My mother came home with a "soy free, gluten free chocolate peanut butter cupcake" for me today. Before opening it I realized there was some type of peanut butter cup crumbled on top of it. Skeptical, because there is no peanut butter cups that are soy free, In any market, I call the store. I spoke with a very nice, helpful, employee who spoke to the owner for me. I learned that, "There is only soy lecithin in the peanut butter cups, and most people who have soy allergies are not allergic to soy lecithin, so we wrote soy free on it". I am completely horrified that a establishment that specifically caters to those who are discriminated against for having gluten allergies, sensitivities, or celiac disease, is knowingly leaving out the fact that a "soy free" item has soy in it. Im glad I did not eat the cupcake, because if I had, my throat would be closing up by now, and I would be violently throwing up. I only hope that the others who are allergic to soy do not make my same mistake in trusting Natures Grocer, and that the owners are 100% truthful about the ingredients.

I stop in to this store weekly on our way to dance. My daughter is gluten intolerant and its the only place I never have to worry about what shes eating. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The store is always clean and the baked goods are absolutely delicious. We try something new each time and are always satisfied! Havent tried an a actual meal yet but will soon. The only reason its not a 5 is due to prices. The groceries could certainly be more affordable but otherwise a wonderful place.

I stopped by here today, what a great little shop! They have a lot packed in here, besides groceries and frozen items, produce, cleaning products, and personal care items and such, they also have baked goods, coffee, meals to go or eat in the cute dining area with books to browse thru! Make it a point to visit this store! :) The people who work here are very friendly and helpful too. Thanks for bringing a health food store, and a charming personable one at that, to Vernon!

Wasnt impressed. Ordered a veggie wrap with goat cheese. Tasted like there was half a brick of cream cheese thrown in there dont know if it was goat cheese or cream cheese but pretty sure it was cream cheese. Got a local ginger ale for drink tasted funny and realized it was expired by 3 months. Staff seemed nice, store could be better organized and laid out. Hope others have a better experience then I did. I usually love places like this.

I have a gluten allergy and live in Western Massachusetts. Its worth the trip to go down there. Had a great sandwich for lunch and then did a little bit of shopping after. I cant wait to go back again. The staff is willing to go out of their way to make sure that you have a good experience. Two thumbs up for this place.

I had the best chicken salad wrap with avocado here yesterday. . Went back today because it was so good. Disappointed to find out I drove 20 mins back and forth to have received the wrong order. Received a chicken wrap loaded with onions and little bit of spice. Most definitely was not what I was looking for.

Pretty good selection of your standard health food store standards, home cleaning items, bulk items, pantry stuff, etc. I ordered a cake for my husband birthday and it was "good" but not "great". I wouldnt necessarily steer people away, but I think I will order elsewhere next time.

I cant eat dairy or gluten, and Im obsessed with their baked goods! Their cupcakes and donuts are so good I forget I have allergies! Theyre not just basic either they have good variety, Also their gluten free frozen stuff is not freezer burned like stop & shops.
