Place is ok. I liked the old look of an old soda fountain hangout complete with a Merry-go-round. Place was a 4 star on yelp but sadly I saw fit with my 3 star. I asked the bartender what was cool for a first time try. He recommended a Egg Cream Fountain drink, egh. Cool with the whole carbonated drink but the taste was really funky for me. I wish I had more time to explore there menu but with free parking ticking away, and I had to see all of Santa Monica Pier in a hurry. I can see myself coming back tho, the menu looks awesome.

Tried their chocolate egg cream (never had it before) but my east coast friends say it reminds them of their childhood. It tasted like nesquik, soda water and cream. I asked for a tap water and they gave me a little dixie cup worth- I laughed. There is a carousel in the middle of the building and the place smells. They definitely up-charge because they are on the Santa Monica pier. We walked outside and stood in their gazebo on the pier and watching volleyball players beneath us.

The pier is a great place to have fun, but this place like so many other food establishments on the pier is horribly bland and overpriced. Bring your own snacks. I miss the icee guys with the cart.

Just awesome. The milkshakes are fantastic. My son is addicted to the strawberry ice cream soda. The only problem is they are closed on odd days/hours. So check the website before you go!

The worker said they were closed when it was 4:47pm when it was stated they close at 5pm.
