Ein gemütliches Restaurant, mit wohnlicher Atmosphäre und einem grandiosen Fischmenü. Uns hat der Hunger auf Fisch während einer Dienstreise dorthin geführt und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Frische Austern zur Vorspeise, eine tolle Bouillabaisse und als wenn der Fisch nicht schon lecker genug wäre, ist die Füllung der Hit. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hat alle unsere Fragen zum Menü beantwortet. Nur Geschirr und die Einrichtung waren mir etwas zu bunt, aber das ist Geschmackssache. Auf jeden Fall ein Must-Go wenn man in der Gegend ist.

We wouldnt go back. First off, you have a fine dining place setting (dinner fork, salad fork, soup spoon, and butter knife) with blue linen napkins, but the table is covered with a brown sheet of crinkly paper. Weird but we figured the food would make up for the decor and atmosphere. We ordered the Calamari as an appetizer, which was okay, the bland breading kept falling off but it was cooked correctly, so points for that I guess. The marinara was watery and definitely from a can. My husband ordered the Admirals platter to try a bit of everything and couldnt eat more than a few bites. He couldnt stomach it, and hes not a picky eater. The salad that "came with his meal" was a premade salad on a freezing cold plate suggesting its been sitting in a fridge for hours before being brought to the table. The Staff were very friendly when we were greeted but upon sitting we were ignored the majority of the meal, so that was the cherry on top. We wont be returning.

Saw this place the day before and it had a large lunch crowd, as we couldnt stop than we decided to come back the next day. Again a large crowd and after having lunch there we knew why. The food is what you hope for when you try a place out for the first time. Everything was delicious, from the fresh bread snack starter, the salad was very fresh, and the entrees were delectable. Jewel had the Stuffed Scrod and I had the Baked Stuffed Shrimp. Both dishes came with fresh sauted veggies, and a large helping of brown rice. Everything was cooked to perfection. We brought home some leftovers as the salads were huge. I made a comment on FB about the service being slow, but just realised its that way in the Fl Keys also, but again its really great food. So if your in a rush, you may want to hit up McDonalds in New Hartford, If you would like to try some outstanding #Seafood you will not be disappointed with #SaybrookFishHouse.

This is one of my new favorite places. My boyfriend took me for my bday it was our 2nd time there. Can't say I was disappointed. The food is fabulous!! The portions are nice and big. I can never finish it. We started with raw clams which I love. Than we shared cup of French onion and their clam chowder. Both were great. Our entrees come with salad. Only thing I don't like is the dressing. They are both pretty mild.. disappointing. But by that time i was FULL. But our dinners came out they smelled amazing... some people have commented that it takes so long to get out of there. My suggestion if your in a hurry go to burger king!! The prices are not bad at all. I can't wait to go back again!!

Over priced by nearly 50%. Had fishermans platter mostly French fries, cod fish 1/2 the size of a bar of soap, 3 pieces of shrimp, enough clam strips to fill a 5 year olds hand...certainly not worth $25. Ceasar salad barely had dressing on it. Slow service, there just over 2 hours. Will not recommend nor NEVER go back. $200 check for french fries. Better off going to Friendlys for same meal with better portion and price, plus an ice cream. The waitress was nice, N.E. clam chowder was good as was the pina colada and I have never seen scallops so small knowing theres different species, these were smaller than midget scallops. Dont be disappointed, just go some place else. 00

I absolutely love eating here especially since they added the outdoor patio. The only thing that could make it better, is if they played tropical music ie Jimmy Buffett or Marley. It was a little off-putting hearing top 40 music. Ill go back again and again. Another thing I would love to see you as maybe a tiki bar. Their bread and their garlic dressing is out of this world, and I keep trying to talk my husband into just eating appetizers because theyre also fantastic but he never goes for it LOL. But thats because he loves the entrees so much

This place has good food and pleasant wait- staff. I have been here 3 times and all 3 times the food was perfectly cooked and delicious. Definitely try some seafood, they dont call it a fish house for nothing l, but my family can vouch that the beef and chicken options are just as good. The bottomless salad bowl and bread basket they bring you are a nice touch. The best part about this place is that it has butcher paper as a tablecloth with a small cup of crayons provided. Even my 65 year old grandpa loves to draw on the table!

Im thinking that the bad reviews are by local competitors. Ive been going to this establishment for over 14 years and every time I leave 110% satisfied. Their stuffed shrimp is amazing, crab cakes are to die for, and their house dressing is superb. Every waiter I had during my many visits was polite, sometimes not as attentive as could be but very accommodating. Lots of local beers on tap, great atmosphere make this an ideal dinner destination. Over a dozen visits and nothing but excellent reviews!

Saybrook Fishhouse in Canton is the best place I have ever had seafood, in CT. The creamy garlic salad dressing is amazing & my go-to menu items are the crab cakes (divine) & the mussels with or without the linguine (also divine). I have never been disappointed. And my friend says the scallops are the best! Service is great but they can be a little quicker giving the check.

For several years I have been coming to the Saybrook Fish House for their fine fish - especially their fried belly clams. They have satisfied all my deep longing for excellent fried belly clams, and all the trimmings! They are fresh, crispy, and delicious! And the sides are fresh and tasty too! They take me back to my childhood and family outings at the shore.

Love this place! Especially after tubing on farmington river l... its just down the street and the outside patio is really nice. Usually get the boom boom shrimp (amazing) the calamari and shrimp are huge and always fresh... entrees are pricey but apps are decent priced and amazing!!! Visit for yourself you wont be disappointed

Excellent food the place is nice you can enjoy the weather and sit outside the only thing we did not like is that they charge you for each refill of soda and its a small glass with most of it being ice Me and my Wife were surprised it cost $10.00 for 4 small cups of ice and the menu online is not the same.

Love the bar area here! Great drinks, seafood raw bar and appetizers. Very comfortable with friendly staff and fun atmosphere. All of their seafood entrees are well done and prepared correctly. Their salad with their excellent homemade dressing should not be missed !

Staff was extremely helpful and genuinely interested in what I wanted.. The food was outstanding.. Cod fish was flaky moist.. Hot and the creamy garlic sauce was heavenly decadent and prices were very good. Do not miss it.. Worth it.
