Wait staff was very good and hard working, food not so much. Everything from the salsa that came with the chips on up to my entree was quite bland. Part of my entree was a beef taco that was basically like unseasoned sloppy joe mix stuffed into a hard taco shell. The enchilada roja with chicken- really seemed like breaded chicken was wrapped in it?! Tamale was also quite bland and flavorless. My date liked her shrimp fajitas but I have to say its the first time Ive seen fajitas come out that were not sizzling on the plate and the sauce with it appeared to be coagulating already. Not sure how that was given that there were only 3 tables seated in the place. A table next to us seemed to be enjoying their meal. Lastly were the drinks- so weak that Im not actually sure there was alcohol in them. My date is pretty sensitive to alcohol, with a few obvious tells, and yet it appeared as if there was none in her drink either. There are a few more authentic places in the area for Mexican food, I wouldnt go to Coyote Flaco again.

I made an order from this place through Grubhub. 40 minutes later I received an alert that my food was on the way. Two hours later the food still hadnt arrived. I called Grubhub and was told the food would be coming soon and that the manager wanted to speak with me. He dismissed my concerns, said he cant be expected to keep track of his drivers, and said he wasnt interested in my business. Food arrived two and a half hours after I ordered it. It wasnt awful, but it wasnt all that great. Try Monte Alban on Farmington Ave instead. Or drive down to New Haven and go to Mexcal. Food is far better and youll be there and back before Coyote Flaco has your order ready.

This was beyond the worst Mexican food I have had in my entire life!!!! The food was cold when it was delivered 2 hours later, when I literally live less than 5 minutes away, I could not pick up my food because I had just had surgery. It is overpriced, and as a Chef or even if I was home cook, I can make better Mexican food than they ever could. I think they should burn the menu, fire the cooks, and start all over again. The disappointment was unreal!!! YUCK!!!! If you are considering this place, dont!!

Fantastic, fresh tasting food. Very good service. Weve tried most of the menu by now, and weve never had a bad meal here. This is a restaurant where you can taste the ingredients in the food, and its not just layered over with a sauce or cheese. My better half rates the Margaritas highly. My kids always go for the tacos or enchiladas, and love them. The only downside I can think of is finding parking on a busy night, and maybe having to wait a few minutes to be seated.

Excellent Carne a La Tampiquena. Great find with nice ambiance. The server was friendly and prompt. He also makes a great margarita with a floater. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly and the garlic salsa was to die for. The chicken enchilada was very good as was chorizo. There was plenty of leftovers too. The kitchen was very fast and the presentation was nice. The salsa was tasty but a bit too hot for my taste.

This is the worst "Mexican food" Ive ever had. I ordered two meals & got a small bag a chips I guess for us to share. The driver said he could not find the street so by the time we got the food it was cold. It literally made me nauseous & sick to my stomach. Ive made better Mexican food at home. I learned a $30 lesson. I will never order from this place against. The food is absolutely disgusting.

I went there with my sister and we left unimpressed, honestly. Very little food, basic fare and not worth what I paid for it. Maybe should try once more, but some friends of mine went there and left complaining about the small amount of food relationship e to what you get in amounts. Maybe Ill skip this place again. Cheers to all who did like it

I admit...Im spoiled when it comes to margaritas, being from Texas theres a Mexican restaurant around every corner it seems. Love the chips. The salsa was just right. Had both the house and a frozen margarita. The house one was on happy hour. Nice flavor and decent price for New England, the frozen was a tad sweet for me.

Everything I tried was spectacular. The chips, guacamole, margaritas, burrito, churros, are all amazing. The place is definitely cozy, and the parking is awful, the general neighborhood is struggling, but the food is worth it. Definitely a hidden gem thats worth trying.

This is a great place to go for some solid Tex Mex food, and a great margarita. Not the place to go for scenic views but a good choice to go with friends. Service has always been good and we are never disappointed.

Best margaritas around. I cant have them anywhere else. Food is great and servers are great. They are friendly and make you feel like family. I cant say enough about this place.
