese food fanatic.I have been to many chinese restaurants all my life.Starting with the lobster, some tiny pieces, with some greasy noodles that were like soy sauce with sugar for $26.00 and the fried rice had three shrimps,3 pieces of boiled chicken breast and two tiny pieces of beef.I asked about the portion size and they recommended the dinner size for $16.00 that was also small.I feel frustrated and abused and when I called the manager ,she said that she couldnt understand Why I was upset about the food.

Seriously unbelievable that I have not reviewed this place. Top 5 favorite restuarant in Miami. Food, Service, Atmosphere. What more do you need? NOTHING. This place does everything right! I was going here once a week for a while. Now, it is more like once a month just for lack of time. I have tried everything on the menu and EVERYTHNG is just amazing. Walking distance from little art galleries in little havana. Great location plenty of parking was a plus. Indoors and outdoors, get there before or after the dinner rush if you want to get a good table.

TERRIBLE SERVICE !!!! Ordered takeout during lunch, they got the order wrong and then to top it all off they are rude, and instead of offering to remake the order, they said there was nothing they could do !!! NEVER GOING AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!! Plus it is too small of a space for all the people they try to fit in there ! it is over crowded with tables that u are practically stting on top of each other at night ! it looks likea can of sardines !!!! the decor is cheap and ugly, and the food is over priced for the poor quality !!!!

Worst service ever!! This place used to be one of my favorite spots but after my last experience, I refuse to go and spend my money there. I was on a date and the waitress rudely came to the table to ask why I only tipped 10% instead of 20% and made a big scene. It was upsetting enough that I had bad service during the meal, but the show made at the end pushed me over the edge. I hope the owners of the restaurant can do a better job of staffing especially if they are trying to be "high end".

I had the steamed pork dumpling - Good and the sauce was tasty. the fried calamari - you cant really mess that up - it was tasty as well. the chicken pad thai was too sweet for my tasting so when i do go back i wont be ordering it . Overall cool spot for lunch- the service was fast and the waiters and waitresses were very pleasant. I dont know why some of you had such horrible customer service experience .... they were nothing but proefessional and nice. The price however , is too high .

Lets just say I ordered 2 rolls which were $40 and they were tapas size(literally a little tease) at least if they would have been orgasmic they would have been worth it. Had way better sushi at a million other places. Needless to say we went to another restaurant to eat because we were still hungry. So unless youre ready to drop a $100 per person not your spot. Did I mention we didnt even order drinks, just water. Overrated and OVER PRICED
